Queen Vasilisa Dragomir...well well well. We got that one as well, but the trails she went through, those were unexpected. . I LOVED the trials Lissa had to go through... very imaginative and well thought-out. Hats off to the dude who came up with the forest trial! I'll be interested to see how Jill's character will develop, because at the moment shes really sweet and innocent, but theres hints of her having quite a bold and tough personality. Did someone say bloodlines was going to be set in a normal californian school? (or did I read that wrong?) I wonder if thats where Jill ends up being put to give her a 'normal' life... maybe she'll rebel or something lol | |

But Rose won't be at the court - Lissa is going to college and Rose will have to go with her.

I want to know what had happened to her once they all left for Court to tell everyone about Jill and Tasha.
It's confirmed that Sydney will be one of the main characters in Bloodlines, as well as Jill. She will be going to school, but will also have to be at the court too, since she is Queen. Her time will be split even if she uses someone to help run the court. Maybe on the weekends. | |

I kept thinking while reading about Lissa's forest trial that it reminded me of The Hunger Games. It's slightly similar to what Katniss had to go through when she was in the games. Oh yes! It will be interesting to see how Jill's character will develop and change. Perhaps Victor saw something in her that the others have missed, hence his warning about sending her away? | |

I think it had more to do with the fact she could be used to get to Lissa. She wasn't strong and could easily be manipulated. I was wondering if anyone caught Dimitri hesitating about Christian's future when he said ". . . they won't be together every moment, especially with her going to Lehigh. He's not going . . . but they'll keep coming back to each other." What exactly do you think he was referring too? Christian living at court while Lissa is at Lehigh or going somewhere else, maybe somewhere other than college, like a California Highschool? | |

| OMG!!!!i just finished reading it yesterday...it twas totally AWESOME. Tho 3/4 into Spirit bound i knew who the sibling was and when it finished i knew who the killer really was. it was all just so obvious to me... probably because that's how i would heave writen it. So going into 'Last Sacrifice' i Basically knew the story already, tho how things unfolded where quite different, i mean obviously, from what i expected.
all the clues where there for Tasha. the Cards that Rhonda read said Rose would be betraid by someone she trusted and looked up to. then you ahd Tasha there when Rose Threatened the Queen and Tasha never showed up for Rose's trial. and a bunch of other little details. it was just painfully obvious to me the whole time, for both Jill AND Tasha.
Tho i never pegged Daniella as to have her own thing, i never imagined that she'd known about Jill or was the one to steal the file from the Alchemist....i never pegged her for someone so caniving.......Tho i NEVER liked her to start with.
-------
I am sad to see the 'bond' gone, but I'm glad Rose gets to be her own person again. she needed it. she needed to be seperated from Lissa the pressure and the Darkness where both getting to her pretty bad.
-------
I knew Rose and Dimitri would get back together...they just had to....but it's like one of those things you know will happen but then when it does you're like "WOW!"
And Rose is so Right about Adrian. He deservs someone who is to him like Rose is to Dimitri. And if he can get is life straightened up then he could do some Really GREAT things for the people. | |

| Just finished it. OMG. I guess I expected who the sibling and the killer were, but it wasn't in a very obvious way. I loved it. I cried in those dimitri-and-rose scenes... They were just so great.... I didn't like the bond gone however.... It's not the same, without it, Lisa and Rose are just two good friends.... -.-' Never mind...!!! It was better than I could expect and I can't wait for the spin-off series!!! | |

| I didn't like how the bond was gone either. It'll make it infinitely harder for Rose to protect Lissa as much as she used to, and it was just such an integral part of the story. I didn't like it one bit, although I must admit, it was a good way for the series to end, with Rose finally able to focus on her own mind, instead of Lissa's. | |

| I'm glad the bond is gone. Are you forgetting how dangerous it was for Rose? She was getting closer and closer to the border of insanity. I was relieved when I realized they weren't bonded anymore. | |

Me too! I was like: "Yes!" Now she's free to devote all of her attention on Dimitri I bet their auras are a complete match now that Rose's aura is no longer laced with all that black spirit-stuff. I wonder if she's still able to sense Strigoi? Perhaps she is, seeing that she came back from being dead a second time. That is something which is actually helping her a lot. Oh, I just want her and Dimitri to be happy, and there's a greater chance for that now that Rose is "her own" again. | |

I like that Rose bond was broken from Lissa too, since she was growing closer to going insane, but I hate that it will hinder her being able to protect Lissa as well as herself. However, wouldn't it be interesting if Adrian had heal her from dying later and they were shadow kissed. It won't happen, but it would be interesting to read about. | |

| I guess I felt a little disappointed. There were a few loose ends that Mead never tied up. Rose and Adrian never reconciled before the end of the book, and I would've like to have seen them at least friends again. Also, Dimitri sort of let me down. He said he wouldn't be the kind of guy to take another man's woman and, well... that's exactly what happened. Otherwise, I really liked LS. | |

| Dimka hadn't meant to do it. But what Rose said was true, she was with Adrian, but she really was meant to be with Dimitri. Just because he took Rose from Adrian, doesn't mean it wouldn't have happened later. It just furthered their bond/relationship. Rose knew it, and she accepted it. She knew she didn't really feel the same about Adrian as she did Dimitri. Honestly, I think they did the right thing. At least she didn't play with Adrian's feelings anymore... | |

| Yes, their being together was inevitable. And considering how much Dimitri really loves Rose, it's a sign of his self control that he didn't give in until then. He is, after all, just a man. A Dhampir man, true, but still The way I see it, Rose really pushed him, she didn't give him a chance. (Not that I'm complaining *does an innocent whistle*) | |

| Lol, heck yeah! She pushed herself on him, yeah, but that's because she loves him. And because when he was pleading with her, he was practically already defeated. It's not really Rose's fault they fell in love, it's just because of how in sync they are towards each other, I was so happy they got back. But with Adrian....I didn't like him getting a little crazy-insane-angry. It was scary.... | |

So true He tried, oh he tried to be the stronger one, but with so much of a very "inviting" Rose right under his nose, lol! I was sad for Adrian, but not as sad as I was happy for Dimitri and Rose to finally be together again. I like Adrian and hope he gets to become a great man. Later on... when he's over Rose. | |

| I understand that. I guess I just pity Adrian. It's not that I really wanted he and Rose to be together. But I kind of wanted her to fix things with him before she got her happily ever after, y'know? Also, I was waiting for Mead to reveal what exactly it was that Abe did for Sydney besides get her out of Russia. It seemed like she owed him big-time. | |

Yeah, me too But I dont think Rose could've avoided breaking Adrians heart in some form or another. Maybe she could've told him before she'd gotten back with Dimitri, but Adrian still would've been gutted. I like to think everything happens for a reason though, and eventually Adrian will realise he's meant to be with someone else ...hopefully Sydney I also think his reaction was heavily influenced by spirit... give it a few days/weeks and Adrian might think a little more rationally... I really hope we follow Adrians story in bloodlines. - Quote :

Yep, its quite possible... given he seems to be attracted to her. I'm sensing a love triangle ... maybe, maybe not... It will be interesting to get a better idea of whats going on in sydneys world/head... and what she really thinks of everyone. | |

| A love triangle would be very intriguing, although I'd rather see Sydney, Ian and Eddie involved in one I don't think Sydney will ever be able to really like vampires and Moroi are more of that than Dhampirs. So Eddie might actually be a possible candidate. I'd so love to see Eddie happy again and with his good reputation restored. | |

| Maybe Eddie'll end up with Mia...never know.
I don't fancy a love triangle after the Dimitri - Rose - Adrian, one in the past few books. I'd love to see if a couple, or two, will get married and RM writes in one marriage....a trip to Siberia would be amazing, so Dimka could tell his family that he's a dhampir again, and that he and Rose are a couple again, but out in the open this time.
Any thoughts? | |
