I've had a weakness for Russian names for some time, being a fan of figure skating, there are always those great Russian skaters with their beautiful names: Evgenij, Alexei, Nikolai, Valerij...but of course Dimitri is the most beautiful of them all.

Celtic names are beautiful too, my favourite is probably Conor. (From a book I once read) Sometimes, I have to admit, I'm having a hard time pronouncing them, like with Siobhan.

WOW !!!!! I just finished Last Sacrifice over the weekend!!!! Never saw the mystery of who really killed the Queen coming. as well who Lissa's missing sibling is. Thank you to Richelle Mead for wrapping up Rose's storeline!!! I can't wait for Bloodline!! why do we have to wait so long for her next release???

I'm re-reading LS right now for the third time, will probably go back and re-read the entire series after that. I'm just not ready to let go of the VA-world. Not yet...

Re-reading VA too. Its only my second time. Almost done with bk1. Theres this bit about Rose wanting to kill the queen. Dunno why I was surprised after SB guess I wasn't paying attention the first time.
It also says Dimitri has 2 sisters.

Yeah I caught that too, but in BP he has 3 sisters...Wonder if Richelle noticed?

Those sorts of mistakes are made all the time in book though, especially with Richelle. She doesn't reread her stories before writing the next. So she may have just forgotten what she'd written previously (aka. 2 or 3 sisters). It's no big deal really...it doesn't ruin the story.

It's so good to finally be back on here! I had to avoid it for the first week because my friend wanted me to wait for her to finish this other book she was reading before reading LS, and so I didn't want any spoilers, and then after that I was just to busy. THANK GOD Rose and Dimka wound up together is all I can say. I never really got into the Rose/Adrian relationship, although in SB I really did start to like Adrian. But he just wasn't Dimitri, you know?

I sorta like Adrian just as Adrian with out rose, though I feel bad for him

Super sad its over... Very happy with the outcome

I only figured out it was Tasha right at the moment when they went back to Court and Rose saw Christian, the way she said it, obviously sold it... I'm just still shocked, I knew she was still in love with Dimitri (I will no longer refer to him as "Dimka", that was Tasha's nick for him, me no likey...) but I didn't think she'd be capable of murder and frame Rose for it, I thought she was a friend, I felt personally insulted at that, lol! Feel so sorry for Christian, OMG! So sad! But he's with Lissa now, he won't be completely alone, so that's good.

I knew it was Jill from the moment they said Michigan... It was obvious, the only character that we knew from, that lives in Michigan is her, so, I figured that one out... Also her green eyes, and Rose's reaction to them in "Spirit Bound" played a very important part in that revelation, specailly after the note that Tatiana wrote to Rose at the end of "SB"... We're obviously going to hear more from her in the spin-off series; not sure if it'll be from her POV, but we'll hear from her for sure, that story is very much unfinished.

LISSA IS THE NEW FREAKING QUEEN!!! DAGNABBIT!! WHOOOO!!! I knew it since the moment Ekaterina said that Ariana failed the test. Period. She'll be amazing, I'm sure... lol! So happy that she and Christian are back together!!

Now to my favorite person/character EVER! Rosemarie Hathaway.

I love this chick so much its not even funny. I mean I love other female characters (i.e. Bella Swan, Hermione Granger, Ani from Wicked Lovely, Lena from Beautiful Creatures). But this one, its on another level. Rosemarie Hathaway is such a special character, I wish I had the balls to do the things I want for me, just as she does. I love her. And on top of that, she has a boyfriend who is equally BADASS! Independent, strong, gutsy, I love it!! I'm so happy that she and dimitri are back together!!! They're the kind of people that I look up to, they do the things they do, they're self-sufficient, loyal to the people they love, UGH!! I can go on and on and I would never finish! Ok, moving on, I LOVE YOU ROSE AND DIMITRI!!!

Sonya and Mikhail's reunion... OH. MY. GOD!! So beautiful, so sad and so happy at the same time!!

I LOVE SYDNEY!! She's on my top favves list... I have a feeling "Bloodlines" is going to be from her POV...

I feel for Eddie, on that agree with Adrian, I mean, it was kind of collateral damage, Eddie was affected by the decisions that involved Eddie in Rose's plans, and he's not out of the can yet, I'm afraid... Hang in there Eddie!

Adrian Ivashkov... I love this dude... He's funny, he's sexy, he's hot, he has a good heart, I feel for him... Its ok Adrian, you'll find love again... I don't like his mother, but whatever, that's beside the point...

Another thing I DID NOT see coming was Rose's and Lissa's "un-bounding" and Rose accidentally killing Victor... UUUUFFFF! That was intense!

I have to agree with another writer in here, I'm kind of sad that she didn't even reference Dimitri's family in Siberia...

Rose's dad is hilarious, crazy and scary, but really funny... I loved the book, I think everything that had to happen, happened. And I'm very happy about that. THANK YOU RICHELLE!

I wish I had a Dimitri in my life... Yes, this 26 year old wishes for a Dimitri in her life... And, yes, if you hadn't figured it out, I AM A DORK.

Just re-read LS because i flew thru it the first time around (and missed some details-lol) and I feel the need to say...

It kinda pissed me off how Adrian reacted to Rose in that final scene with him. Yes, she was wrong for cheating on him but he acts like she doesn't care about anyone else. When he talks about her other friends (jill, sydney, eddie...). Ummm, she was JUST shot and ALMOST died and has only been awake for uh, 2 days?! What was she supposed to have done?!?! It really made me mad when I re-read it. And I like Adrian.

On a flip note, I love when he says "The contract's null and void, by the way." And Rose has no witty response. It cracked me up.

I actually felt badfor Adrian. Though I never felt that Rose loved him. Maybe if she really had killed Dimitri in Blood Promise she could have but Dimitri and Rose, they are apart of each other. Adrian could never win... though I do love him, poor boy
