I'm glad I'm not the only one who picked up on that little bit. Somehow it just made the temperature in the room rocket when I read it.

It will be a long wait until August, I'm dying to find out more about Sydney and the other characters. Richelle has promised a cameo by Rose, can't wait to find out about her and Dimitri's lives as guardians. I only hope Lissa and Christian will be happy together, I was a bit worried by Lissa's remark (during her bedside talk with Rose): "I know he'll be better in time... I just hope I can be there for him enough." Proud Christian, keeping so many of his feelings buried deep inside... I still don't really like the fact it was Tasha who killed Tatiana, it should have been Adrian's mum... Sorry, but that's how I feel.

I agree. I could see Adrian's mom doing it. But Tasha! I never ever saw that coming it was a major wth! moment

I think many of us thought she did it, but hoped she didn't do it. I guess I was hoping so much that it would be Daniella, and when, for a while, it seemed like it was actually her, I was so relieved, only to be completely gobsmacked by the revelation it was Tasha.

We had fair warning in the scene where Rose had her second reading of the Tarot cards. One of the cards said that she would be betrayed by a woman, by someone Rose trusted.

it made sense it was Tasha... not only the whole Moroi training bit, but also the whole love and jealousy for Dimitri... Rose wasn't the only one caught in a love triangle..Dimitri obviously didn't make it fully clear that it was not happening, and i'm guessing when he turned down her offer to be her guardian/lover she connected the dots... but when he turned back from a Strigoi and she saw the hostility Rose was circling in court, with the queen and running away and her outbursts with Dimitri, Tasha figured that it was the perfect time to get her way on EVERYTHING.. the fighting, the guardians, making a mark on history AND getting Dimitri..I wonder if they'll execute her??

Well... I think they would since she still murdered the queen. I mean, I doubt just because she's a royal (and not even a royal anyone in the Moroi world particularly likes) they'd probably still come to that same sentence for her. I was actually thinking about this last night. It doesn't feel like something that would happen in the VA books, but I guess Tasha's death sentence would have to happen eventually. Even though Lissa is Queen now, I doubt the royal Moroi on the Council would stand for letting Tasha live when the traditional sentencing would have been to execute her.

This makes me worry about Christian.

Yeah Tasha had every reason to want to kill the queen and blame it on Rose

Yeah I kinda worry about Christain too, how would he handle it if Lissa didn't step in on his Aunts execution? You know not even attempt to figure out something, maybe life imprisonment as an alternative or something? He could very well blame Lissa since she's in a position of power.. I guess we'll never know unless there's a wedding or a royal event in Jills future in Bloodlines, where she goes back to Court, even then we might not get much insight seeing as Jills still kinda an outsider to obtain that kinda of information.. Hopefully her And Lissa can fix there awkward relationship so we can continue to see how things develop. But a wedding would be nice=] Lissa and Christian or Rose and Dimitri either way I'd be happy:)

I hope in Bloodline Christian is involved so we can get some closure about his future and even Tasha. Since Lissa is Queen, she would be the one overseeing the trial of her and have two votes like Tanitia had. That is, the court doesn't request she isn't part of the trial, being that her relationship with Christian. But if she did reside over the trial, I can see her sentencing her to jail instead of death. That's the type of person she is.

But you are right, I can see them getting married after college. However, I have a feeling Bloodlines isn't going to span over several years so we can watch Jill grow up and them get married. Most YA books don't follow characters who are older than 18. They may have secondary characters who are older, but not the main character. That's probably why Sydney is the main character, also this series is geared toward older teenagers (17 - 18) even though all ages read it.

So more than likely all were going to ses in Bloodlines is Lissa figuring out a way Jill's life will no longer be in danger, because of her position as Queen. That's also why the story is based in California, so jill will remain safe. Sydney is helping, because Abe also would like to keep Lissa Queen for Rose sake and maybe his own. Maybe we'll find out more abou him too.

I have to say I'm also worried about Christian and what this will do to his and Lissa's relationship. I mean, Lissa is the queen and as such she will have to see to it that the laws are being followed and that any sentence is also carried out. I can't see Lissa sentence anyone to death, but the other Moroi will probably not be as forgiving. It's a pity this must be settled so soon after her becoming queen, otherwise she might have had time to make profound changes to the laws. Being as popular as she is, I think she is the one to enforce some new laws to guide and govern Moroi society.

I wish Richelle would only give us a no 7 in this series

I know, it's kind of hard to see Rose married, after all we're used to seeing her as this strong, independent young woman. And also, it seems like guardians don't get married. But being who she is, rebellious and doing things her way, I can actually see her getting married - just because it is never done. But of course they can wait. After all, Dimitri must survive his talk with Abe and Janine first God, I loved that short scene at the very end when Dimitri joined Rose and her parents, looking like a teenage boy again - so self conscious and nervous about being approved by Zmey and the great Janine Hathaway, lol!

Me too! Dimitri means "earth mother" I named my a character in my book Dimitri (he's one of my favorite characters to write)
