| Brissa- the easiest way to use the spoiler tag correct is to type what you wish you wish to type. When your done typing simply highlight the portion you want to be included in the spoiler tag. Then click on others and then spoilers. The highlighted portion will be imputed into the spoiler tag without area. I think what you did was click the spoiler tag code and then wrote what you wished to write after the quote. That's not the correct way to use it. You words have to be in between code which sometimes if your careful can miss up. Which is why highlighting is easier and more efficient. Okay I'm just going to go ahead and make my response my big spoiler tag so if you haven't read the book don't read this unless you want to know major spoilers. - Spoiler:
Zoey just wasn't that complex of a character to carry narration for an entire series. So doing this different POV per chapter is really saving the HON series and making it appealing, slightly. I still have my issues with the series. But i like the plot, the world created. And i love Stevie Rae. I love Stark. I love the Red Fledglings. I love Kalona too for the whole fallen angel aspect. The Other-world. It's all real good stuff. But this series lack power behind those good aspects. The delivery is poor. The writing is poor. BUt the story is just good enough to keep me interested.
Anyway for Awakened. I actually really like the end portion of the book. I just though the first half was dull and nothing was really a happening. I got way into the ended and was screaming aloud at the book. Jack dying didn't surprise me. It fit into the story. I was a little annoyed at the whole raven by day and boy by night-that is far too much like Shrek for my taste. And if you think about it, nothing was really resolved in this book....the issues that ended in burned are still left open and unresolved. The rouge red fledglings... we get a mention of them and that was it. Like common, i understand it doesn't have to be totally resolved but atleast an inclusion of some sort...

Too many people were disgusted by Redbird's apparent lack of badassery, most likely, thus the tough loving ensures in that thread. If i hear right, if Redbird becomes an actual badass after Awakened, maybe her reception would be somewhat warmer(then again, maybe not!) | |

| I really enjoyed Awakened. Once I got past the halfway mark that is. I love this series, but I hate how it's being dragged out. Half the books are blah and by the time you are ejoying it it's over which pisses me off. - Spoiler:
Jack dying broke my heart. I knew it was going to happen and knew Neferet was to blame but it didn't stop the tears. I think I cried more for Damien and Dutchess than Jack though.
I'm really happy with Raphaim choosing Stevie Rae although the bird by day boy by night really sucks but Stevie Rae is happy and everyone knows so I'm happy.
I'm glad Kalona isn't controlled by Neferet. I have a feeling by the end of the series he'll be against her and help Zoey and hopefully gain Nyx's forgiveness. At least that's what I'm hoping for.
Dragon pissed me off. i completely understand him not forgiving Rephaim, I doubt I would ahve but with what Nyx said to him and knowing what Neferet was doing, yet he still bought into her load of bs and chose her. Its a damn shame cause I like Dragon. Reminds me of when Dallas turned...
Oh and the whole Heath thing...WTF?! Thats going to be weird...
I felt bad for Zoey when her mom died, but at least she got to know that her mother did truely love her.
I sure hope the next book-Destined out in November, will be goo from beginning to end. Oh and in case you don't know (i haven't gone through all the posts), Dragon's Oath a short story about Dragon and Anastasia comes out in July and "Nyx in the House of Night: Mythology, Folklore and Religion in the PC and Kristin Cast Vampyre Series comes out in June. At least thats what amazon says... | |

| Wilda i agree with you completely . I'm annoyed with the series because it takes so long for things to pick up and then when things get interesting its over. I think thats why i have my weird ocd things when i re-read the whole series before the release of the latest books. It helps lessen that factor. But still, with this series I love the general story i just want more out of it. - Spoiler:
the whole bird by day, boy by night just gets me so so mad. Its too much shrek for my taste.
