While I'm not really a fan of the series, I have to say I really liked Collins in The Blind Side. As far as how well she'll fit the character... well I'm not really qualified to say as I haven't finished the book.

I think Lily is a great choice. I've never considered her but she's better than a lot of other actresses that were rumored. I am really excited that they have started casting. Can't wait to find out who will play Jace!

Hmmm just thought of something...Is it me or does the model for Clary look like Rachelle Leferve<sp? who played Victoria in Twilight and New Moon?

I love the cover too. If you go to Cassie Clare's livejournal, she's got close up shots of Clary's face and the ring around her neck...very cool!
And yeah, she does sort of look like Rachelle

I haven't dedcided if I like the new cover... I like that Simon is on the cover! I like him alot. I like these books Ok. Clary and Jace ... UMMMM NO don't like them. BUT I love Alec and Magnus.
oddly enough though, in Clockwork Angel I LOVE Will but hate Jace.... no clue why though, Will just calls to my soul

I hear Alex Pettyfer is the front runner for the part of Jace. For a while I was compeltley against him as Jace but now, I can honestly see it. He's a pretty good actor and I think he could portray Jace well.

Oh and i read an interview with Lily, and she said filming should start in April! I'm SO excited. Can't wait to see COB as a movie.

Mmm I don't know who I like more Jace or Will. They are both so much alike, but they have different kinds of charm if that makes sense lol. I like Jem too, but he's too nice. I want to see him idk be angry or something. I cna't wait for Clockwork Prince. I'm looking forward to getting to know the characters more. Maybe then I can choose between Jace and Will.

Clary...I like Tessa, but I love Clary more. She's pretty cool. But we're still learning about Tessa, so I could change my mind. Who do you like better?

I think Alex is a great choice. I didn't at first but he's grown up a lot and he's a pretty good actor. I think he can pull Jace off.

I love Clary, but I really like Tessa too. I love how she puts Will in his place when no one else really can. I'm looking forward to getting to know her better.

Yeah I heard he did pass up the role for some other role but then Cassie tweeted something about him still being in negotiations. So I guess it all depends on whether or not they make him the right offer. Which sucks cause I'm dead set on him being jace now! idk if I could picture anyone else as Jace.

I really hope he says yes, that would be amazing... the actor almost every fan want playing Jace Wayland!

That is not really the way this stuff works. When a studio is negotiating with an actor, that does not mean they are not looking at any other actors (or that the actor is not looking at other projects). I know the studio has in fact met with other actors and I've heard various names. I would say that what this means is that nothing is going to happen very soon. However, this 'yes' 'no' stuff is part of negotiating and ***until someone is cast as Jace***, there is basically no such thing as final news.

For the moment Wikipedia has it right (though who knows how long that will last)

Basically, the sumup is: There's no official news, and likely won't be for a while. I hope that helps. I also think it's a good idea to keep in mind that life goes on even if he doesn't get cast. It won't affect whether they make the movie or not. I am saying this mainly because I am leaving Sunday and will be off the internet for a month, so this may as well stand as what I have to say on the topic.

You're right wilda, we shouldn't think about it like the world will end if Alex isn't Jace, it'd just be nice if he was. But at least, so far, there's no definite 'No' popping up...there's just no new news.

If its not Alex then I hope they find someone who not only "looks" the part of Jace but some one that can act well.

Has anyone watched the DSAS (Dirty Sexy Alley Scene-that was too sexy for tv) video posted today? All I can say is it is HOTT! Jace shirtless, full fledged making out with Clary...in an alley...in the rain...need I say more??

You can check out cassandra clare's blog. it's a whole treasure hunt thing. Go to her blog and she gives you a letter and sends you to another blog etc until the last letter sends you to the video blog and you have to unscramble the letters for the password to watch the video. It's well worth it imo. I can't wait to see the full CoFA trailer. Only 2 weeks to go until the book is out.
