Two questions i need to ask, one of them, is how the Tartarus did Valentine managed to get a black sword of such stellar designs[in more ways than one, i might add!] Jill?

And two, who do you think is mightier, Dervish Grady[from The Demonata novels, by Darren Shan!] or Luke Garrowway[for those among us who read both series!] Jill?

Basically, she was writing something way too complicated to be wrapped up in one book, so we're getting two more: City of Lost Souls and City of Heavenly Fire.

haha i just saw her blog about this and was coming to post but you beat me to it Kim lol I am SUPER excited about this but hate that we will have to wait until 2013 to read the final book. I'm honestly not all that excited about the prequel series (specially seeing thats why it'll be 2013 before Heavenly Fire comes out) but I'll give it a try.

Yeah, it's a little sad we'll have to wait that long, but it'll be worth it. I'm still very excited about the prequels because Magnus will be in it heaps and because we get to discover more about the shadowhunter lifestyles....the prequel is set before the Accords so there's a whole heap of tension and such between the downworlders and the shadowhunters. I reckon it'll be fun!

ohhhh I didn't know all that. I'm kinda excited now that I know Magnus will be in it. He's awesome

I love him, so I can't wait to read more about it. Apparently the first chapter of Clockwork Angel is online somewhere (probably Cassandra Clare's website) but I haven't gone looking for it/read it yet.

Just read the excerpt from clockwork Angel. It's good. I think I will like the prequels after all.

EEEEEEEEKKK! Sorry, I'm way hyper. But The Clockwork Angel is finally out! The Mortal Instruments series is amazing and I'm sure The Infernal Devices will be just as good if not better. Magnus Bane. He cracks me up and Jace is irresistable.

Quite liked city of bones but I never managed to finish City of Ashes. Am I the only person who hasn't been able to finish the series?

Probably not. I've got a cousin who hasn't even started reading the first book but she does want to read it. There's going to be another three books in the series! That's so awesome! And I've finally got the first book to the prequel series Cassandra Clare's writing. Well, okay, it's a present for my sister cuz i promised her I would get her a copy of the book to own but i only bought it for her on the condition that she'll let me read it whenever i want! I haven't started it yet cuz i have a whole other stack of books i need to read first.

Has anyone read CA yet? I'm hearing great reviews about it.

I haven't got around to buying it yet...but I've actually been hearing mixed reviews about it. Some people reckon it's awesome and others think it doesn't have the same spark as MI.

I have finally read CA. I LOVED it. It's not quite as good as MI but I think it still has that same spark. It's definitely worth the read

My mum bought it for me for christmas, so I have to wait a few months to read it. My best friend gave me her copy to read, but I'd feel bad reading it now before christmas, especially since mum went to effort of asking me which book I wanted her to get for me.

I've read it and I loved it. I was nervous about reading it cause I didn't think I would like it but I'm glad I did. It's not quite as good as TMI but Cassandra doesn't disappoint with CA. I can't wait to read Clockwork Prince (fall 2011) and Clockwork Princess (fall 2012)

Oh and there will def be 3 more books in the TMI series. City of Fallen Angels (2011), City of Lost Souls (2012), and City of Heavenly Fire (2013)

Cassie Clare just tweeted about movie news. Lily Collins will be playing Clary in the movies. She looks like she could fit the part. I've never seen her in anything though, so no indepth opinion on the actor.
