| My favorite fallen angel series is Blue Bloods. It's not really a spoiler telling you that , i don't think. YOu find out in the first book, the full story of their history. Its a combination of needing blood to survive( the vampire aspect) and being fallen angels. It's by far my favorite twist on vampire-ism and fallen angel. It's a good story. The writing and "voice" takes a while to get used to but the overall story is really good. And the books are small and so easy to read i call them appetizers . loll.
I started reading Hush Hush last night. Bout half way through. I kind of like it so it far. I like the mystery in the book so far.

| I finished Dark Visions by LJ Smith today. It was pretty good. A little annoying at first cause the girl was "in love" afte ronly one day but other than that it was interesting and it had a really good ending. I might have to check out LJ's other books. | |

| Wilda- i read one of LJ series back in the day , dont remember it much but i still have the books back in my closet. lol
I finished Hush Hush this morning and i just finished the 2nd book Crescendo. It was good, in my , opinion. But i hated the cliffhanger ending. I really think it's cruel do that to readers.

| I dont reccomend reading it until the day before the release of the 3rd book. I actually checked my book to make sure pages weren't torn out...lol
I'm currently reading Immortal Beloved by Cate Tiernan... i've missed her writing! Only a few chapters in, only read for a bit while waiting in the doc office. But i like it so far.

| I just brought the Secret Circle by LJ to read before the tv show starts. Read Cresendo in January i think - I don't remember that much about it. When is Silence coming out? Think I have it reserved already. Immortal Beloved was good - the pace is a bit slow though. Waiting for its sequel too. | |

| Libby, Silence comes out October 4th 2011.
And it's funny you should mention the pace. I was up late reading and i was like "omg get to it already" and then i was thinking about Cate Tiernan's writing style and groaned. If it's anything like her other series, its going to be a steady slow place, and the romantic hook ups take a long time. I think in the sweep series, it took 3 books for the girl to kiss the guy. lol. I'm half way through now and I am enjoying it so far.

Spellbound by Cara Lynn Shultz It's going to be awhile before I get around to the Secret Circle. Got heaps of other books closer to the top of my tbr list. Read it years ago and liked it back then I think. Finished Glass Houses - I'm quite whatever about it. Still searching for the next Vamp Academy/ Hunger Games. Has anyone read anything REALLY AWESOME lately?

| Libby- i do recommend reading the 13th to life series by Shannon Delany. I truly believe thought these books aren't for everyone. I personally loved it. But, The first book is a little slow and little teen angst-y. But It still is good and held my attention. The 2nd books gets WAY better, in my opinion. Of course you have the tortured teen love aspect, a big part of the book, but it doesn't take over the whole story/plot..and it's a good story/plot. I'm waiting for the 3rd book but i've heard nothing but great things. I've heard each book becomes more advances both in writing and character development and overall story. I know with the second book, i didn't put it down, I just had to find out what happened. I loved the relationships. The action. And it got extra paranormal-y which is a plus, and when i thought i knew what was going to happened, i was thrown for a loop. That's why i read teen fiction series- for the paranormal stuff. It's a bit dark, and I've heard the next book gets way darker. | |

| I agree with Wilda about Soul Screamers...I'm pretty addicted to all things Rachel Vincent at the moment (I have Wilda to thank for that ) But yeah, that's about it for YA books recently though. I mean, there have been some awesome books, but nothing SUPER awesome. | |

| I've never read Balefire, but I miss Wicca (Sweep...why can't books all have the same name? ) - Spoiler:
Incy, omg he's freaking insane! Seriously, I'm so scared about what he'll do to get to Nastasya. You won't have to wait too long...the next one comes out in September (I think, or is it october?) The point is, within the next couple of months.

| Balefire is good. Read it like 5yrs ago. I think you can get all 4 books in one volume now. Liked the flashbacks in IB, looking forward to Darkness Falls.
Thanks for the recommendations - I'll check out a Rachel Vincent book.

| Libby, that's the one I have, the omnibus with all four books .
I read a couple of chapters last night. I didn't like the jumping perspectives but I think it finally settled into one person per chapter. Only a few chapters in though. I like the story so far, And of course i adore Cate Tiernan's writing.
