| I voted for Zach too, even though part of me wants all the bribes Cassandra Clare is offering if Jace wins, but I don't really want Jace to win. | |

| Haha thanks. Jeri Smith-Ready bribed her readers with a promise of revealing... erm... what's under Zach's kilt. IF HE WINS. lol That's enough to get me interested. Also I don't really care for TMI and would rather see someone other than Jace win something for a change. Zach's still way behind, and I honestly lost track of how many times I voted for the guy. Ugh. I don't want Jace to win. http://ya-sisterhood.blogspot.com/2011/08/grande-finale-jace-vs-zachary-match-24.html | |

| Zach's holding his own fairly well. I thought Jace was going to blow him out of the water, but he's got a fairly solid fan base (either that or there are others out in the world who also don't want Jace to win everything.) I seem to only be able to handle Jace when he's in the books. The rest of the time he keeps pissing me off (might be because he beat Dimitri and Bones in the Alpha Showdown *huff*) | |

| I used different internet browsers and that seemed to work. Also if you clear your internet cache, that might help.
Jace seriously is infuriating with all the stuff he wins. I don't get what's so great about him. *shrug*

Jace seriously is infuriating with all the stuff he wins. I don't get what's so great about him. *shrug* On the latter bit, if you are regarding combat potential and feats, in particular to Jace, it might be that(in theory) the genetic alterations could allow for him to hold his own against high-tier Aurors and Hit Wizards(Potter-world) or the likes of the children of Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades in one-on-one, even then, that's only in theory. If you're asking other departments on Jace, to be honest, i really don't know. To be honest, if he were up against Harry(Auror-trained Harry, at least!) or Percy of Camp Half-blood, i'd count on one of the two to beat Jace in a fight, actually.

| Hm. I just finished reading Unearthly and I don't know what to think. Actually, I'm a bit confused. The ending... felt too abrupt and didn't really tie anything up. I'm guessing answers will be found in Hallowed... but that won't be out until January. | |

| Not really fallen more like, the angels came down to earth and had kids with human females, those kids are half-angel and if they have kids, then their kids will be a quarter angel. but some of the angels are bad and some are good, but that doesn't affect their kids. It's a confusing plot-line. | |

I finished Unearthly today too. It was pretty good. Different to other angel books I've read because they're part-angels, but look more like real angels (they have wings and special powers and a connection to God) And all part-angels have this mission they're given when they start developing powers. It's like their destiny. It was a pretty cool book.

| Kim: I know that it was her first novel and all but there were too many grammar mistakes and I was confused by the plot. | |

| I didn't spot that many grammar mistakes, but my friend's copy (I borrowed it off her) was a UK copy, they'd changed all the "Mom"s to "Mum"s, so perhaps they got rid of the grammar problems then too. Fair enough, I guess I can see where things might have go confusing. I loved it, so difference of opinions and all that jazz | |

| Is the story in Unearthly creative? All these fallen angels books seem alike to me. I saw it in the shop and it reminded me too much of Fallen by Lauren Kate. | |

| I thought it was pretty creative. Different from other angel books I've read. It's not so much about fallen angels as about part-angels. Angels (all male) sleep with humans and create these half-breads who all have a destiny on earth, a purpose they have to fulfill when they start getting their powers. They have wings, special powers, long life etc. but the character we follow, they're part-human, so they're not actually fallen angels. There *are* fallen angels in the book, but they're evil and so far it doesn't look like they're going to change sides (you know, the fallen angel who is looking to be good again...doesn't look like this series has that story angle) I reviewed the book in a bit more detail (without spoilers...) Both links lead to the same thing, except one's my shared-blog with a friend and the other is my goodreads page ... all depends on which page you'd like to use better. http://twogirlsandanovel.blogspot.com/2011/08/unearthly-cynthia-hand.htmlhttp://www.goodreads.com/review/show/166956907 | |
