i got myself the first two books of blue bloods.. that am planning to read after hourglass... but has anyone read them yet.. are they good... i seen them at the book store for months but they never got my eye... I like the Blue Bloods series. It's kind of slow at first but it gets better with each book imo. Kim, who is Embrace by? It sounds like a good book and I'd like to keep an eye out for it for when it comes out in the US.

| So I'm in the middle of Nightshade. I'm still loving it, though listening to the audiobook rather than reading makes it feel like I'm cheating. I also accidentally came across a spoiler, but it was something I'd already suspected so I wasn't all that surprised. Just disappointed because I wanted to remain in the dark about what happens. Still got about six hours of the book left to listen to. I think Rebecca Lowman will be narrating Wolfsbane as well which is great because I really love her in Nightshade. Shay's a definite cutie and I totally love the guy, but it's really hard to not love Ren as well. | |

Don't tell me he's going to pull a Kiyo!! Also, I don't do "Teams". I'm going to be really mad if I end up hating this book since I paid nearly $30 for this audiobook.

Ugh. I really like him right now so I'm going to be extra mad if he does something to make me hate him. I guess we'll see once I finish this audiobook. But yeah, I definitely do like Ren. Though I honestly think Ansel is my favorite out of the boys.

| I LOVE Ansel! I'm in between on the whole Shay/Ren debate. As for Shay doing something to make you hate him, he doesn't. At least I don't recall him doing anything and he's by far not Kiyo bad. I didn't care for Ren at first, but he grew on me by the end of the book. And I agree, Shay is a little boring and pushy but I think he's pushy cause he doesn't want to see Calla forced into something she doesn't want. At least thats what I tell myself.

That's what I see right now. Shay doesn't want Calla to go through with something she thinks she has no choice in when there's ALWAYS a choice. He just wants her to see that. However, I'm only on ch 17 and I still have a ways to go so who knows how I'll feel about him by the end. I actually don't find him all that boring. He seems pretty laid back and relatively chill. He's even pretty cute when he tries to flirt with Calla. lmao In particular I liked him when they first come across the Searchers outside of the club because he's protective of Calla even though he'd have a snowball's chance in hell protecting her against them. He's a little fiesty. He kinda reminds me of Peeta from HG. Maybe that's why I like him so much. As for Ren... he's just damn hot. I get why Calla's wary of being with him since he's kinda a playboy what with all the girlfriends. But he really seems to care about her and they *would* make a good match if it weren't for Shay. I generally really hate love triangles, but I'm actually enjoying this one. Part of me wants to see her get with Shay and the other part wants to see her stay with Ren. They're both really great guys so it's hard to choose!! Ansel is just soo cute. I love him. He's so protective of his big sister. I love seeing these kinds of sibling dynamics in books. I don't know why, but it seems like YA books don't usually show family things like that so it's really nice. Or they make the main characters hate their siblings. I'm sure some people in real life hate their siblings, but I can't really identify with that because my siblings are like my best friends. I just think it's really nice when I see close sibling relationships in books because I think sometimes in YA books they put too much emphasis on the LOVE relationships and forget about other kinds of relationships, particularly those between family members. But yeah, Ansel is pretty cute. lmao I love the whole thing between him and Bryn. lol

But yeah, Ansel is pretty cute. lmao I love the whole thing between him and Bryn. lol I disagree, I don't think Shay is anything like Peeta. Peeta's awesome, Shay's annoying. I get the whole living your own life thing, and having choices. But the amount of times Calla tells him to back off just doesn't seem to sink in. It pisses me off when the guys force themselves on the situation. At least Ren takes a step back when he's over crowding Calla. I don't think Calla really likes Shay as much as she seems too. He's her rebellion. She can't do anything outside of the norm and suddenly there's a guy telling her to push the limits and she does it without thinking and because she doesn't like losing control of the life she's grown comfortable in. If she'd spent more time with Ren growing up, she probably could have convinced him to not be so playboy-ish and then she wouldn't be so jealous about the freedom he had. I'm not going to say anything else because there's a good chance I'd spoil it then. So yeah, I really don't like Shay.

| I've never listened to an Audiobook, but Ed Westwick does City of Fallen Angels and I'm really tempted to buy the audio version to see what it's like even though I've already preordered the Hardcover. | |

| OMG! Never thought it was possible, but Wolfsbane outshines Nightshade. All i can say is Wolfsbane is darker with several heart wrenching and surprising moments. I'm glad I got to read it 4 months before the release date, but now I am dying for Bloodrose and there's an even longer wait. I'm still in between on guys. They both irritated me for different reasons-1 more than the other but I can't say anything else without spoilers. | |

| Currently reading Morganville #4. Started it last night, much like the other books really quick to get into. Looks like I'll have to go find #5 soon. Wilda, Oh no. I don't want to hate both guys. I'm really worried about which guy annoyed you more than the other. I hope it's not Ren (but at the same time, don't want to know yet...thanks for not spoiling it ) | |

I think that's going to be the hardest part. 4 months is such a long time.
