| So far I like it (I'm only on chapter 3). Though I'm so sad for Mclean and her father. I've actually felt choked up a bit from reading the first two chapters. I just cannot believe this girl's mother. | |

| I almost preordered the UK/Aust copy last night (because it was cheapest) but since I was already buying 9 books I decided I'd wait a bit. | |

| Nailini's Guild Hunter series is SO good. I highly reccommend them Oh and The Lost Saint is even better than TDD imo. I can't wait for The Savage Grace (book 3). Kim, I gotta say I'm not much of a Dmitri fan. I think it's cause of the way he is towards Elena, but I understand that and I believe if he knew about her past and what that bastard Slater did to her, he wouldn't do the whole scent thing to her. I am looking forward to learning more about him and finding out why he is like he is. But 'd prefer to learn about Illium or Aodhan. Or Jason. Ok so like you, all the seven lol. But I'd like to do that through Elena and Raphael. | |

| So I'm about half way done with What Happened To Goodbye. I also watched I Am Number Four today which wasn't a bad movie, and now I'm thinking about finishing that book. Question: Is anyone reading/going to read the Black Dagger Brotherhood series? Or am I the only one? It's got a similar feel to Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series which is why I ask. | |

| I plan on reading BDB sometime. It's at the top of my list, but I want to buy all the books that are released at once so I don't have to wait in between and theres quite a bit of them out : / I bought I am Number Four a couple hours ago. I plan on watching it soon Idk if I'll ever read the book though. For those who have read the book and seen the movie, which do you think is better? | |

| Libby: I love Nalini's Guild Hunter series. Apparently (and I've only heard this through the grapevine) her other series 'Psy Changeling' is even better...But I haven't tried that one yet.
Wilda: I think I originally disliked Dmitri because of his name. I wanted that name to be about *our* Dimitri only...but he grew on me. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what we get from book 4. I've seen the movie and read the book...I liked the movie better. It's the sort of storyline that needs action and the movie did that really well. They changed parts, as most movies do, but it made it better. For Example, Book John comes off sort of weak despite his powers (which he gets the short end of the stick with), where as Movie John is tougher. But, like with all Book-movie adaptations the book explains things better. I also think I liked the movie because 2 main characters are aussies, one of which I was watching in something else this morning. Another book adaptation, but an Aussie book which I loved, and it was made into a TV-series (Cloudstreet by Tim Winton). So I was really excited to see him in that too (It's Callan McAuliff aka. Sam from I am number 4)
Ash: I'm still really jealous you're reading What Happened To Goodbye. I'll probably read BDB some day...since you love it so much.

| I've read about half of I Am Number Four, but there were things I liked about the movie more. Sam, for instance, was my favorite thing about the movie. I found him a little annoying in the book at times. Also, Alex Pettyfer is nice to look at. As for BDB, I bought the first book by itself to see how the series was. I LOVED it and went out and bought the box set of the first six books. Though at the time there were seven books out so I had to go and get #7 once I'd gotten through the first six. You can find the box sets everywhere just about. I bought mine online from Barnes & Noble. Kim: Some day... *dies* | |

| Watched I Am Number Four. It was a kick ass movie. I'm gonna have to read the book cause I want to read The Power of Six when it comes out in August. I hope they continue making the movies. Put a couple of the BDB books on hold at the library | |

| Still reading What Happened To Goodbye. I'm a little disappointed to be honest. There is like zero kissing. lol If you're hoping for romance, don't hold your breath. I flipped ahead, but I'm still hoping it picks up soon because there's only 100 pages left... Anyway, I do think it's neat how Sarah Dessen has little cameo appearances of characters from her other books and how they mostly all take place in the same locations. | |

| Wilda: I'm glad you enjoyed I am Number Four. The book is worth reading, but don't be disappointed when it doesn't match the movie completely. Ash: I never really think of Sarah Dessen novels as very romantic anyway. I mean, I know there are always relationships going on in them, but I only hold out for the main characters getting together at the end | |

| Just finished it a minute ago. It had way less kissing than the other books of hers that I've read. It did pull together in the end though. Overall, it was just alright. | |

| Currently reading Enclave by Ann Aguirre. The blurb on the front says it's for people who liked Hunger Games. *shrug* I guess we'll see... HG sets the standards pretty high. What really made me stop and take a look was that it has zombie freaks in it. lol | |

| I'm around page 90 and I like it so far, but I guess we'll see. I think the writing is a little awkward though because sometimes I get caught in the words. Maybe once we really hit some conflict it won't be as weird. I'm liking the chemistry between Deuce and Fade though. However, I don't like her name. Deuce. It reminds me of Stewie from Family Guy when he says "What the deuce?" Also... erm nowadays some people use "deuce" as a verb for... potty. lmao But I'm trying not to think about that. lol | |

| Seriously, "deuce" means going to the toilet? I read that and think of a tennis game, you know when people are tied it's called "Deuce". As a kid I always thought they were saying "juice"...it didn't make sense in the context of tennis, but I went with it anyway.
I'm trying really hard to get through 'Birthmarked' but its a really bad book...I'm having trouble. I think I'll reread VA after I enventually finish it. I need to read a really good book.

| ooh Enclave is on my tbr I finally read Dark Descendant. I really liked it, but there wasn't a lot of romance in it. I think the second book we'll see something blossom although it's not who I was hoping it'd be : / Gonna read Raised by Wolves while waiting for the Night Huntress series to come in at the library | |

| LOL... about the deuce thing. Cause around my neck of the wood we use it to correspond to poop. When someone gotta poop we say " drop a deuce" and so we use it as an insult too.. u deuce .. kind of like instead of calling them a douche we cal em a deuce. It's soo funny to me. Kim! I finished reading Dead Reckoning yesterday. I actually liked it alot. SPOILER time - Spoiler:
I LOVE Claude! I dont know why. But his asshole-ness i love. I think he really does care for Sookie. And I was upset when Sookie kicked him out. I think it's just cultural difference. Like Fin tan posing as Mitchel. That fairy sense of humor we humans dont get lol. That translated well in the story imo.
I LOVE Dermot too. He makes me smile.
But i absolutely love Mr. Cataliades. I've always like him. I kind of hope Sookie will use the love token thingy ( i cant spell it and i'm far too lazy to fetch my book and look it up lol) to help him rid of his enemies.
I'm glad we finally have answers about what and where sookie got her powers.
I'm so PISSED at Eric. But i dont want Sookie and him to break up. I defiantly dont want Bill and Sookie to get back together.
I was SO pissed Pam didn't get to turn Miriam and she died. So not fair. I love Pam. She is one of my favorite vamps. bah.
I'm happy Victor finally died. And i laughed when they throw Sandra Pelt into the portal. I was SO annoyed by her and happy she finally is out the way.
I was upset the book ended though. It was like SO much happened, it escalated and there was no bring down. I guess it has to end with a little open ended-ness, leave room for the story to be taken up in the next book.

I'm wary of Claude still. He's got something going on, but I'm just not sure if it's good or bad yet. I wonder if he's holding a grudge against the world because his siblings keep being killed and he wasn't allowed back into fairy. He's building a fey army of sorts in his club and we just don't have enough information to find out what's going on yet. Yep, Dermot's awesome. He can stay as long as he likes I don't know what to think about the faerie love thing (I don't remember how it's spelt either) Sookie annoyed me trying to think up something to use it on actually. She should be using it on herself, and yet everything she was thinking of was for someone else. I know she likes to help others, but sometimes you have to be selfish, especially when you've got a fancy wish making thing. I felt more sad for Eric than pissed at him. It's not his fault his marker was trying to split them up. AND he was trying so hard to keep him and sookie together. I was pissed at sookie for just jumping at the chance to get rid of the bond. It was the only real thing stopping him from having to marry the queen of oklahoma. I mean, sure he's technically "married" to Sookie, but since a marriage can be broken he was safe from going with Queen O because of the bond "You can't break a blood bond" ... except, well now they have. I think I'll be SUPER mad if it means Bill and Sookie end up together again. I never liked them together and I really don't like Bill. I'll admit the scene in his sleeping hole was pretty funny, but not funny enough for them to be together. It's Eric and Sookie or nothing!

| So, I finished Enclave today. I actually really liked most of it, but it almost felt like half a book, like I was reading the outline and things still needed to be filled in. There's also this thing with The Day Boy and The Night Girl that could've been explained or explored more since it's meant to parallel the two main characters... but that attempt was pretty weak. And then the ending just sort of cuts off (I guess in order for there to be a series). By the end of the book, you don't really learn anything about how the world came to be the way it is. And I think there's also a love triangle in the works that would've been part of book 1 had it had a real ending. So that's probably going to be saved for book 2. I'll still read the next one, but I thought it was kind of annoying to cheat the reader out of a satisfying ending in order to make a series. Now... I can't decide whether to read Moonglass or Divergent next. | |
