I've been there Kim, so I know exactly what you're going through. It's been 2.5 years since my cat passed away and when I think about him i still tear up and sometimes i flat out bawl. But it will get easier after a while. HUGS

My poor puppy woke up sick today I teared up and went to the bedroom (tearing up now). I know at 2 weeks if thye get sick its likely she won't make it. She wouldn't eat at all and she kept wimpering which jsut broke my heart. But i finally got her to eat a little bit ago. She still doesnt feel good but I know the odds are still not good but I'm Praying and hoping she'll pull through. That was my worry from the beginning and now I'm attached and in full blown Mommy mode. I've been through this before but with newborn kittens and it never gets easier

I'm so sorry for you Wilda. I don't want anyone else to have animal troubles this week. I hope your puppy gets better soon.

I am SO homesick today. I'm just super emotional and tired and its all just catching up to me. I never thought I would miss FL so much but it's home ya' know? Even fi I hate it at times lol I'll feel better after a good night sleep, I just don't know when I'll get that

Ash: I'm better-ish. It's still hard, but I've been trying to keep busy. I went into the backyard for the first time this morning. My mum and I were heading out and we always check to make sure the downstairs door is locked, and I couldn't stop my eyes from wandering to places I'd normally see her. But Dad bought me my graduation present yesterday (a new dvd player) so I'm going to set that up later and watch the new Narnia movie (Dawn Treader) because it was released on DVD today so I'll get to watch Ben Barnes in a wet t-shirt, so that'll make me happy

Aww... do you ever think one day you guys will get another dog? I mean, not to replace Wattle or anything like that because that would be like trying to replace a sibling. But that empty backyard... every backyard should have a dog.

I just got the 3DS (Nintendo 3D gameboy type thing for those who don't know) over the weekend and been having a hella fun time with it!! lol Go watch your movie. Yeah, we've always said we'd get another dog, but none of us can think about that right now for exactly the reasons you mentioned. We don't want it to seem like she's being replaced. I don't think we'll be getting another dog for some time.

lol, my uni friend really wants a 3DS, she was obsessing about it when she was staying with me. Yeah, each to their own. Ben Barnes is awesome I'm burning a couple of his other movies for another friend later today...in 4 months I've gone from having 1 ben movie to having 5 :p I'm totally going to have a Ben marathon soon.

Yeah, definitely don't want to seem like you're replacing her. Wouldn't want to bring in another pet for the wrong reasons. When you do eventually get another dog though, that'll be really nice. Any breeds in particular?

The 3DS is soo cool. It's really something you have to experience first hand because the 3D doesn't show up on video. It just sucks that there aren't any good games coming out for a while. Mostly I'm waiting for Mario Kart and Zelda, but they won't release until summer. *booh* I was thinking about taking it to school with me tomorrow... but I'm afraid all of the kids will crowd and try to grab it. Hell, they were grabbing my DSLite out of my hands when I brought it, even though most of them have the newer DSi XL. But I really wanted to show one of my 5th graders the 3DS because we sometimes chat about pokemon and he was trying to help me last week. lol He thinks its funny that I play pokemon because I'm an adult... lol

We like terriers (Australian silky terriers), because they're fiesty :p Our dog was a Pomeranian X aussie terrier...and she thought she could take on the world and win...haha. She did actually scare a few MASSIVE dogs away and we love her all the more for it. So we'd be looking for another Terrier cross. (because cross breeds often live longer...something about the mixed genes)

maybe you should wait a couple of weeks before taking your 3DS to school...it's brand new, right? you might want to use it a bit more before the kids take over Don't the kids realise as an "adult" you grew up with the original pokemon?

We don't have any mixes. lol I think we mostly just take in whatever is cute at the time. It's always a mistake though. lmao Why is it that little dogs like to try to take on big dogs? Snafu (his real name is Teddy, we just call him that) would totally be our neighbor dog's snack. He's a yorkie and occasionally escapes into the neighbors' yards. He's a little escape artist. We also call him "special ops".

lmao I don't think the kids realize, no!! When the Zelda game comes out they're probably all going to think it's a "new" game even though it's really only being ported over because it came out more than a decade ago on the Nintendo 64. I freaking grew up on these games and these kids all find it amazing that I play the "new" ones.

Lol, I never had a N-64...but I know the games were always around. It's pretty funny how they've survived over the years.

lmao They keep getting remade because they're so awesome!! Seriously, like they've remade Super Smash and Mario Kart how many times now? And Zelda's survived the 80s/90s and is resurfacing into the 20-teens. It's awesome. They're even bringing back Mortal Kombat!! Yeah I'm totally a video game nerd.

I never thought that 1 day without Adobe reader would bug me so much.
Installed an update last night and it messed everything up. Couldn't open any pdfs.
Tried re downloading and it would work. Spent a half hour researching how to fix this prob and another half hour fixing it.
Lost 1.5 hrs today.
Just needed to rant.

Having an alright week but so behind on studying for my test on Friday.

I just wanted to share, I'm fighting back tears right now.... happy tears. I'm so proud of the hubby. We were waiting in his doc's office, his surgeon, and and elder lady and her husband and daughter came in and they were terrified. My hubby spoke to them for a while, reassuring them , sharing his story and experience and explaining what it's been like and what it is like. They were SOOO happy and relieved and appreciative it warmed my heart.

I graduated this morning! It was pretty cool. I was nervous about walking across the stage, but everything went fine.

Now I'm remembering when my younger brother graduated. I didn't actually get to go because I'd have had to fly across the country, so only my parents went. But since it's a school where the majority is international students, they webcasted the actual graduation. My siblings and I gathered in front of the computer and waited forever for the graduates to appear online. However, we didn't actually get to see my brother graduate because apparently he walked across the stage just as our internet got cut off. My siblings and I were all very disappointed. lol My mom had her video camera to document the achievement, but all she got video of was the ceiling because she was so happy she wasn't paying attention.

The area in FL that got hit bad was where my family and friends are. My best friend texted me about it yesterday afternoon and then it took forever to get a hold of my mom. I was srsly freaking out. But finally she called me back and everyone was ok. My sister had a scare though. She was reading in her car during her lunch break and one went right over here. Needless to say she packed her stuff up and went back to work lol. I hear one was in my area too but my hubby called a neighbor and he said our neighborhood was fine. We were worried we'd go home and find no home but thankfully everything and everyone is ok. It was a fear of mine that something terrible would happen while I'm away. We're all used to Hurricanes not tornados lol

We're leaving Arkansas tonight to go home. I can't wait to climb into my bed tomorrow.

Oh update on puppy: She's a lot better now. She's eating more and she's starting to walk around. She's still weak, but she's getting stronger

I"m soooo emotional today. And tired. I just dont got energy left in me. I'm half way through a work out. Gotta do the other half. Did half of my chores and house keeping and stuff so i can clear up some free time for tomorrow. I plan on sleeping past 530 am and not getting out of bed until i feel well rested. Then my friend is coming by for a visit.
