Wilda: The movie was fantastic. A little different from the book, but mainly because it left out a few scenes...nothing major being left out or anything. I was worried I'd worked myself up over the movie because I loved the book so much, but no the excitement was worth it, I definitely wasn't disappointed. It was so good. I saw it with my sister and friend, both of which haven't read the book, and they enjoyed it too...it wasn't like some movies-based-on-books were you miss things if you haven't read the book, but I do think I was more excited because I knew what was going to happen next. I loved it more because there were a couple of aussies in it and one got to keep her aussie accent, so I had a good giggle about that one Hehe glad to hear it was good from someone who has read the book!! I still haven't finished it yet and at this rate I doubt I ever will. I also have no clue when I'll see the movie. I still plan to eventually. Btw, I love Teresa Palmer. She's going to be in this new movie called Take Me Home Tonight (it's set in the 80s) with Topher Grace and... some other people who's names I can't remember. lol It looks like it might be a fun movie. Gah. I feel so sad right now. I don't know how big this news story has been nationally, but last week here in Houston there was a daycare fire and a lot of the babies were burned. Four of them died. It's just so tragic. And to make matters worse, the woman responsible for the fire has fled the country. It just makes me sick. What sane person would leave seven toddlers alone while they went out to buy groceries? She has devastated so many families with her negligence.

| OMG Ash thats horrible! I haven't heard anything about it. How can people be so careless? UGH that just makes me SO angry. Those poor families. I can't imagine going through that. Kim, I'm glad the movie lived up to your expectations. I really want to see it but I doubt I will until it comes out on dvd. None of my friends nor my hubby are interested in those kind of movies | |

| I just can't believe some people. These parents trusted their children with her and she just left them. From what the news articles say, she left a pot of oil on the stove and when she returned from buying groceries the house was on fire and basically impenetrable from the smoke. And now she's fled to Nigeria. What a coward. Can't even take responsibility for all the pain she's caused.
Gah. I just cannot believe how she could leave these babies alone even for a moment. I can barely stand watching my 4 year old niece go down the stairs by herself because I'm afraid she'll get hurt.

Nevermind that she broke the law by having too many at one time. It just boggles my mind that she could actually LEAVE the premises while they were in her care. You do not leave ONE child at home alone let alone SEVEN. I freak out whenever my niece is out of sight for too long or if she's been too quiet, and this is with a house-full of adults around. And whenever I babysit her, I always know where she is and give her instructions on what not to do while I'm busy if I have to leave the room for a moment. But these babies were so helpless. I think all were under the age of 3. There was nothing they could have done to save themselves. It's just so sad because this tragedy was totally preventable.

Agreed. One of the worst stories I've heard this year (local news) was of a pizza delivery guy (I think he was in his 20s?) who crashed his car into a lake due to an asthma attack. People in the neighborhood saw it happen, saw the car submerged but wouldn't go into the water to help him. They all stood around like idiots watching and maybe a couple dialed 911. His co-worker who was delivering in the neighborhood recognized the car and swam in and rescued him before EMS came. Unfortunately the man died later that week because of complications from drowning. I get that the weather here has been bad this winter and the water must have been cold and that some people might not have been able to swim, but come on people!! That poor man was drowning. For real. People these days are just complete sh*theads. I think I need to lay off on watching the news for a while.

| I've seen and heard similar stories. Parents leaving little kids alone to get a fix of P, heroin or whatever else.
If you want a feel good story. Catch some coverage of the Christchurch earthquake. People risking their lives for stangers. Very feel good although its about a tragedy.
First week back in full time study at uni. So busy busy busy.
The courier company F'ed up my order of Afterlife, so I'm annoyed. Hope I get to tomorrow.

| Libby, Ugh, I hate when courier companies screw up. It's sucky. Ash, that's a horrible story, both of them. If you see someone crash their car you try and help, and you certainly don't leave little children unattended...that's just horrible. Wilda, Congrats on winning the Wolfsbane twitter comp! I'm jealous, but at the same time I'm not too upset because I couldn't think of anything to tweet, so I didn't even enter. Been helping my friend look for rooms to rent. So far we've seen two dud places. One had friendly people, but a really small room and was overpriced. The other had a nice room, good price, but a creepy guy renting the place. So we're going to keep looking. For now I just hope I don't hit her in my sleep again (accidentally rolled over last night and hit my friend in the face, in my defence she'd taken up 3/4 of the bed, but luckily there was no damage, I'm not a good hitter anyway ) Hope everyone's doing well. | |

Hope everyone's doing well. lmao My sister sleeps like a friggin juggernaught*. She takes up all the bed and kicks you all night long. When you wake up (if you've been able to sleep at all) she's basically on top of you. Gah. This is why I refuse to ever share a bed with her without at least a seven pillow barrier in between us. Even then she'll wake up on top of that. *Jug·ger·naut [juhg-er-nawt, -not] –noun 1. any terrible force, esp one that destroys or that demands complete self-sacrifice Anyway, Kim. I hope the apartment hunting goes well.

| Thanks Kim! I just got up an hour ago and as I was walking my daughter to the bus stop, I saw your tweet followed by other congrats and when I came across Andrea's saying I won I actually squealed! I had everyone looking at me like I had lost my mind lol BEST. WAY. TO. START. MY. DAY. EVER! I'm usually a peaceful sleeper however if I dream i'm fighting or anything along those lines, I'm actualyl fighting in bed. I woke up with a friend in the floor one time and she had a huge bruise on her leg from me kicking her Luckily that doesn't happen often. I had a horrible night last night. Yesterday was all around rough cause I had a stupid stomach virus that seems to be going around. On top of that I had a terrible headache. I went to bed at 8pm and was asleep by 8:30 while my hubby was talking to me He then woke me up and kept aggravating me afterwards. I actually got a bit physical (not enough to hurt him-he thought it was hilarious). I was extremely cranky plus I didn't feel good. I felt like my head was going to explode. He finally left me alone at 10:30 But then I tossed and turned all night. My headache is much better but it's still there. On a good note, we got my AC fixed yesterday evening so my house is nice and cool It actually got cold enough in here last night that I finally got to wear my VA hoodie | |

| I'm a tosser when I sleep. i toss and turn but when i'm sharing the bed i stay on my little piece of the bed. So maybe a little shaking from the movement but for the most part I'm okay to share the bed with.... sharing the blanket is a totally different story. It only works out with my hubby and I cause he rarely uses a cover. In the summer time- almost never. In the winter time only in the morning with the morning chill he'll use a blanket. So most of the night the blanket is alllll mine lol But my ex-best friend was scary to share a bed with. One time we were sleeping over a friends house and we were sharing a bed. i wake up to roll over and she is staring at me so automatically i'm like WTH and then she grabs this scooby doo pillow I was hugging, elbows me in the process and rolls over. I"m left there like what in the world. In the morning she had no recollection of it but i had a bruise as proof it really happened lol. And Congrats on winning Wilda! | |

| Wilda, what did you win? I think I'm not entirely a horrible sleeper to share a bed with. I don't normally move around much (just from my stomach to my back) but I do sometimes hog the covers. Also when I'm tired I can be unpleasant. | |

| Thanks. I love Nightshade. It definitely made my top 10 for YA series. I love how different it is and how Andrea Cremer puts her own twists into the whole werewolf world. Nightshade is what inspired me to finally start writing | |

VA definitely had that effect on me. I think I had always wanted to tell stories but never was encouraged in school to write creatively. After reading VA all I want to do is write. And I'm not talking about fanfic (though I do that too). Now I want to write my own stories.
