| I haven't tried my hand at writing fanfic. I'm not much of a fan reading it although some are damn good. I've been working on my own story since December. I haven't wrote any in about a month though. It's been driving me crazy too. I need to find the time to write. A few new ideas popped into my head last night while trying to go to sleep and they are dying to get out lol. | |

| Ordinarily I'm a pretty gentle sleeper. I managed to not attack my friend last night, so it must have been a one off thing. Wilda, I know! It's pretty damn exciting when you win something, especially a book you've been wanting/waiting for. It's always fun. At least you don't have to wait until July for Wolfsbane now I always love the idea of writing, but can never make the words come out. | |

| About the whole writing thing- I used to love writing but never thought I was good at it ...until high school and my teachers told me I was stupid for thinking I wasn't a good writer. SLowly but surely I gained confidence in writing poetry and essay writing. And throughout college i was confident in my writing abilities. I always wanted to venture into story writing but I don't think that's my area, i dont have the patience but I always wanted to try. BUt i have wrote anything- blog entries/journal-ing included- in MONTHS. It makes me sad. My friend ( who was in my supportive writing group in college) keeps emailing me and encouraging me and asking me if i wrote anything i gots nothings :-( | |

| Ahh I'm so tired today. I spent a couple hours at the school grading papers, giving spelling tests and (accidentally) hitting kids with volleyballs. | |

| So today I took the hubby to the neuro- oncologists. I was prepared for bad news, but not the horrific news we received today. The oncologists told us his tumor is stage 3. She said stage 1 is the lowest stage and stage 4 the worst stage, stage 4 is terminal. She said because of his young age ( 24) and overall good health besides this, he'll respond well to treatment. But the treatment is intensive. Radiation monday - friday and Chemo everyday for six months. She said doing this treatment will halt a recurrence for now but in the future it still something we have to look out for because his type of tumor is aggressive. She also told us he may still have seizures because he has a cavity where the tumor was and scar tissue and the damage is done. But their is a slight possibility he may not have seizures ever again.
His neuro surgeon was so optimistic and though he did say it wasn't benign he said isn't wasn't high grade either. So i felt blind sided by this news too. I love his surgeon. But he seriously needs to go to school for people skills and talking English and non medical jargon or something. Nothing can really prepare you for news this heavy but still i rather have been left in the dark then to be caught of guard like this.
I'm not even sad anymore. I'm just angry. So very angry.

| Tasha: *hugs* I'm so sorry you had to find that out. I hate the idea of surgeons or doctors not having the right information. I know finding out bad news is never easy, but isn't it better telling the patient and their family the whole information rather than sugarcoat it to make them feel better? I can't imagine how you're feeling Tasha, having never gone through something like that myself, and while we've all said this many times before, we're here for you when you need to talk/vent. *hugs*
Ash: LOL! I think you're just supposed to yell at people when you don't like them, not attack them with volleyballs. But I like your technique.
Had my second day of editing and publishing today. Pretty fun! We learnt the process manuscripts go through when given to editors and publishers. And then discussed an author's contract with the publishing company, like what rights the publisher will then have over the book and the money (aka. Advance payment and royalties) that an author gets....there was a bit more, but that was the main stuff. And the only good looking guy in my class (out of two guys), who looks like a cross between Patrick Dempsy and Hugh Jackman "formally introduced" himself to my friend and I. (that was his words...formally introduced...not mine). It was pretty cool.

| Oh Tasha, I am so sorry. I agree with Kim, doctors need to tell you the whole truth instead of sugarcoating it. That only makes it worse. They should never give someone false hope. I can only imagine what you are going through. Actually I can't only someone who has gone through it themself can fully understand it. But like Kim said, we're all here for you and sending lots of love and support! HUGS! LOL Ash. That had to of been fun Kim, when you said that guy was "a cross between Patrick Dempsy and Hugh Jackman" I said ooOoo sounds hot lol. I think it's funny he "formall introduced" himself which only adds to the hotness imo. Your class sounds like so much fun! Makes me want to go into the publishing world. It's never crossed my mind before but now I'm seriously thinking about it. My daughter had her First Grade Performance last night. Back in January they did projects about animals and their habitats. Each class had a different habitat and each kid had a different animal from that habitat. Isabelle's class was the Wetlands and she had the softshell turtle. So last night they performed songs about their habitats and read a few lines about their animal. It was super cute! The kids were adorable and it was such a great night. At the end the kids surrounded the parents and they put up a video on the projector and had the audience dance with them. From where I was sitting I didn't get to see my daughter do it, btu I did she her 8 month pregnant teacher dancing. LOL it was a sight to see. But yeah like I said the kids were adorable and it was funny watching all the parents get into that dance. My hubby didn't get to see it cause my son started misbehaving while the other classes were performing. He wanted his Belle lol Blah the hubby is working out of town all weekend. I had to get up and get the kids up at 5am to take him to work so I'd have the car (he rides with his boss). Tomorrow my mom is coming to babysit while I have a Girly Day Out with one of my best friends. Lunch and mani/pedis | |

| Thank you so much everyone. We're all not that much emotional today. Last night my brother , my cousin the hubby and I were hanging out and we ended up drinking. Well of course not the hubby and my brother has a condition he isn't allowed to drink liquor either. So i should say my cousin and I were drinking. And we were drinking hard. But at the time i didn't feel tipsy/drunk or anything. But i woke up today and feel SO dehydrated i need Gatorade or something with electrolytes but i dont have anything so water it is. Being so dehydrated is giving me a wicked headed. But anyway, yeah we were all hanging out and talking about EVERYTHING, past traumas. We all just dished out histories and emotions. The hubby had so much fun. Even though we had a situation last night. My best friend her moms been ill in the hospital. Her sister who lives out of state, came up to see them and now the hospital wants to release her mom but to a rehabilitation place. Her mother said she doesn't want to go, she just wants to go home. So the sister got the mother discharged but basically is stealing the mother and is taking her back to boston, out of state. My friend is left with the rent unpaid, the landlord saying he is going to put the eviction notice and other bills unpaid in the house. She doesn't work , she goes to school. And she has no family or friends that can financially help her. To make it worse the mother tried to write a check to pay the rent but the sister took the check and left. So messed up. So today, my cousin and my hubby and I are going to have a intervention sort of thing to try to help her out in any way we can. But even with that situation, just the hanging out with everyone and the talking he had such a good time. He was real upset about all this and even moreso because his bday is Saturday. But, By the end of the night he said he forgot her had cancer and went to sleep with a smile on his face.
I honestly dont know what I would do without y'all. U guys give me so much strength to stay positive and determined. HUGS.

| sorry for the double post but just wanted to respond to everyone
Ash- personally I love your techniques as Kim call its.
Kim- I totally agree with Wilda about the class and the hot guy. I am also intrigued about the publishing world now. I briefly looked into being a book agent but that is far too much "social engaging" and not enough reading for my taste. But publishing seems a little more interesting. I think when i have some free time I''ll look for classes locally around me.
Wilda, hope u enjoy the girls day. I'm dying for one. My bf said when he closes his bank account ( he wants to switch banks) he will give me $ to get a haircut and I should call terri my besties and make a "girl thing", as he calls it, out of it...lol
And and Christy I haven't seen you around and posting in a while so welcome back!

| Awe I'm glad he got to have a night where all the medical stuff just went away and he got to have a good time. You guys deserve to escape it. Sorry about your friend's situation. That is a really sucky thing of her aunt. I can't imagine having that happen. I'd have to beat an Aunt down! jk lol I hope her situation improves. And I'm really happy we're helping you through it. Its easier to come here than to go to your friends or family. At least that's how I feel. HUGS!
HI Christy! Sorry you were ill. Hope you are feeling better!

| Oh my. Sounds like a serious allergic reaction Brissa. Hope it clears up soon and that you are okay.
I personally have never had Chicken Pox. I pray that the vaccines work and my kids never get ti cause if they do, then I'm in for a rough time. I hear it's worse as an adult.

| Wilda: I know! He really does look hot...and I was surprised about the whole formally introducing thing. It was nice :p Tasha: I'm sorry you're friend is going through such a hard time. That's terrible. I hope everything works out for her soon. We keep being told of ways to get a foot in the publishing industry, one of which is offerring your services as a manuscript reader, which actually sounds fabulous. Because publishing houses get SO MANY manuscripts a month, they need to hire people to help sort through them: read and review so the editors can work out which works should be published. Reading Brissa: You poor thing! I don't remember my time with the chicken pox. I had it as a baby. My older sister and I had a mild case, my my twin was super sick. So I know it can be tough. I hope you feel better soon. | |

| So i was terribly sick yesterday. It wasn't a hangover though. I woke up at my usual time 9amish and was a little icky from the drinking but was fine. But later a migraine decided to set up residence in my head and would no go away no matter what i took. I ended up being stuck in bed cause movement hurt too much and finally just fell asleep for a nap. When i woke up , the migraine dulled to a light headache- like the headache you get from wearing a hat all day or bobby pins or head bands or too-tight pony tail. So it was easy to ignore while i went to the store. I bought the bf some doughnuts cause he doesn't really like cake for his bday which is today. But all that activity after being in bed made me SO tired and then being tired made the headache come back. It was so annoying and frustrating so i just went back to sleep. BUt i was tossing and turning all night cause of the pain.
I finally was having a peaceful sleep then at 6am i hear what sounds like mice in the walls, scratching and stuff. So the girl in me was terrified and i was just imagining horrible mice scenes and the noise was so loud I couldn't sleep. So i woke up and googled what to do and apparently there isn't much especially when there is no obvious signs of entry or exit ( no holes). But when i goggled, no lie one article suggested getting a cat that was declawed as a solution. lmao
