About to start, "Embrace" by Jessica Shrivington. I've had this book on my to-be-read list for months, and just haven't got around to reading it yet. A friend let me borrow her copy today, so I have to get it back to her soon. Maybe it'll make me want to buy my own copy now. I am still jealous that you got to read it already and know how it ends. Only 4 days til it comes out here though. Was it a good ending though?

| Wilda: I did like the ending. It wasn't exactly how I wanted it to end, but it was a really sweet end.
Tasha: lol, You had the right first letter. I got a bookstore catalogue the other day, it said we're getting the next one on the 28th of April...so I'm just going to start searching for it then.
LOVING 'Embrace'. As far as I know it's not out in the US yet (it's written by an Aussie author) But seriously good book about half-angels. Haven't finished it yet, but already know the rest will be fabulous.

| Thorn Queen and Darkness Becomes Her. I've never read more than one book at a time so we'll see how this works out. | |

| I can read two books at once depending on why I'm reading them. Like, if I have a book to read for uni, I might read some of it and then move onto a fun book after a while, and then switch between the two. | |

| Just finished 'Embrace' I think I found my new book obsession for the next couple of weeks. The second book gets released here in like 2 weeks, so I'm SUPER excited. The book was fabulous. Both guys were addictive, it's hard to hate one over the other because they were both really interesting and lovable. My biggest problem with the book was that there wasn't a clear setting. I gather it's set somewhere in Australia, because the author is australian and they mentioned some fancy school that'ed mean travelling far (to New York)...but it annoyed my slightly that there wasn't a way to ground the story in reality. Usually books have a town, or a city, or even a state that the characters are placing themselves in...it could have been a made-up place for all I cared, but it would have been nice to know. There was just a lot of "going to the city" and "the park down the road" or "the warehouse around the corner" ... which doesn't give you a lot to go on.
Anyway, other than that, fabulous book. And I just discovered that the author (Jessica Shirvington) is married to an aussie althlete that I've met before! (Matt Shirvington) I thought that was pretty cool.

I picked it up Embrace but it reminded me too much of Fallen n hush hush (both were disappointments) so I didnt buy Embrace or add it to my reserve list at the library. You make is sound way better. is it?

| Darkness Becomes Her by Kelly Keaton is Mindblowing! It's a really good book and gives a fresh twist to everything supernaturla and paranormal. I highly reccommend it. The only thing that irritated me was the fact that the relationship formed a bit too fast but other than that an excellent read!

I haven't read Fallen (even though a friend gave me her copy, I haven't been tempted to pick it up) But I thought Embrace was MUCH better than Hush Hush. I loved the two guys in it, you can't help but love them both, even though you know it's not possible for the girl to end up with them both in the end. I do like Hush Hush, but it was never a series I was obsessed about. When Crescendo came out I sort of just shrugged it off and got it a few weeks later. I'm DEFINITELY going to be in the bookstore (or Big W at least) on March 22 when Embrace's sequel comes out. It was well written, fun...I guess not 100% original, because fallen angels/half angels/being messed up with angels isn't exactly brand new anymore. But I really loved it. Wilda: I have no added Darkness Becomes Her to my to-be-read list. I might buy it as an ebook in a couple of days if I run out of new books again. Currently reading Morganville #2 (The Dead Girls Dance), really enjoying it. Wish I had enough money to buy the rest of the series now, but I'll get there eventually.

| Kim the morganville vampire series? I've been wanting to read them too but haven't had money to buy them but i'm saving to buy the volumes. They released volume one and volume two on amazon and each volume is a double feature( two books) and the third volume is being released soon. It's cheaper than buying the series individually. Maybe you can find it online or something... | |

| Yeah, It might be cheaper. I can get them for $11 each over here, so it's not like they're super expensive. But with 9 books out that's still $99, I have 2 books so far, so it'd only be $77, but that still seems like a lot. I know it'll work out to be the same price over a long period of time, but it always makes me feel better if I'm buying lots of books over a longer distance. ------- http://vampireacademy.heavenforum.org/viewtopic.forum?t=1027 | |
