I don't know what I'm reading yet. Anything to get the bad taste of Iron Crowned out of my head.

geez is it that bad? I noticed on Twitter that Kim was irritated with it lol. I still haven't read Thorn Queen yet so I'm a ways off from Iron Crowned even though it came in the mail on Saturday...It's SO tempting to scan through it...

I won't tell you why IC was so disappointing for obvious reasons lol, but I really hope you enjoy Thorn Queen. It is honestly one of my favorite books ever (despite the bit that I think you already know about). Don't let what other people are saying about IC ruin TQ for you. Very Happy

yay ya'll I finally made it to reading Awakened. I'm not done yet but almost. Got like 50 or 60 pages left to read. I'm more excited about accomplishing the whole re-read the series thing then actually reading the book...lol. bounce

But then i realized the new Sookie Stackhouse book comes out March 3rd and to re-read that series ( 10 books) is going to be equally if not harder than re-reading HON. I dont know why i'm insisting on re-reading a whole series before the new book. But it just doesn't feel right if I don't. :Shrug: At least reading is reading.

Oh! The new sookie's out so soon? Cool...I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

Currently reading 'Afterlife' by Claudia Gray. Can't believe Evernight's coming to an end.

Wilda- I'm not sure. Lol. i kind of enjoy it but at the same time i kind of don't. I guess I have to finish it to develop an opinion. I'm enjoying reading it though- just idk yet. lol.

Kim- yeah i was surprised too. I was looking up books on Amazon and it popped up in "others who purchased this ultimately purchased this" and i was like OMG it's out. But it's not out yet but amazon says I can pre-order it and it will be released May 3rd. Im not going to question it, i thought the book wouldn't be released to the end of the year.

The third season of True Blood comes out on DVD in May too (over here at least) ... looks like it's going to be a Sookie month Razz

Finished Darkest Mercy earlier. All I will say is that I am satisfied with the ending.

Gonna start Thorn Queen tomorrow so I can read Iron Crowned. Am dying not knowing why everyone is disappointed with it.

Rhia- yes I've been a fan ....not since the start of the book series..... but for a few months before season one of the HBO show true blood started i started reading the book series. Then I watched the airing of season one and followed the tv series religiously. And the book releases too. I love both the show and the books even though both are SOOO different. But imo, its just more True Blood awesome-ness to go around. I love love them both so much. It's my second favorite. VA being the first of course.

Rhia & Tasha: Yeah, I'm a true blood fan, but it took a while to get into it. I watched the first 4 episodes before reading the books and hated it, then I read the books and tried the tv show again and LOVED it. I'm a big Eric fan Razz

But who doesn't love Eric?

bk 4 is my fave because of all the Eric Razz

It's not like Iron Crowned is written bad, it's written just like every other RM novel...it's just a bit shocking (don't want to say anymore than that.)

Yeah, I'm halfway through Afterlife at the moment. I'm really enjoying it. I forgot fun this series. It's never been my fave vampire series, but it's so simple that you can't help but love it.

I haven't read Iron Crowned yet but I've heard nothing but disappointments about what happens not the writing. As Richelle couldn't write a bad book if she wanted to.

Afterlife doesn't come out in the US until March 8th.

I didn't have the chance to read yesterday but today.. I finally finished reading Awakened.

Wilda you asked me how i like- and without spoilers or anything... i got way into the ending. the first portion of the book i was impatient and bored slightly. Then the middle I was like OKAY things are gunna get interesting. And then some interesting stuff happens. Then it's over. Now i'm like wait hold on what happened? Lol. I know that sounds confusing. But that's how i feel and the best way to explain it without spoilers. I liked it though, oddly enough but at the same time I'm getting annoyed with the series. It's making me feel quite bipolar actually.

I'm going to re-read the Sookie Stackhouse series now. Cause the new book comes out tomorrow. It'll be a while before i can actually buy it. But i should be finished re-reading all ten books by the time....

Just finished Afterlife. Still can't believe the Evernight series is over. I loved the book. The ending was a little odd, but it didn't ruin the story.

About to start, "Embrace" by Jessica Shrivington. I've had this book on my to-be-read list for months, and just haven't got around to reading it yet. A friend let me borrow her copy today, so I have to get it back to her soon. Maybe it'll make me want to buy my own copy now.
