Demon Trappers spoilers:
- Spoiler:
So it was sort of obvious that Paul was going to be reanimated by the end of the novel, and it's also obvious that Creepy necro guy did it. Who else would play to the fears of the volunteer minding the place? I'm sort of sad that Riley's so attached to Simon. I mean, he's a great guy, but when you've got Beck and Ori waiting around it's hard to focus on Simon. He just doesn't live up to it. I'd been waiting for ages for Ori to turn up...the blurb at the back of the book made it sound like he was going to be swooping in to save her more often, but he only did it a couple of times. I'm torn between Ori and Beck though. I think Beck is awesome, so I probably like him more, but still, Ori is an interesting one. I'm really curious to find out why all the Demons seemed to know Riley's name. I get that her family seems to have a strong hunting tradition, but there has to be something more, especially if they've always known her name. I guess maybe it's to do with the angel thing, that she'll somehow stop the apocalypse from happening so they don't really want her making deals with the angels...too late now. I'm glad Riley saved Simon, but I'm not sure she'll be too happy about being a pawn the in angel's game of chess. Can't wait for the next one to see what happens next!
Also, I found an aussie ebook site that had Retro Demonology. So I can read the short story too. Got a little excited when I found it
Going to start Anna and the French Kiss now. - Spoiler:
I agree. There is much more to the demons knowing her name. Her father freaked out when that demon started talking about her right before he died. I've talked to Jana, theres no set date, but she said it looks like Book 2 Soul Thief (in the US) will be released in the US in August I believe.
I love Beck, but I also love how sweet Simon is. Here's not exactly your typical main guy and i like that but I also like Ori. I can't wait to get to know him more in the next book (Jana said there is more Ori in it so YAY) I was very skeptical over him at first (our books don't say anything about him on the back so he came out of nowhere o_O but he swooped in and saved her at the end. So thats a major + in my book.
I can't wait to read Soul Thief!
Gonna start Storm Born today.

I'm sad there's no set date for release. I love counting down to good books, but at least there's a tentative month, AND it's within this year. So many positives. Jana seems like a lovely author. She replied to my Tweets and DMed me last night after I gushed about loving the book, so that made me pretty damn happy Yeah, her dad seemed really freaked..but at the same time it was almost like he knows something more...like he'd hoped the demons wouldn't know her, and got all worried when it turned out they did. See, the back of our books said that Riley had three guys around her making things complicated. "Simon, the angelic apprentice who has heaven on his side; Beck, the tough trapper who thinks he's god's gift, and Ori, the strikingly sexy stranger who keeps turning up to save her life." .... so I kept wondering when this Ori was going to turn up, because so far she'd been in a few messes before Ori even popped up on the scene and even then, the first visit wasn't so much life saving as it was lending a hand (tyre change). But I still like Ori, and I'm definitely torn between him and Beck.

I think I found out about it on here but not so sure. Yup, I've read it (LOVED it!!). Pretty sure there's someone else on here who's read it as well. The second book in the series, The Lost Saint, recently came out. I hear it's pretty good. So... I got Outside In today in the mail. Yay!! Been excited for this book for about a year now. lol I also ordered Throat by R.A. Nelson, Angel's Blood by Nalini Singh, and Iron Crowned (double yay!!). Can't wait to get my hands on Iron Crowned.

I think I found out about it on here but not so sure. yes I am one of those who have talked about it. I loved it and the second book is even better imo! Almost done with Storm Born. I am LOVING this series. I don't think Richelle could write a bad book if she tried. She is by far my fav author. - Spoiler:
My heart broke when Eugenie found out about Kiyo and Maiween expecting. I expecting something was going on still, btu that was a shocker to me. I'm at the part where Eugenie just crossed over into the Underworld to retrieve Kiyo's soul back. I can't tell you how shocked i was to find out that Jasmine is Eugenie's sister. And the way the little brat is acting. Made me want to smack some damn respect into her. She has NO effing idea. Eugenie didn't know anything. It's not her fault. At least she's embrassing it now. ok gonna go finish it so I can read the next one and get Iron Crowned when it comes out.

| Finished 'Anna and the French Kiss' last night. Fabulous story. I adored it. It was just the sort of fun loving book I could read over and over again.
Started 'Along For the Ride' by Sarah Dessen this morning. So far I'm really enjoying it too.
Only down side to Anna and Along for the ride is that they keep reminding me of Melina Marchetta novels. I REALLY want to reread Saving Francesca, except I don't own a copy of it, I always borrowed my sister's and she took it with her when she moved for work *sigh* I'll have to go searching for my own copy soon and read a different Melina Marchetta novel instead.

| my reading is real slow going but I'm halfway through the 4th HON book. I"m slowly re-reading the series. At this point, I'm persistent. I was going to give up the re-reading and just read the new one. But after i took my dad to the doctors and we were waiting outside for cab, i seen this girl walking down the block reading the new book. I was sooo jealous because i used to read and walk. But now i can't because when im walking im assisting someone else or lugging bags or something. And I was jealous she was reading the book i've been trying to get too for a month. So stubbornly, I fight sleep and read a few chapters every night. I'm persistent and am determined to do this re-read of the series. I always re-read the series for the latest release. It's an ocd thing i have i guess. I just feel like i'm missing something if i dont lol. | |

| Finished 'Along for the Ride'. I loved it! It's such a sweet story, but you feel really connected to the characters because everything feels so real. It's the sort of story you can really lose yourself in. It was my first Sarah Dessen novel and I think I'm addicted...going to have to try a few others in the near future.
Don't know what I'll go onto reading now though...I've run out of new books again *sigh* looks like there''s a trip to the bookstore in order for me.

Same here. I used up all my vouchers yesterday just in case I can't later. Got Matched and some ink. I go online locally or the book depo for all my book needs. Its sad to think there might not be a physical book store to go to in a while. Thinking of getting a kobo or kindle or sony reader. Anyone have recommendations on which is better?

| Kindle! they're amazing! they don't kill your eyes when you look at the screen, they can hold up to 3,500 books, and you can search for books on it as well | |

Thinking of getting a kobo or kindle or sony reader. Anyone have recommendations on which is better? That's right, there's a new zealand store having the same problem, right? Whitcoulls? I think it's connected to our Angus and Robertson/Borders problem. I don't have any vouchers at the moment, but I hear there's trouble with them over here...like you can only use them if you match the price of the voucher (eg. $25 voucher = you have to spend another $25 to use it) I have a Sony Touch ereader and I love it! Just spent the last 3 days reading books on it, all day. It's pretty cool. There's a bit of a flicker that happens when you turn the page, but after the first couple of page turns you learn to ignore it. I didn't notice it at all reading my last book. It's designed to look like an actual book page, so I haven't had any problems reading for long distances (like glare or strain because of the backlight or anything). I really love it. Rhia: I would have been tempted by a Kindle, but Amazon doesn't sell their ebooks to Australian residents...I think you're able to buy the Kindle, but not the kindle books....that's not to say you wouldn't be able to get other ebooks from other suppliers, but it does narrow the field a bit. I think that's been my biggest problem with the ereader, finding stores that actually let Australians buy from them. The Aussie bookstore websites are ok, but they have a limited range of books available so far...they haven't quite reached the US availability yet.

| I have a kindle and i love it. I recommend it to anyone. However i do note, it's hard for me to use my Kindle. I dont like traveling with it. I'm scared it's going to get damaged in my purse or I'll drop it. Or on the train i wont even take it out. I just feel all eyes watching me and depending on the time and place i dont' think it's smart to flash things around in case someone tries to jack me. So i still read hard copies alot. But i love the kindle and if it wasn't for those issues I wouldn't have a problem with it. And a book light for the kindle works much better then a book like for books.I guess just weigh the options of availability and convenience to you and your location. | |

| Well, the damaging part is a little irrational because i have a case and they aren't as fragile as i imagine in my mind. But the traveling part isn't irrational. I do pass through some bad neighborhoods when on the train. I do live in NYC. And my neighborhood isn't isolated from crime, it happens here and happens often sadly. Plus, when I'm actually commuting using the trains, its at weird times. Like with school- I always was a night student so I wouldn't leave school until almost 10pm most nights. It takes atleast an hour to get home so i used to be out traveling by myself late. | |
