| nope definitely not the one I saw, but I really like the Girl on fire one. And yours are good too Ash. Way better than I would have ever managed. She doesn't look like Katniss at all to me but it's the acting part that matters. | |

| This one really does it for me. I can totally see Katniss in that one. lol But maybe that's just because there's a quiver with arrows on her back. Anyway, Wilda if you find the manip that you saw on Twitter, make sure you link it here!! | |

| I still like yours Ash, but wow, that one with the arrow is pretty damn good! I like the girl on fire one too. I'd never seen them before, the ones I keep spotting are a bit strange (don't know where on the net they are...but they're not particularly good) | |

I love this picture, but it's been bothering me, because it doesn't exactly look like Jen. Now it hits me, it looks like they put Jen's face on Anna Popplewell's body (or an Anna Popplewell Narnia picture.) The way the hair falls and the whole arrows thing, it totally looks like Susan from the Narnia movies. In fact I'm certain that's what they've done: http://interestingcelebrities.com/pictures/anna_popplewell.jpg

| It's not like it matters much, and I still think they did a good job...but it was messing with my head. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it looked familiar. | |

| That pic would be SO much more Katniss if her hair was braided. Oh well, I can't wait for official pics to come out. We have a year until the movie comes out *sigh* | |

| It so obviously looks edited. Definitely pasted on top of Susan from Narnia. Did see it and think Katniss. | |

| well the editing on it was done pretty well so it only looked kinda familiar when I first saw it but you guys are right the picture really is Susan from the Narnia movies | |

| So I hear they're now looking for Peetas and Gales for the HG movie. Here's who's allegedly auditioning: Peeta: Josh Hutcherson Alexander Ludwig Hunter Parrish Lucas Till Evan Peters Gale: Liam Hemsworth David Henrie Robbie Amell Drew Roy SOOO not feeling Liam or David for Gale (or anything having to do with HG). However, I totally am in love with Hunter and Lucas for Peeta (Lucas would be better since he's thicker looking imo, but I love Hunter from watching him on Weeds). Wouldn't mind Drew if he were Gale, since he's pretty damn hot and I've seen him in some things before (okay, so it was iCarly). I have no idea who those other guys are... except for Josh Hutcherson and frankly, I'm not impressed. Guess we'll have to wait and see who Suzanne Collins and the other guys choose. Edit: Okay, so I actually *do* know who Robbie Amell is and... he looks like a beefier version of Drew Roy!! lmao Seen him before, and gotta say I kinda like him for Gale (though not sure I like him more than Drew atm). | |

| I LOVE the idea of Robbie Amell as Gale. OMG, he's super freaking HOT! (which makes me sort of sad because I wanted Peeta to be the super freaking hot guy...but Gale can be hot too). I don't mind Drew Roy either.
I have to say I'm sort of disappointed with the Peeta choices. None of the guys really fit my image of Peeta. I think I like Lucas Till the best though, he's sort of got a cute and soft face, gentle-ish...but I reckon he could be hard/guarded too. Hunter Parrish is ok-ish, but he's not my first choice. I would go with Lucas

I would go with Lucas I get what you mean about Peeta. I really do like Lucas Till though and would be perfectly fine if he was chosen for the part. I remembered him from Walk the Line and from the Taylor Swift music video and I completely love the dude. I could see him as Peeta, though I'm not sure he quite lives up to the Peeta I imagined while reading. Lucas is my #1 for Peeta because he seems to have that sweeter vibe. Hunter seems more like the sarcastic/snarky type, though I love the dude as well. Also, he's kinda skinny. Not sure he could be Peeta physically if he's gotta throw around bags of flour. Peeta's supposed to be sort of average looking and husky. The only reason I'm not feeling Robbie for Gale is because... for some reason Canadians have a hard time hiding their accent!! lmao It's something with how they say things like "aboot". lol No offense to Canadians of course. Also, I think he's a little too broad-shouldered to be Gale. I'd go with Drew for that one if it came down to the two of them, though they're both equally hot. Which makes sense because Gale is SUPPOSED to be super hot. I mean, he's got lines of girls coming after him, but the only girl he (thinks) he wants is Katniss. Peeta's the average looking nice guy who ends up getting the girl.

lol, I didn't know Robbie was candian. I used to watch this Canadian show called Life with Derek on Disney channel. Robbie was in it and he was alright. He wasn't a main character or anything, but I remember him from a couple episodes. On the show he was a football player and boyfriend of the main character for a few seasons. Watched the HM movie... against my will. lol About the only good thing about it was Lucas. He's definitely nice to look at.

| BLEH. I just read that Josh Hutcherson has been cast as Peeta. To make matters worse... Liam Hemsworth will be playing Gale. http://insidemovies.ew.com/2011/04/04/josh-hutcherson-liam-hemsworth-hunger-games/I guess I'll have to wait for the movie before I pass any serious judgment, but so far... disliking this quite a bit. But I'm trying to keep positive on this because I have to believe that Suzanne Collins made the call. If she thinks they're right... well then they must be. Right? | |

| I was a little disappointed at first too (not so much about Liam though, because I once thought he'd be an ok peeta, so being gale is almost as good and I have to show a bit of Aussie solidarity and all that jazz.) but I don't know much about Josh and he didn't really fit my image under first impressions...BUT I just saw a Josh-Peeta manip and he's not too bad looking: http://mockingjay.net/2011/04/04/fan-artwork-josh-hutcherson-as-peeta-mellark/ I have faith. Yeah, Ash, Suzanne did have a say, so I've got faith in her. I think this is a little like the Jen Lawrence thing. We didn't really like her straight up, but now I think she's awesome. Libby, I try not to think too much about actors for books, it makes me nervous when my fave books are turning into movies, so I'm keeping an open mind. | |

| It's not that I don't like Josh Hutcherson. I abso loved him in the first movie I ever saw him in (Little Manhattan). He was too frickin adorable. But... not someone I can get all fangirl about so that was a disappointment for me. It's like the equivalent to having a crush on your litter brother's friend. *shudder* He's a good actor... just not who I pictured as Peeta personally. Liam on the other hand... has never impressed me and it has nothing to do with him being Aussie. But I guess we'll see. Maybe he'll change my mind. I didn't exactly hate him in the Last Song, but I didn't particularly love him either. Also he's a frickin giant so I wonder how the other cast members are going to measure up (literally) to him. | |

| I've only seen Josh in Bridge to Terabithia, so he wasn't exactly fangirl material for me either.
Liam I still this is ok. I haven't seen Last Song, so I can't judge from that. (I avoided it because of Mylie Cyrus) But I think his height is a good thing. Gale is supposed to be pretty tall, so it can't hurt for him to be a giant

Gale is supposed to be pretty tall, so it can't hurt for him to be a giant lmao Lucky you. I was FORCED to see that movie. It was horrible, so I compensated by making offhand comments throughout the entire thing. Particularly during the funeral scene. Personally I do not see Liam as Gale at all. Liam is just not hot enough. Tall enough, yes. But his face is not all that pleasing, which is also disappointing because Gale is supposed to be really damn hot. Liam doesn't cut it, but Suzanne Collins made the call. There must be something about the guy. Either way I'm not all that broken up about it because I never liked Gale to begin with. Oh yeah... Josh Hutcherson... totally not fangirl material. Whenever I think of Josh Hutcherson I see this: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3564935936/nm1242688Cute all right... too frickin adorable as the case may be. But I can't picture him grown up. I TOTALLY cannot see myself getting fangirly over this kid. He's younger than my little brother!! *eww* But... the more I chew on it, I'm actually starting to see him as Peeta. Maybe this could work. I'm definitely still holding out hope.

| We'll just have to stay positive. They must have been picked for a reason. They had Jen.L read lines with all the guys to suss out chemistry etc. So they must fit the roles really well. Think of it this way...Liam won't really be in much of the first movie anyway, so no worries (that's probably not a good way of looking at it, but still it works, haha) | |
