| Thanks. I handed my test in about 20 minutes ago and now I'm sort of freaking over what I might have answered wrong... Ah well. It's handed in now. Not much I can do about it. I felt like I knew most of the answers but there were a couple that tripped me up and I'm not so sure about those... and then I had to give an example of classical conditioning (this was a psych test btw) and I'm not sure if I did that right. I thought I understood it all going in. *shrug* Eh. I just hope I don't get a bad grade. Anyway, I hope everyone's having a good day. | |

| Thanks for all the luck ladies Wilda: I totally understand the experience thing. That's been my problem for the last few jobs, that I've had no experience *sigh* I wish you luck in any future applications for you too. Tasha: Ok, so your hubby has a point. But (even though I hate dentists) I reckon it'd be better to get rid of the toothache. Ash: You can breathe now the test is over. And think positively, you won't get a bad grade. So the footy presentation night was pretty fun. The player I wanted to win the major award won *dances* and I got to see some of my other fave players in suits! *cough*Ash:DANIELCONN*cough* (they're so different when they're not wearing footy boots etc.) But you could totally tell my dad and I were out of our league at the event. They had all the club's coporate sponsors and high official club members. We fit in (looked the part all dressed up) but we didn't at the same time. They had this raffle on...each ticket was $1000! They were trying to seel an extra 15 tickets (ontop of the 100+ tickets they'd already sold) and did this sort of giant call out thing. When they'd sold the tickets my dad turned to me and said "I'm glad you kept your hand down." Either way it was fun and the food and entertainment were good. | |

| There were 17 prizes. A car, a trip to Europe, a trip to NZ, 2 cases of beer every month for a year...and a bunch of other ones I can't remember off the top of my head. | |

| Glad you had a great time Kim. Those are some pretty steep tickets, but I guess with those prizes I can understand. Well except for the beer. That just doesnt seem worth it imo but then again, I'm not a beer drinker.
I'm freakin sick with a cold and O'm losing my voice. This is the part of my daughter being in school that I hate. We were all healthy during the summer but here we are 3 weeks into school and a cold is going around. On top of that, my daughter hurt her left wrist today. She came home with it slightly swollen and bruised cause she apparently didn't see a hole while at recess and fell. And the teacher failed to notify me. Its not a serious injury but still a little email would have been highly appreciated -___-

| I hope you get better soon Wilda. It'd be different if your daughter had a minor cut on the arm or something, but if she comes home with swollen arms, that's not exactly minor. | |

| I hope you feel better Wilda. I would of freaked out if i wasnt notified. I'm one of those type of people. Most importantly though, i hope your daughter is alright!
Sorry i've been quiet the past few days. Been busy preparing for the hubby's chemo week and been feeling under the weather. THe other day i went to the store, it stopped raining for nearly two hours so i figured i would be okay to run to the store which is five minutes away, total time outside being 20 mins or less. I got two blocks from my house when it started to pour. So been battling getting sick. So cannot afford to get sick.
And i nearly drove myself crazy yesterday. Was expecting the hubby's chemo meds in the mail. And i'm used to the UPS drivers not waiting for someone to answer the doorbell. So when i know i have a delivery i hawk out the window all day and if i hear anything truck sounding i go to the door. Well it was garbage day so garbage trucks were going down the block all morning. Then all afternoon the school buses. Then i was hearing trucks when none were even going down the block. I was literally walking from my room ( 3rd floor) to the front door all day and walking from window to window in side the house. Needless to say i didnt get the delivery. It showed up this morning , which is "fine" cause he didnt need to take the medication until tonight. But i was more angry than anything. Is it really too much to have professionalism? It gets me so angry. I called the chemo med company Tuesday and they sent it out for delivery Tuesday , over night, so i was supposed to get it Wednesday. I wanted to wake up and raise hell over the phone but i knew it wasnt the med company, it was UPS. So the hubby told me to relax and wait it out. So i planned i would give it until lunch time before i start calling people. That's exactly when the package showed up. And then the package? it looked like someone played soccer with the box. I was livid.

| I hate it when I'm waiting for a delivery and it doesn't show up. That's only for books I would probablt get really angry it it was meds.
The finger is improving I think. It totally wrecked my study break/spring break. So behind with assignment\test prep now. Back to uni on monday. The country is in Rugby world cup mode and most of fave tv shows are taking a hit.

| Tasha: That's crap! These are important meds, they should have some special delivery company getting them out to you, not just UPS... and it should be undamaged too. I'm glad it showed up though.
Libby: Glad your finger is improving a bit. I totally understand the Rugby World Cup thing. I'm not a fan of Rugby Union (I like rugby league, but can't stand union.) But it's going to be all anyone talks about for the next few weeks.

| Tasha- I'm with kim (although a completely different set of words came to my mind). Glad it got delivered in time for him to take his meds though they shouldn't have damaged the box in the process.
Libby-Glad your finger is getting better and I hope you get caught up on everything soon.

| So I finally heard back from the work experience people. They don't actually have a spot available at the moment, but I've been put at the top of their list for when it *is* availabe (probably not for a couple of months) So I'll keep emailing people and applying to other places, but I've got my foot in the door again.
Hope everyone is doing well.

| Kim, I agree with Ash. It's better than nothing but I hope you find something sooner.
My computer decided to mess up yesterday. I was listening to music then all of a sudden it shut off then didn't want to load back up. The computer help thing tried for a couple hours to get it going but eventually I had to reset it back to factory mode. I thought i was going to lose everything on here-my pictures and a couple stories I've been working on are all saved on here but luckily, it let me back my files up first. So I had to run to the store and get the appropraite disks. Lesson learned on not having back up files.

| Kim. I'm glad you made the wait list! It's a nice back up plan, if you know what i mean. So just keep doing what you're doing and I'm sure you'll get something great. :-)
Wilda- Sorry your computer is acting up. I"m terrible at maintenance of electronics. Luckily I have the hubby for that. But he's slacking in that since we both have laptops , the desktop PC hardly gets used. It's mostly to download videos and watch movies lol. But we usually have our files on both our individual laptops AND the PC and sometimes on my USB drive cause thats how i transfer files. But since i'm not in school anything that would be lost is videos and i can just download them again. So just make sure you back up your pictures, everything else is replaceable. And you can always upload to sites too , i always upload everything to facebook too so thats sort of a backup file lol.
Sorry i've been quiet. Alot has been going on. It was the hubby's chemo week. The new nausea medications ( 2 new meds) was working really well. I was so terrified of saying anything to anyone. I didnt want to jinx it. But he experienced no nausea, no bathroom problems, and the lack of appetite wasnt bad at all. He was tired but not the extreme tiredness he has been feeling whilst on chemo. I was so happy for him.
Then yesterday ( while still taking chemo) we had to go to the social security office to be interviewed for the hubby's assistance claim. We were there for 5 hours. we signed in at 914am and we didnt get called in for the interview until 230 in the afternoon. It was horrible. I froze my but off all day and as a result i am now sick. ANd the hubby got really sick from exerting himself, traveling there and then being "up" and out for so long. Then when we came home, he had an allergic reaction again. It got bad but the medicine worked mostly. So we went to sleep. About 230 in the morning it started to come back so i gave him medicine and he went back to sleep. He woke me up at like 9am and it was back with a vengeance . I gave him what the doctor told me too but it didnt work. So told me to give him 20mg of this steroid for a mild reaction and i can administer up to 60mg if its severe. So after the 20mg didnt do anything, an hour later i gave him the rest 40mg to equal the 60 mg. And he took the maximum amount of the other allergy med. So we're here patiently waiting. The itchiness went away mostly he said and some spots are clearing up ( its like 80% of his body). If this doesnt work, I have to take him to the emergency room and they will have to flush his system with an IV drip. But so far its working so my fingers are crossed. His oncologist expected an allergy reaction but i was praying it wouldnt happen. Yesterday was the last day of his chemo so hopefully after today it wont be bad and will go away.

| Wilda: Hope you didn't lose anything. Computer crashes suck. My laptop crashed randomly yesterday... no blue screen of death however and it seemingly works perfectly... I don't know why that happened. Luckily all of my important stuff is on my desktop at home or saved to my USB drive. lol I'd mind if this thing didn't turn back on though. Then I'd have to resort to the campus computers... Tasha: I hope your hubby's doing better now. Well. I've finished all my math homework for this week. Oh, and I got the results from that psych test... 46/50!! Wow, I hadn't expected to do quite that well. lol Also, one of the questions on there was a jacked up one so he's going to be adding a point if anybody got that wrong. I think it's sort of lame that I've already got another psych test coming up next week though. But oh well. Guess I'll just have to spend this weekend studying since I have my first math test the same day. Argh. I'm really confused about school right now though. Technically I'm an education major... but being back in psych classes has me thinking I should've picked psychology instead... I don't know what to do... I like them both!! | |

| Wilda: Ugh, I hate when computers do that. Mine did something similar to me last week, shutting down randomly, but it didn't actually screw up anything. You have totally reminded me that I have to back up my files though, haven't done that in a while.
Tasha: I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you too. I hate hearing about all these allergic reactions, I can only imagine what you're going through. Stay strong! I hope your hubby gets better soon *hugs*
Ash: WELL DONE! 46/50 is awesome! So proud of you! Sucks that you have to do another one next week though. Can you take psych classes as an elective while still working on the education degree? Or is this the only psych class you'll be able to take?

| Haha thanks. Yeah I'm pretty happy with my grade. I was worried I didn't study enough. Having another test so soon is kind of a pest, but I think it's quite a lot less content to have to study for this time. lol Good thing too because I'm pretty sure that math test is going to kick my ass. I've actually considered doing a psychology minor along with my education major... but now I'm seriously considering just switching majors to psychology. Only problem then is I'd have to pick a minor or double major and I don't know which one I'd do. I don't think an education minor is available because it's for teacher students who are accepted into the program. I'd have to pick something else and I don't know what I'd go with at this point. I should probably figure out soon what I want to do though. It'll be hard enrolling in classes for next semester if I don't know what major I'm doing. I should probably just switch to psych seeing as how many courses I've taken already (12 hours including this semester). | |

| Ash - Education and Psych sounds like a good combo. Congrats on your test mark. Do you get letter grades? I got a tablet yesterday So i've been playing on it all day so today hasn't been very productive. I was going to post earlier but using a touch screen is a pain cause I'm not used to it. Waiting for the finger to get back to normal. Its really messing with uni work now. | |

| Good job on your test Ash! A psychology major sounds awesome. I took a psychology class my last year in HS and loved it. I say think about which one you would enjoy more and go with that for your major.
Tasha, hope the hubby is doing better and that the allergy reaction has gone away and that you get better soon. It seems that everyone is sick right now including me : /

| Oh Ash! Congrats are doing well on your test! Good luck on the next one . And majors are so annoying. I'm going to say just do a little research. Make your decision bases mostly on what you enjoy but do take into account of which degree can help you work and be applied in the future. I feel obligated to through that in since I'm pretty much screwed with a useless sign language degree. I loved the language. But the degree doesn't do me squat. So just do a little research. You can always take elective classes right( that's the way my college works) so if anything you can still take psych classes.
Libby- hope your finger gets better soon! Have fun with the new tablet!
Wilda- hope you feel better soon!
Kim- thanks love :-)
So things have been incredibly crazy on my end. I ended up taking the hubby to the ER Tuesday. The rash/allergy wasnt going away . It didnt affect his breathing but i maxed out on his meds and it was like on 95% of his body. The ER doctors said he needed an extra kick of medicine which is why what I was giving him wasnt working. They gave him a shot and something for his stomach. But he kept having allergy attacks all night and all day yesterday. Yesterday afternoon, his throat was irritated and slight enlarged so I was having a heart attack. I was there with the phone in my hand ready to call 911. But the hubby fell asleep and started snoring. Then right after that drama on my block. A bunch of teens broke into the house at the corner ( second house down from me). The problem it was daylight outside, my dad was outside, my neighbors were out doing their yard work and stuff. They walked right past my dad. Then one of the neighbors saw them lingering by the house and saw one jump up to the window. So she called the cops. They left by time the cops got there. After the cops left, my next door neighbors saw them coming back on the block and so they called the cops back. Then my dad's dumass decides he's going to walk to the store. The store is four blocks away. He said he was walking and he saw them following him. He got to the store and two of the kids followed him inside the store. They didnt say anything to him, just stalked him and stared. So my dad called the house phone but we couldn't understand him, we thought he got sick. He just kept saying come get me come get me. So we think he fell down sick and my brother and my hubby go running to the car and my brother drives all fast and furious. Thats when we found out they followed my dad to the store and my brother and hubby was pissed. They could of been walking into an ambush. My dad should have called 911. When they get back everyone was so pissed at my dad for putting himself in danger like that. Even normally, without these kids around, he isn't supposed to go anywhere by himself at night/dark. Hes still sick. The cops came back and we informed the cops my dad was followed to the store. And they told my dad what we said, stay home, lock the doors, call the cops if he sees them. The cops were patrolling down the block all night.
My poor hubby is wired. He gave me the speech " daylight or not you're not going out alone" . He kept waking up all night all tensed up like something was happening. I tried calming him down. IT was dum of the kids to show their face on the block again, and even stupider to follow my dad into a store, where they probably are on camera now. For them to come back yet again would be by far the stupidest thing in the whole world.

| tasha: Well the kids haven't shown much intelligence so far, so it wouldn't surprise me if they turned up again. I hope they don't though and that nothing happens to your family. Hope you hubby is doing well today.
Nalini Singh is in Sydney today, signing books in the city. But it's not an actual signing, like stock signing instead. My friend and I were trying to work out what time she'd be there and casually drop in, but she said on Twitter that there is no set time, so looks like that plan is out of the question, since my friend has to go to work and I'm not going to sit in a bookstore all day and wait for her to arrive. It's a shame, because it'd be cool to meet her, but I think there'll be more chances in the future; since she lives in NZ, Australia's not that far to get to.

| Libby: I only found out the number questions I got right (47/50) but after doing calculations it's a 94%... so it's an A. I hope your finger heals up soon. It's a pain doing any work when something's hurting. Wilda: Yeah I'm definitely going to have to think about which one I'd rather do. So far it's being a tough decision. lol Psych is totally fun and I've always enjoyed it. I just never thought it was for me. Now I'm learning I'm an idiot. Tasha: Well, I keep hearing that it doesn't really matter what you major in as long as you graduate. lol Well, that's what everybody says anyway. I'm trying not to worry quite as much about what to major in as long as I figure out which one I prefer. At this point, that's all I'm concerned with. I'll have to research it a bit though, figure out how to change majors and all that. Hopefully it can be done because right now I'm leaning towards switching. I'm not too worried anymore about after graduation because if I decide to teach it's just a matter of getting certified. As long as you've got a degree it's basically not a problem. Also, I hope you guys stay safe. Kids can be dangerous when they've got too much time on their hands. Fidiots. Kim: That's too bad you couldn't see Nalini Singh. It's always fun meeting authors. I've only managed to meet 3 in person (RM, Maggie Stiefvater and Maria Snyder), but each experience is so different. It's always really cool seeing how authors are in real life. Though I've found that if they have a huge internet presence, they're pretty much the same in person. | |

| Thanks Kim and Ash. Things have calmed down a bit. My aunt who lives downstairs works for the police department called the local precinct and pulled the "cop" card. So they have been sending extra patrol cars down the block. The hubby and I actually went out for breakfast today. :-)
Ash- not sure how your school works, but switching majors for me was literally signing a paper. I switched my major 3 or 4 times , I've lost count lol. The last time they made me see an academic adviser cause they didnt want me switching my major again lol.
