What's everyone up to?

I'm not going out much these days either, but it'd be nice to have the option of being out in the sun. Sucks that this doesn't feel much like summer.

I just...found out...that my 7.5 yr old daughter...got kissed...on the cheek...by a BOY...right before Christmas break O.O and she just now told me, 2 weeks later!

Aw Wilda. I wish you and your family the best. I probably would FREAK. I feel bad I dont have advice, i don't have kids so i can't even contemplate what to do. But your a great mother, with an awesome hubby and you two are raising your kids awesome-ly. I have no doubt in your parenting :-)

Ela-I still don't know how I feel about that kiss. I know it was only the cheek, but still. She's not even 8 yet lol Then again my first real kiss was when i was 6 which only makes me more nervous nwo that I thought about it. Oh dear, I am definitely not ready for her to grow up!

Wilda: Don't worry about her growing up yet! getting taller is fine, getting a boyfriend is not.

Ela: Same. One year I tried not to argue with my sister and I didn't even make it a week before getting angry with her

hey ladies, just a quick post to let everyone know my laptop died. I dont know what happened to it. it was freezing up on me and now it wont load up when i try to turn it on. have to bring it back to the store but i have to find the warranty first. Ugh i have no idea where it is, i used to store it in my laptop case but moved it thinking if it rains or something or falls out of the laptop case I mostly like wont notice it's missing until I'm home or what not. Now my laptop case is safe and sound under my bed and the warranty is somewhere among piles of crap lol. Hope you all are well and hope to get my laptop fixed so i can come online and post more.

Ugh, I find myself in the need to vent. My older sister is overseas atm and she gave us her new wireless internet to use while we're away too, because usually we wouldn't have internet here. The problem was that it'd need to be recharged before she came back because it was going to expire in a few days. That was fine, she gave us all the details and I felt pretty confident I could do it, but asked my twin to look over my shoulder while it was done just in case something went wrong. Well, we recharged, the screen said "ERROR" at us and when we checked the balance nothing had changed. So we tried again, this time it all went through...then we check the balance a second time and it looks as though the first one did actually go through, we've been double charged. I don't know if there are password codes or who to contact to say something went wrong, so my twin is all "Oh well, there's nothing we can do about it." I agree, there's not a lot we can do at the moment and said as much, but also said I'd feel guilty making my older sister pay twice for the same recharge and said that when she gets home I'll reimburse her for the mix up. My twin then yells at me "No! You don't have to give her anything." and I blow up back at her because I'd *just* explained that I was going to feel guilty for it so I wasn't going to just fake an error and make my older sis live with it. Then my twin's all "Why are you yelling at me?" Ugh...sometimes siblings are so annoying. Usually I'm all for saying we're a heap tight family and I get along with both my sisters better than they get along with each other, but today feels like one of those last-straw days.

My dad came in and said there'd have to be a number to contact somewhere, we found it, my twin took charge and we got the second one refunded. I'm all happy now, no more issues with siblings (Twin also just said "Sorry I yelled at you.")

Sorry you had to go through that Kim, but I'm glad you got everything worked out.

Kim- sorry you had to go through that hassle. But, i admire your conscious. I would of held the same position you did. I would feel guilty and wanted to reimburse your sister too. It's over with now and glad it's all resolved and no more fighting with siblings. Fighting is always much worse with loved ones.

Thanks everyone! The hubby fixed my laptop. He thinks it over heated and he did some tech stuff to my laptop.... i called it the matrix. Lol. He brings up all those screens with codes and numbers and html coding and ran tests and stuff. Then he restored it to factory condition. He saved all my pictures and writings before he did that. But, i forgot about my bookmarks so i lost alot of sites and stuff but that's okay. I have the important ones ( i.e. SB and my blog) so it doesn't matter. Going to charge my laptop now and then have a lazy day on the internet. Maybe try some writing. That was my New Year's resolution... to get back into writing.

Anyone else have a New Year's Resolution?

It's only the 12th and I can say that so far this year sucks more than last year did. I've got some crappy stuff going on and if I can't find a job in the next few months then this will become the worst year ever. I'm not going to go into detail, but I'm extremely stressed and I spent the other night crying damn near non stop. I haven't talked to anyone about this cause everytime I even think about it, I tear up. I'm an emotional mess and my husband can't even be there for me b/c its between us. That should tell you what is at stake right there.

For the past 2 days I've done nothing but put applications in. I'm taking a small break now b/c my eyes are protesting against those damn assessment tests. I understand they want to see hwo you respond to stuff but is it really neccessary to ask the same thing 50 times differently? Anyways, just please keep your fingers crossed that I get a job quickly.



Tasha, I'm glad you are back to writing. My resolutions are 1-Get a job and 2 finish writing my story.

Helloooooooooooo! Long time no posting for me, how is everyone? Missed you all, been revising for my history exam which is a week on Monday! Eeeek! I passed my driving test yesterday as well, so been busy with everything tbh!

Wilda: *Hugs* I'm so sorry you're having problems. (I know 'problems' doesn't really cover it, but I'm having trouble thinking this morning, sorry). I hope you're not stressing to much (I know you are, because of the crying, but I really, really hope you don't have to keep stressing) My fingers are definitely crossed for you and I'm demanding (to higher beings) that things turn out right for you soon. We're here if you need us.

Ela: Congrats on passing your driving test. I've got to do mine sometimes soon. I've still got about 13 Learner hours to complete first and then the test. I really don't want to do it. I've had my Ls for almost 5 years and I'm a pretty good driver, but I'm just not interested in driving places. But like people keep telling me it's better to have the licence than to be caught in a bad situation and not being able to drive. Good luck on your test.


Like Wilda, my year hasn't been the best. But my problems are with my dvd player still. Came home from holiday yesterday and it's screwing up again. Called the manufacturer and they gave some random arsed problem and told us to take it back to the repairers and let them deal with it again, but that means driving 2 hours (1 there, 1 back) TWICE to get it looked at AGAIN! I have to call the repaireres in a few minutes to see if they're open on Saturdays because I don't think we'll get out there today, but I hate that the manufacturer had no decent solution. They gave us 2 solutions already and they didn't work. We've tried repair, isn't it time to replace or refund now?

Wilda- Oh i'm so sorry love. I was just thinking how i wished i live near one of you girlies cause you all are awesome friends. Now, i wish i really did. i know since you can't talk to your hubby you must be feeling so alone. Just know while I'm not there in person , i'll be here cyber-ly for you. PM if you like... even if it's just to unleash and let it all out... i don't mind at all. I have complete faith that you will get hired by someone soon. You put the effort and we're all sending you positive thoughts and support. If you need a personal reference i'll be more than happy to write one for you!

Kim- ugh. so sorry your getting the run around with getting your dvd player fixed. I hope it all gets sorted out soon. I'm proud of your patience though. My temper would of gotten the best of a long time ago and the dvd player would of went flying out the window...lol.


It seems the new year has been rough on alot of people. Mine's hasn't been too good. While the hubby was feeling better... so that was great. But he was so sick for a while. We had to reschedule his doctor's appointment twice. Then yesterday we were ready to go to his appointment. The hubby was feeling good. Then something happened that triggered the hubby to go into an attack. Remember i told you all how after he awoke during oral surgery he's been having panic/anxiety attacks? When he was better from them. He hasn't had one in weeks. He was going outside again. He was getting better. But yesterday, our transportation ( free medical transportation, they send a cab driver) arrive.... almost two hours early before our pick up time. And the cab driver parked in front of my house and went to sleep. We said whatever at first and went about our routine. Half hour early then our pick up time we go outside early and we tried to wake this cab driver up. He would not wake up. I bruised my knuckles knocking on his window. Finally we give up and come inside and the hubby and I are debating about calling the cab company. We didnt want to get the guy in trouble. Then the hubby starts getting anxious and freaking out and angry all at one. He was goin on a rant saying how is he supposed to trust that cab driver to drive him 45 mins on highways. If he is that tired he could fall asleep at the wheel. I try to calm the hubby down and he was calming down but then he told me he felt dizzy. So i told him him to sit down and he turns around and then he just passed out, fell to the ground and didn't breathe for a scary couple of seconds. Once he started breathing again I got him talking and it took him 20 mins to calm down. He was bruised from the fall. But, then he was torturing himself and upset all day saying he thought he was over the panic attacks and trying to figure out what happened, why he had one. He spoke to his doctor briefly and she sent up a phone conference for us for next week so he doesnt have to go in. It was scary and so unexpected. ANd my dog bianca she is so cute. When the hubby fell, she jumped on his chest with her front paws then jumped off and kept doing that ...it was like she was giving him compression for CPR.

Wilda - I'm sorry about everything you're going through at the moment. Finding a job is stressful enough you don't need
problems with your partner at the same time. What sort of job are you looking for?

Ela - congrat!
At least someone passed their driving test this week. I am currently very pissed of a driving tester.
What's wrong with being extra careful in wet weather? It's stage two to three so it won't stop me from driving.

Tasha - as always hoping you don't have to deal with medical dramas.
Had a specialist appointment for that weird finger thing. One hour wait for a 5 min appointment.
They can't figure out why it happened and ordered a third set of bloodwork. That also pissed me off.
I would probably be more pissed of if it wasn't public and I had to pick up the tab.

There still hasn't been a blue sky day this summer. The only good thing about this is I don't feel bad being indoors doing
my research work. Passed the half way mark today officially. My supervisor likes what I've done so far. Gotta do some catch up work at the weekend cause I took time out for my driving test and specialist appointment.

Thanks ladies. You guys being here for me means the world to me. I love you girls so much, I honestly don't know what i would do without you. Sending big hugs to you all!

Libby-anything at the point. I don't care what it is, I'll do it. Ok so there are still some lines I won't cross, but I'll do mostly anything. I might not like it, but as long as its a job, I'll take it.

Tasha, sorry your hubby had to go through that again. I can't believe that cab driver just slept like that and then wouldn't wake up! I don't blame your hubby for freaking out though, I would have too. Hopefully he'll be ok with going out again soon. What Bianca did is cute. There have been a bunch of situations where an animal has saved their owner so it sounds liek she knew what she was doing

Kim, sorry you've got dvd player drama. I agree, after having to take it to be repaired once and it doing it again, its definitely time the manufacturer replaces it. You shouldn't have to drive an hour there and back twice to get it fixed for the second time. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Wilda - *huggles* i hope everything will get better for you soon my dear!

Kim - Yeah, i know about the driving rules where you are, i think it's better to be honest as you all get more practice than us here in the UK..we get lessons and then take the test, we don't have to do certain hours.

Libby - how many lessons have you had? on my 1st driving lesson with the teacher, he made me overtake a truck/lorry!! it was terrifying!

Tasha - awww! hubby was getting and then had the attack so sorry Tasha! i hope everything will get better very soon so he can go see the doctor! bless your dog! thats so cute!

No call backs yet. I'm trying to stay positive but it's hard. All I can do is keep trying and hopefully soon someone will at least give me a chance.
