| I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you Wilda.
Tasha: lol. Thanks for the double birthday wishes.
Ela: I like having driving hours, but we have to do 120 hours with 20 being night driving. It's really hard to find time to do that much learner hours and there are ALWAYS pushy drivers around you that get pissed off that you're learning. Like today, my sister took my driving to pick up my dvd player (which seems to be working really well at the moment) but we had this arse of a driver come screaming up behind me and almost caused an accident. I cried the whole way home because I've never been that close to being hit before. Scared the crap out of me. I think I'll spend the rest of my week in my room avoiding cars.

| Thanks ladies!
What a jerk! Sorry you had to go through that Kim. Its like that all the time here so I've gotten used to it, but I remember what it was like when I first started driving. Scary as hell. Its people like that, that shouldn't be driving. Glad you are safe. I say stay home, relax and read <---the solution to most problems.

| Yeah, I think it was a combination of things, not just the bastard driver that set me off. But I'm definitely doing nothing but reading today, I don't want to do anything too stressful. | |

| Kim - Happy belated Birthday! Hope you got loads of new books. Drivers don't piss me of as much as cyclists. One minute they use pedestrian road rules and the next they vehicle rules. Just because they're polluting the world less. Sorry you had to deal with a psychotic driver. 140 hours that is a lot. I think people here do like 30 or 40 and get their P equivalent.

| So sorry that happened to you Kim. Hope your feeling better now. Some people just shouldn't be on the road. I kind of like the 120 hr requirement. I wish NY had that requirement cause some people get their license and just shouldn't have. | |

| I need facebook help from anyone willing to give it. I've entered a competition where I need votes to win a book. So far I'm coming second, but it's sort of like 3rd because the people above me are tied for first. I'm 4 votes behind. Anyone willing to help DM me and I'll give you the deets.
Hope everyone's having a good day.

| Lol, thanks Tasha, but you've done enough already. I just want to stay close to the top. I don't care if I come 1st, 2nd or 3rd but I want to be in that top 3. I'm 3 votes behind equal first, and 6 votes in front of #4...so I'm doing ok...but there's still 30 hours until the first round closes, so that's a lot of time for people to catch up or get ahead. My plan is to stalk facebook all day and catch people while they're on Chat and beg them to vote for me while they can't avoid me (but only nice people I think will actually do it, otherwise I'll feel REALLY bad and it'll be awkward if they're like "um...no") | |

| Congrats Kim!
I just got back from the doctor. I have pharyngiis/tonsilitis, which are just fancy words for sore throat. My throat is so sore, and swollen that it hurts like hell to swallow. Even drinking water hurts. He prescribed me antibiotics and steroids, so hopefully I'll be better soon.

| Thanks Kim! I'm already feeling a little better today. My throat is still sore, but the swelling is going down.
How is everyone? What's new?

| Yay, 'm glad you're feeling slightly better.
Not much new here. I've got to do another 4 hours of night driving and then I go for my driving test, but that's about it.

| It probably won't happen for a few weeks, but thanks! I'm sure you'll all know when it does happen, i'll be stressing and freaking out etc. It's Australia Day today and even though I usually don't do anything on Australia Day I have to laugh at everyone who planned fancy picnics and a day at the beach because the weather is crap (and has been all week) and no-one's going to have a good sunny day, that''s for sure. I might convince my sister to go shopping later to get lamingtons though...mmm. | |

| I had to look up what a lamington is lol Its a type of sponge cake that sounds delish! I swear you Aussies get the best foods. Those TimTams for example. I'm going to have to go get some more | |

| I'm so sorry. I did that to Ash yesterday too. I was certain I'd gushed about lamingtons before, otherwise I would have described them. Yes, sponge cake, covered in chocolate icing and coconut. You can make them yourself (I have) but be warned, you get chocolate and coconut EVERYWHERE! TimTams...yum. They keep coming up with fancy new timtam, like mint flavoured or honeycomb ... but I prefer original ones. They're super rich though, as I'm sure you know Wilda. | |

| No need to apologize. I will definitely have to try and make a lamington someday. And yes, the timtams are really sweet. My hubby didn't like them b/c they were too sweet for him. Then again it was the white chocolate and white choc is way sweeter. | |

| Aw, your hubby needs to work on his sweet tooth But I probably wouldn't be able to handle the white chocolate ones either. White Chocolate doesn't do it for me. If you do ever make lamingtons, you HAVE to tell me how they go for you | |

| Kim - hope you had a nice Australia day.
I like how you learn little things about different countries here. I feel like eating a lamington now. You don't have to make them from scratch. Store bought sponge cake, drip in melted chocolate, cover with shredded coconut.
On the subject timtams - dark choc is the best.

| Libby has a very good point. Buy the sponge cake from the store. Makes everything heaps easier.
I had a relaxing Australia Day, Libby.

| I'm here! Friday i was having the worst day. The drama got to much the hubby and I just packed some bags and left to my sisters apartment for the weekend. We couldnt take our laptops cause it was raining. But i went back for the laptop and my doggie yesterday.
it just got too much. The hubby has been really sick. He didnt eat or sleep for two days. The next two days anything he ate or drank he threw up. On top of the hubby being sick and stressing out, his doctor called us and told us she is leaving. So Wednesday we go meet with her for a final goodbye and reference to another doctor. It's not just any doctor, it's his oncologist so that has us very depressed.
A good friend of mine, his father passed away. He's been very ill for years. Two weeks ago he had another heart attack and was left a vegetable. This week , he finally passed. it sucked so much we couldnt be there for him the way we wanted too.
Then friday, i receive a package in the mail. I didnt order anything. We have no money. So the hubby opens it and its a dozen or so gold plated coins... costing 300 dollars. So i'm freaking out thinking someone opened a credit card in my name( i dont have a credit card) and thinking i have an identity thief problem. Then my dad said he ordered the coins. So i asked him why the hell he ordered it in my name. he denied he did. So i was fighting with him all day about it. the financial situation my family is, that 300 dollar credit card purchase is crushing. Then a little while after he got ANOTHER package. So i had to tell my mother. And my father put the blame on me and made me look like the bad guy. I'm just tried of the drama and dishonesty.
