Oh Tasha, I'm so sorry you have all that drama going on on top of everything. I can't believe your dad would do such a thing! He's a grown ass man who should know better. If I were you, I would send the stuff back. It's not right for him to order stuff in your name and then deny it. I'm realy sorry about your oncologist. I'm sure she'll recommend the best doctor possible. I really hope things get better for you guys and that your hubby starts feeling better soon! Oh and I'm so sorry about your friend's father. Hopefully he'll understand why you guys couldn't be there for him like you wanted. Sending lots of hugs!!

Okay so two things

1: Sorry I haven't been on lately, I've been stuck doing a bunch of homework since winter break

The hubby and I had a crushing day at the oncologist today. There is no easy way to say it. She suspects either he has a new tumor or the old tumor is growing back. She gave him a time line of how long he has. We're going for a emergency MRI with an additional imaging test to determine what it is exactly 6 am in the morning. The bad part about the test, tomorrow is the oncologists last day so we wont actually get to meet with her after the test, we go home and she said she will call us before she leaves the office for the day/for good. Also, after describing the hubby's sickness( the being chemo sick without being on chemo, the weakness, the anxiety, numbness of hands) she is lead to believe the hubby is having mini seizures ( the numbness mostly) and also believes a tumor or something is causing all of that to happen basically causing his brain to go haywire. I just dont know how to keep it together anymore.

Oh Tasha, I'm so sorry you're going through all of this again. I wish there was some way I could help. I don't know what to say, other than I'm here for you if you need to talk. *hugs*

There is absolutely nothing I can say that would help or make this any easier for you Tasha. I am so sorry that you guys are going through this again. Just know that we are here for you anytime. Talk, cry, vent, yell, whatever, we're here for you. HUGS!

Its a bit quiet on here. What's everyone up to?

I've got a job interview on Tuesday. Its by far not my ideal job, but it's a job that would give me some experience while looking for a better job. So its better than nothing I suppose.

Thank you everyone! I appreciate everything SO much. It's been a hard couple of days. Thursday and friday was just a bunch of doctors and tests and waiting. We didn't get a call from the doctor until today. And it's fantastic news. The hubby doesnt have a new tumor! we are so ecstatic!

So, I ended up at the doctor's again today. I've got strep throat. I saw a different doctor (I liek him a lot more) and he took one look at my red swollen throat and actually winced. So he ordered the test and it came back positive. They didn't do the strep test last time. its only been 2 weeks since I first went. Hopefully the new meds will get rid of it. I'm worried that I won't be able to make it to my interview tomorrow. I hope I'll be ok enough to go. I at least need to be able to talk and not look like the dead.

Oh Wilda, I'm so sorry you're still having throat problems. I hope everything clears up by tomorrow (or at least isn't too bad).

I sat at the interview for 2 freakin hours before I finally got interviewed. The guy said he liked my attitude and would like to give me a chane. However, the girl didn't seem impressed. She said they will be going over all the applications and will give me a call when they decide. I came close to getting up and leaving. It took all I could not to show how irritated I was. I really hope a better job comes along soon, cause I can't see myself staying at that place for long if they do hire me : /

God, that sucks. Who tells you an interview time and makes you wait 2 hours? That's not very professional.

They were understaffed. They weren't busy when I got there, but about 10 minutes later everyone and their brother showed up. They stayed busy up until about 30 minutes before I left. I really don't want to work there, but I need the experience at least until i can find something else.

I'm feeling a little better. My throat isn't as swollen and sore but its still irritated. The more I talk the more irritated it gets. So Im trying not to talk which is extrememly hard when you've got two kids who don't fully understand that I don't feel good. But in another day or two, the irritation should hopefully be gone as well. Right now it feels like something is stuck in my throat : /

It's still not very cool making you wait for ever, even if they were understaffed and busy.

Thanks, Kim. Yeah, I know. I found out that 2 of the managers are 22 and the other one is 25. I'm older than all 3 managers! And I'm sure 99% of the staff. Thats insane. Is it bad that I'm actually hoping I don't get the job?

Oh Wilda i hope you feel completely better soon! And wow you have quite some patience. I would of left. I know it's not your ideal job but the fact that YOU were so professional about it just shows you have great character. I really believe something better will come along for you just when you least expect it.

P.s. I spent Sunday at my sister's house and when i woke up MOnday i had the worst allergy attack. I was just non stop sneezing and my eyes were burning and watery and it wouldnt go away. SO i took some medicine and it helped alot. Yesterday i was still having all those symptoms though so at night time i took some more medicine and OMG it knocked me out cold. I took the meds at like 8pm and 830 i was out sleeping. It's now 830 am and I still feel sleepy and tired. I just think of the hubby... when he had his allergies he would take TWO of these pills ( i only took one) every 4-5 hours. On top of other allergy medicine and steroids ( all prescribed to by his doctor). I just think how he took all that medication and was awake and still suffering so much. It's crazy.

Thanks Tasha. I'm surprised I managed to stay and managed to stay calm (on the outside at least). A huge part of me thinks I should have just left. Disney should be getting ready to hire again soon and I'm still on their waiting list so *fingers crossed*.

Some people aren't affected by meds like others are. I can take Nyquil or any other meds that cause drowsyness and be wide awake, but if my hubby takes it, like you, he's out cold. Right now this penicilln is keeping me sleepy. Its taking all I am to stay awake. Hope your allergies settle down and you feel better soon Tasha!

Wilda - I feel your pain and annoyance
Got a terrible sore throat. I've been popping so many throat lozenges since last night.
Hoping it goes away by tomorrow because I have a job interview.
I was supposed to get emailed interview info but they neglected to send it to me so I had to email and ask.
It turns out I have to do a skills test. WTF
Its part time and doesn't even pay as much as my current job.
The only reason I applied is because its one of the top 5 international NGOs in the world and I thought that I could make contacts.
Don't know if I want it as much any more.

Tasha: I hope the allergy attack is over.

Wilda: I'll keep my fingers crossed for Disney for you too.

Libby: Good luck with the interview, even if you don't think you want the job anymore. Hope everything works out for you.

Hey guys! How is everyone?

I've got a busy week ahead of me. Going for my driving test on Wednesday morning. 8:30am. I'm super scared and I predict I won't get a lot of sleep over the next few days, so it's probably good that I slept in this morning. My parents 25th anniversary is on Tuesday (yes, I know...Valentine's Day, how romantic ) and my grandparents wanted to take them out for dinner that night, but the Chinese restaurant they wanted to go to isn't open on Tuesdays, so we're going Wednesday instead. And to top it all off I got a part-time job at a friend's clothing store. It's only because she can't work for the next few weeks, but still it's something. But I'm sort of freaking out about that one too. Spent yesterday afternoon training up. It's not too difficult and luckily the store doesn't get that busy, but still it's my first retail job so I'll be a little nervous all week. I don't start until Tuesday though, so another day to prepare.

Hope everyone has a less-hectic week.

Having a seriously hectic week.
This is the last week of my project and I'm writing up the report.
Behind with it cause I was sick. Feeling ok now.
Interview was alright - should find out about it by the end of the week.
Can't wait for this week to be over.
