| They're just books, Rhia.
Delirium is new. It's only been released this year, a dystopia and the second Lauren Oliver novel. Inside Out has been out for a little while, but not in the Australia/New Zealand region. I got a copy last year only because I had it ordered in. But it (and it's sequel) were pretty much released together here last month. Also dytopias.

| Ahhh, that makes sense. I kind of become a "cave monster", as my sister likes to say, whenever I don't think there is anything of interest to do outside of my house, so that explains why I didn't know about those books. Thanks for telling me! The next time I'm at Barnes and Noble I'll check them out!! | |

| Just finished 'Wither' by Lauren Destefano. Wow. Amazing book. I can't wait for the next one. I stupidly read the sequel's blurb on goodreads and now desperately want it, but I have no idea when it's being released in Australia/in papaerback. The copy of 'Wither' I stumbled across was a fluke because its big Aussie release isn't supposed to happen until...wait for it, August. I might have to buy the sequel in hardback online so I can get it when it's released Anyway, rant over. Really good book. Moving onto 'The Language of Flowers'. It's shorter than I thought it was, lots of extra pages at the end, like a glossary of flower meanings, which is pretty cool | |

| Kim: You know when they have previews of the next book in the back. I never read those unless I want to be annoyed until the next book comes out | |

| I don't go out of my way to find the next book's blurb, but if I'm looking up release dates etc. for the next one and there's a passage underneath it, then I'm going to read it. | |

| I like to think that I am above feeling the need to read previews of the next book...until I finish a really good book and I see that it has a preview for the sequel. | |

| Lol, no not almost finished. I'm only like 25 pages into it. So far it's pretty good though I liked Rhine. She was a bit of an odd narrator, her voice is sort of detached. And I guess that's because of the situation she's in. But Chapter 7 (flicking through my book to find out where that is...) Things start to pick up a lot more here. | |

| Ok so I'm about halfway through Wither now. So far it's alright. At times I think I prefer Linden to Gabriel though for the simple fact that Rhine doesn't learn as much about Gabriel. I like Rhine, but I kind of think Jenna would have been a more interesting character to write a story about. And I am so sick to death of that brat Cecily. Anyway, I found books 2 and 3 of the Fever series at the bookstore today. Yay!! I was a bit bummed that I didn't see Dreamfever there as well, but I guess I'll have some time to order it by the time I need it. And oh gosh, I saw the hardcover of Shadowfever... yeah definitely makes me want to wait for the mass market. The bugger is huge!!! But we'll see how I am once I get through Dreamfever. Also picked up My Soul To Take by Rachel Vincent, The Revenant by Sonia Gensler, and Blood Red Road by Moira Young. I hear Blood Red Road is a really good dystopia. | |

| There were times I liked Linden too, but I think that's just because he was there all the time, and he's not as scary as Vaughn.
Yay, I'm glad you found a couple of them. You'll probably want to order dreamfever soon though.
Almost finished The Language of Flowers. Such a good book so far. I'm loving it. It reminds me a lot of Joanne Harris's 'Chocolat'. I can't wait to pass it along to my mum. I know she's going to adore it.

| Kim, how do you like Rachel Vincent? I ask because I picked up the first book in the Soul Screamers series the other day but I don't know a whole lot about it or the author. lol I'm still working my way through Wither. I'm a little more than halfway now. I planned on reading today, but then between going to see Transformers and then going to the store and finally watching fireworks... I didn't read as much as I'd planned. Hopefully I'll be through it within the next day or so. | |

| This is my first Rachel Vincent book. So far I'm really liking it, I'm only 82 pages in though The text is easy to lose yourself in, it's uncomplicated and funny. But the Shifters series is an adult series, so there's probably differences to Soul Screamers. Wilda's read a lot of Rachel's books though, so she might be a better person to ask. I was like that yesterday trying to finished The language of Flowers, but I had a 6 hour break to go to the footy Are you finding you like Wither more now? | |

| We are winners. I don't know about Wither... maybe this book isn't for me. There are some things I like, but mostly I find myself pretty disgusted by it which is annoying because so many people like this book but I can't seem to really get into it. I'm in the middle of chapter 15 right now. I'm hoping the last half of the book will change my mind. | |

| I can understand why you'd be put off it. I know I was disturbed by some parts, just couldn't wrap my mind around it. But that's sort of why I liked it too, because it wasn't straight forward. But it helps that some of the time Rhine is equally as disgusted, so you sort of identify with her. | |

| The Shades are the creepiest thing in the Fever series, and I know they're not really *that* creepy, but the scared the hell out of me! | |

| Finished Raised By Wolves and read its sequel Trial By Fire yesterday. It's a pretty good series.
I have no interest in reading Wither. I hear that its an amazing book, but I just can't get past the whole "sister wives" thing. I started reading a book similar to that concept last year and couldnt finish it.
Rachel Vincent is a great author. I've read all her released books and love every single one of them. Both the Shifters series (one of my fav series) and the Soul Screamers series. I highly reccommend both. I can't wait for Blood Bound the first in a new Adult series to come out in August.
Which Shifters book are you on now Kim?

| I'm up to Prey (#4 for those who don't know the order ). Started it last night, but I'm only like 60 pages in. I adore this series. Thanks so much for your high praise of it Wilda, pushed me into buying it quickly. I'm definitely going to have to get Rachel's other books too. She's an excellent writer. | |
