Wilda: Yeah, My dog's fine now...she seems to have recovered alright. We're keeping an eye on her.

Tasha: Lol! I think it's probably a popular day for weddings really. My parents got married before Valentine's Day was big over here though, otherwise I think they would have avoided the day, they're not big fans of VDay.

weeee!!!!! got some new books for V-day ...i havent read nothing in about a month lol

U know i asked my parents once a while ago if they meant to get married on V-day or was it just the way things worked out. They didn't even bother to answer me LOL. They aren't even big on anniversary dates anyway. Like this year. They were like "oh, it's our anniversary. Lets go play the number." And went to the store and played the date for the day's lotto. Lol.

Lol. My parents buy each other gifts, but it's usually like a bottle or wine or something. nothing too fancy.

quick update on my life. Yesterday took my dad to get a full body scan to see if any caner cells escaped or spread into his system. We'll get the results in a week or two.

Today i took the hubby to the hospital, to see his surgeon. He had is staples removed. But. the surgeon explained his tumor was tricky, they removed almost everything but there could be residual stuff there and he also said the tumor isn't malignant but it isn't benign either. So in two week we go to a Nero-oncologist and then in six weeks we go back to his surgeon. He will need to me monitored for awhile and on anti-seizure meds for a while. But, oddly enough the surgeon lifted all his restrictions and said he can go back to work when he is ready. But that utterly screws us with all the programs and insurance we're applying for. He wont receive any compensation cause the doctor cleared him to go back to work. He isn't even well enough to go back to work yet, he still is recovering and is tired alot. So the hubby was pissed they cleared him so fast. Happy u know. But pissed because he isnt ready to go back to work.

It's just a mess but i think i've sorted things out temporarily at least. Medicaid has everything they need to pay the hospital and surgery bills. It takes 90 days but as long as the pay i dont care. I can start researching and applying different insurance for the hubby....I had my primary doctor write a 6 month prescription and sent it to a program for medical prescription assistance. And since the program takes awhile and they have the 6 month prescription, his surgeon wrote us a month supply prescription. I'm just researching where and how to fill it for cheap. The price for it without insurance, cash value is 300. Which is way more than we can afford. But the social worker gave us some leads. so I'll be spending the day doing that.


AFter this- i feel like i can take a sigh of relief briefly. And sleep. I've been waking up 530 am this whole week to do errands and go to these doctors and stuff. I'm tired.

Such a loooong process. Sorry about everything Tasha. I'm glad he's doing well enough that the dr gave him permission to go back to work even if he doesnt feel like it yet. He still needs his rest and I advise him to relax until he feels up to it. I hope you get all the prescription meds and insurance stuff taken care of. I've been there so I understand.

Tomorrow my mom is coming down. I'm going to get my hair cut, run a few errands, go to my best friends house to pick up some stuff, and then I got a date with the hubby tomorrow night. I wok eup feeling liek crap though. All week, every morning I've woken up worse than the day before. Hopefully I'll be well enough and it won't ruin my weekend.

I told the hubby to take all the time he needs. Actually, I prefer if he didnt go back to work for awhile because

a) i dont think he is ready for that. I see how he is everyday and while i encourage him to have high standards and all that he just isn't ready

. b) Alot of the stuff we are applying for is for low income, real low income. And with his job- he doesn't make that much but he wont qualify for the low income standard with his earning from work. But since at work he was hired as a temp position he doesn't have access to health care , union, benefits or anything. So we NEED medicaid to pick him. We gave them a letter from his surgeon today that he has been out of work and hasn't been back to work -so the medicaid rep said that should approve his medicaid but it still takes 90 days. We already starting receiving bills. The ambulance bill was over 2,400. It was 2,4 something i don't recall the exact amount. But Yeah the medicaid rep said any bills i get just to call and inform them medicaid is pending and dont worry about it, medicaid will pick them when/if he is approved.

But i'm not to worried. Yet. I got his prescription filled. I call every pharmacy i could of think and google had to offer. And in the least suspecting pharmacy, this backwoods place by my house, they had the best offer. 55 bucks to fill his prescriptions. Which is pricey. But compared to 300 everywhere else was asking for... its a deal.

woke up sick... .... i barely got my kid to school... and don't even mention work.. everything was on slow motion.. the doctor (my boss) give me some meds to get me fix... he said he couldn't afford me home sick lol...

I'm glad things are working out for you guys Tasha. I know how much of a relief it must be.

Thanks Wilda. I had a dream about you! Weird I know. But for some reason we were on an adventure trying to get home across country. LOL. Might have something to do with watching Due Date two nights ago and using SB right before going to sleep ? Idk. But it was funny. lol. Hope your feeling better and get to enjoy you date with your husband!

I'm trying really hard to be happy and upbeat today. I wanted to sleep alll morning and afternoon and catch up on sleep. But my radiator woke me up 750am. But I'm staying positive and using the time to slowly drink a cup of tea and catch up around here on the site. :-)
