And Kim, i hope everything works out with your grandma. And about nursing homes, its tough to put a loved one in those places, but not all of them are bad. My dad was in a nursing home after his heart attack. He received the care and treatment and rehabilitation he needed that we just couldn't provide at home. Sometimes its for the best medically speaking. And God forbid something were to happen, help can get to them faster. I know thats part of my problem now. I sleep with my phone in my hand or close by. I'm so anxious the bf will go into a seizure or something will happen and i'm a not a doctor you know? So i'm anxious and on edge 80% of the time ready with my cell phone to call 911. Atleast when he was in the hospital i knew he was surrounded by medical professionals.

That's sort of what my mum keeps saying too. She reckons she'd be better in a place that's suited to helping her. But my aunty's stubborn, so I don't think it's going to happen any time soon.

Kim, how's your grandmother doing?

As far as I know she's doing alright. My mum's with her at the moment, staying with my aunty, so she hasn't been able to tell us anything new...but if something bad happened she would have told my dad or me this morning on the phone, but she didn't so I'm taking that as a "not much has changed" thing.

Well, at least the good news is that nothing bad has happened!! *fingers crossed she gets better*

Personal essay? I lovedddddddd writing those. Gosh i can be so conceited sometimes. lol . I had tons of fun writing about myself. I had to do a ton of those because my high school was big on those and sending them to colleges with college applications. I even included a poem i wrote in one. My advice for writing anything in general, is to just free write. Just write and write. Dont look at the time. Don't think about formats or specifics. Just write and write, ramble and branch off. When you finish with the free write you'll have tons of material u can then just edit and format and add to and all that good stuff.

I am the complete opposite Tasha. I can write about anything except myself. I draw a blank when it comes to me.

Ash, I agree with Tasha. Just don't think about it and just write. GL with it. I'm sure you'll do just fine.

Kim, I also asgree that no bad news is good news. I hope she continues to get better.

I am actually one of the wierd people who like essays... if I enjoy the subject... like I had to do an essay on Thomas Hardy and he has many great books. Tess of the D'ubervilles is one of them. I found his life very interesting and his books so I had no issues writing an almost 12 page paper about him. I got the highest grade in the class

Tasha & Wilda: Well, mum's coming home today, so we'll get all the goss on my nan later. She hasn't been saying much on the phone because it's hard to give a heaps big update with everyone around her. But still, nothing major new.

Sam: I liked writing some essays. Sometimes I'd find a history topic I REALLY enjoyed and the essay would just flow. One of the last essays I wrote though I had heaps of trouble on, nothing seemed to be working out for me, but apparently my tutor didn't think it was all that bad because I got 95% for it, so all smiles from me

Looks like she's doing fine. We're going to put her in a nursing home though, the one near my aunty is pretty decent, so that'll happen sometime this week

Well...am currently planning a revenge against one of my friends who lives in South Wales (I live in the North of Wales)...after the humiliation she's put me through today (Wilda...the bit where I said when I was on tv)...

long story short...

when I was 10/11 years old, I went to Cardiff (Wales capital city) and a lot of Jones' around the world went there to break the world record of how many could you get to the same place at the same time with the same surname...well, the concert was called Jones Jones Jones as everyone there to be part of the record breaking had to have the surname Jones (as it hints in the title lol)....and then a Welsh (speaker as well) came onto the stage, he had the chance to win money for a sports team of his or to give a prize to a family in the audience (which is my folks, myself and my younger brother)...he gave the prize to us, and the it was 4 tickets for each night of a festival we have here (not anymore) every summer holiday...well, when they announced that we were the family, we had to stand up and wave...well, what a fool i made of myself! now my friend has gone and made her status on FB and tagged me in it (which i accidently un-tagged myself in lol) so i must get her back for this...if you've got any ideas on a sweet revenge, please tell me, thanks

This morning has been pretty cool so far. I volunteer at a small private school and when I arrived this morning there were some people putting up a hot air balloon in the grassy area by the school. The kids all came out to watch it go up. When they were inflating the balloon some of the fire burned part of the balloony material but luckily it wouldn't set them back. It was so neat to watch the couple take off!! lol They waved down at us as they floated away. lol I thought it was such a sweet idea for Valentine's Day. Lucky girl.

I keep forgetting you are practically a day ahead of the rest of us Kim. Hope you had a good Vday.

I had a really great Vday. My hubby took off work early and went and picked my daughter up from school. We went to Gatorland. As long as I've lived in Fl, I've never been. It was great. Would have been better if half the park wasn't closed down due to construction, but it was fun. I got to pet an alligator and my daughter got to take a picture holding one with a snake around her too. My son screamed when we put him up there to be in the picture so he wasn't in it.
