| No theories, I only hope she finds Ky. It'd be a lot more dramatic if she doesn't find him for a book, but I doubt that'd make people all that happy. | |

| yeah I agree. It'd be hell to make her go through a whole book looking for him only to not find him. Most likely she'll find him towards the end of the book.

| Finished 'Forgive my Fins' last night. Loved it. The main girl got a little annoying in the middle of the novel, but she made up for it in the end. Adored the love interest.
Reading 'Tomorrow When the War Began' now.

| I haven't read The Girl With The Drago Tattoo. It doesn't sound like my kind of book, but I have heard really good reviews of it which kinda makes me want to read it. They have also made all 3 books into movies but I haven't seen them. Let me know if it's good Christy. | |

| Christy, I haven't read it but my mum just finished reading it the other day. She said it's hard to get into at first...the first 60 pgs or so and full of introductory stuff that drags on a bit, but is essential to the story. Once you get over that, she said it was AMAZING! We couldn't talk to her for days because she wouldn't put down the book (Slight exaggeration, but still true, she found it really hard to put down). So a good book then, I trust my mum's opinions, she has good taste in books | |

| The Millenium books are really good. I thought the first one, the girl with the dragon tattoo was the best with the murder mystery thing. Book 2 and 3 were still good though. Its definitely not aimed for the young adult market though. | |

| Currently reading: Glass Houses (Morganville #1), Rachel Caine I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far. I know it's been out in the US for a while, but Australia only just got the rights a few months ago. | |

| I just finished The Lost saint by Bree Despain (Dark Divine 2). OMG the ending! AHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Idk how long I'll have to wait for book 3 assuming there even is a book 3. But with that ending, I don't see how there can't be a book 3. *sigh* the wait is going to drive me crazy. Specially considering TLS just came out Dec. 28, 2010... The Demon Trapper's Daughter by Jana Oliver is next | |

What ages is it appropriate for? My teacher recommended it, she said that her son loves it (he's 18) and I think it must be pretty good, since she doesn't ike modern literature that much.... Oh, and I'm 16... (:

The Demon Trapper's Daughter by Jana Oliver is next What are the dark divine books about? The Dark Divine synopsis: Grace Divine - daughter of the local pastor - always knew something terrible happened the night Daniel Kalbi disappeared and her brother Jude came home covered in his own blood. Now that Daniel's returned, Grace must choose between her growing attraction to him and her loyalty to her brother. As Grace gets closer to Daniel, she learns the truth about that mysterious night and how to save the ones she loves, but it might cost her the one thing she cherishes most: her soul. I read this early last year and absolutely loved it!! I've got book 2 now and can't wait to start reading.

Yep. lol What YA book nowadays isn't about something supernatural? However, I probably shouldn't tell you what supernatural entities are in the book because it's really something you should discover at the same time as Grace. However, it's pretty simple to figure out once you get into the story.

| FINALLY finished Nevermore tonight. I thought it was pretty good, though it got a bit tedious and confusing towards the end. All in all, I'm looking forward to book 2. I think I enjoyed it more in hindsight than while I was actually reading it. Also, the way the author created her own world/mythology from Poe was quite interesting and cool. I really liked the characters, Isobel and Varen. They don't fall in love as soon as they get thrown together. Actually, they don't get along at all at the beginning which is kind of refreshing, and it's really enjoyable to see the (gradual) switch in the both of them. I found this on Kelly Creagh's website and thought it was pretty interesting: - Quote :
- I started writing Nevermore in late fall of 2005. In the beginning, I had a cheerleader and a goth and the thought of throwing them together for an English project to watch the sparks fly. At this point, Poe was in the back seat. I thought that, of course, my goth guy would pick the focus of the project. Poe seemed an obvious choice and, since I also wanted there to be supernatural elements to the story, I went with it. So I started researching Poe on a surface level, just getting the general facts. At the time, I was more concerned about the drama developing between my lead characters. Then the weirdness set in. I was startled by all of the strangeness and mystery surrounding Poe's death. I began to notice a trend in his writing--that he mentioned dreams and dreaming constantly in his works. His poetry began to read like riddles to me, and I started to develop my own otherworldly "what if?" scenarios about his fate. Isobel and Varen's story began to change and morph. Poe pushed to the forefront, commanding attention. I immersed myself in Poe's fiction, listening to his stories on audio and then reading them again and again. I also learned about the mysterious figure known as "The Poe Toaster" and soon, I had all of these pieces to a complex Poe puzzle. Then, when those pieces all started to fit together with what I was already doing, I got really really excited and, at the same time, really really creeped out! (In a good way.)
