SB First chapter

But the strigoi aren't likely to just take a bite here and there. They feel treatened by human existance and they'd more than likely keep drinking. I don't think many of them have the patience to keep human spies. Perhaps I'm wrong, though.

I think they are just like any villain.. they might not like to.. but they technically can. Like Issah ( hope i spelled that right) , he kept prisoners. I think the older Strigoi have a little patience for spies , but definitely not the new ones.. but Dimitri just isn't a regular ol' strigoi lol.

Yeah, I guess that's true. And Dimitri does know the lay-out/people of the academy very well, so it'd be easy enough for him to make contact of some sort.

There's a question for us all though. Where do they house the feeders when they're off rotation? do they have their own building where they watch tv etc. or are they kept outside the academy?

o o o o good question.. if they are house outside.. that makes my theory ALOT more plausible ...lol

Yeah, because I find it hard to believe he'd be able to make contact with the feeders. If they're in a secret location away from family and friend's etc. it's not like it'd go unnoticed if they got letters/notes from somewhere outside the academy. (or inside the academy for that matter...they're not treated too well)

I want to believe the best in the guardians, but that;s a pretty good theory really.

I like the thought of Alice being a spy. She knew the strigoi were out there waiting to get in, in SK. It would be great because the feeders gossip and know alot about the vampire races. Also no one would suspect that. A guardian would be cool to but I just don't see stan or emil or any former mentioned guardians doing that. They are guardians, they have an oath. That would be cool to. Either way there is a spy and deceit going on inside the Academy. But who? Colonel Mustard in the science lab with a stake?.................................... dun, dun. dun!

I've actually linked the first chapter at RM's website to my signature. Easy access.

I didn't expect her to break her tradition, but I guess with it already being out and probably being leaked heaps online it was only a matter of time before she put it up early.

Yeah actually they've updated the VA American site recently and now have SB in the books section and the first chapter and synopsis are up. They've also released the official SB wallpaper (sans "Coming 18th May" at the bottom).

I guess it just makes sense for her to put it up on her website since it's everywhere else. Though it saddens me a bit since it's like she can't control it anymore. At least before the fans were able to get excited again a month before a book's release when she would put the first chapter on her website. Now... notsomuch.

it wasn't leaked it was placed at the end of the book blood promise. but it looks like a really good book

Actually it *was* leaked online. Neither Richelle Mead nor Razorbill authorized for Spirit Bound's first chapter to be available online. It was exclusively available in the signature hardcover edition of Vampire Academy back in November. But some idiots copied the entire first chapter and uploaded it online without permission.

okay i didn't know that, all i knew was that it was placed in the back of blood promise.
