| the weather here is all wacked. It snowed two weeks ago. Then it was in the 70s and 80s. Then it was in the 40s. Yesterday it was 60 something. Now today it's raining. I don't mind extreme weather ( hot, cold, rain) but when its consistent. I wake up everyday have absolutely no clue what to expect outside.
how is everyone doing? | |

| Oh my, sounds like someone is playing with the weather in NY. The most extreme we got was cold one day then hot the next.
I'm doing good. Not much to report other than I had an interview at Disney World this morning. I didn't get the job cause I don't have enough experience in that department, but the lady was the best. She made me feel super comfortable and we carried on a conversation like it wasn't an interview. She loved my attitude and if she had a possistion available, she would have hired me right there. But she put down my strengths and put me at the top of the list for when a possistion becomes available. She also told me considering I'm available any time any day of the week that I should hear something soon. She gave me a major boosts of confidence and I hope she didn't get my hopes up for nothing.

| Libby, yes it is, in 4 days. I'm excited cause more people are home next week ( thursday which is thanksgiving , friday and then the weekend) so i get help with Bianca .
I keep telling my parents we need a gate for the stairs so my dog doesnt run outside... cause we cant leave her home without it. The hubby goes back to the hospital to discuss/start treatment again in two weeks or so ( dec 7th) ... and she needs time to be trained to get used to the gate. But, it's looking like we're going to have to get a dog sitter or something cause my dad has a doctor's appointment the same day and I dont have the money to buy a gate or else i would of bought it along time ago.
Things have been real quiet on this site. Makes me sad to log in and see "no new topics". I'll try to post more often in different topics!

| Me too Tasha. I log on at least once a day but nothing is really being said : / Walmart down here has a $10 gate in the baby section. it's what we're using. My son broke the first one but so far the second one has lasted 5 months now.

| Dad cut most of the wood for my shelves yesterday. But we ran out of wood and brackets, so only 3/4 are cut. Still got to lacquer them though. Dad told me I'd get to start doing that today, but then he changed his mind because he doesn't have the right lacquer at the moment. I miss having my books in my room, but at least everything is moving forwards, just slowly.
I've got a dentist appointed in about 40 minutes. Nothing wrong (hopefully) just a regular check-up. I hope it won't take too long because I hate going to the dentist.
Hope everyone's having a good day.

| Thanks Wilda! It didnt even occur to me to look for a baby gate! I was looking on Walmart.com but in the pets section and even there it was a little pricey. BUt duh, a baby gate. Same purpose. I found one on Walmart for 13 bucks which is affordable. I want to order it but i dont trust shipping to get here in time.
Edit, Kim i didnt see your comment there. Hope the dentist goes well! Oh so exciting, Hope the shelves come out well and it's made quickly so you can get your books back :-)

| Tasha: Dentist went really well, no issues for me *dances* Yeah, I hope we get the shelves done soon too. I'm going to my sister's place on Sunday for a week, so maybe my dad will get a heap of it done while I'm away, because it doesn't look like we'll do a lot this week. | |

| Kim-YAY for healthy teeth Hope you have fun when you go to your sister's! Wish i was as close to my sisters as you are with yours. Tahsa, I don't blame you not trusting walmart shipping. If possibile, it'd be best to just go to the store imo. Or maybe site to store? I haven't done that so Idk how well it works out but I hear you get it quicker that way. | |

| Kim , hope you have a blast with your sister. I'm not close with my sister, or even my brother and we live in the same house. I miss having close siblings. But, atleast i make up for it with you all here. My cyber sisters!
Wilda- I know tons of people who have NO problem with the site to store. But i went with my cousin once who ordered some stuff site to store and our closest store is just terrible. They literally have piles of piles of boxes and they have to hunt for it when you go in to get your stuff. And My cousin's stuff went missing. And once i went with here and they had to evacuate the store. It was just ridiculous. But for a baby gate? When you order site to store they just pull what they have off the shelves in the store and they should have that at the store so it shouldn't be a problem. But, i dont have a car so i can't even get to the closest walmart. But, maybe i'll talk my brother into driving me this weekend, since they have extra days off this week he might go for it.
I've been having a terrible time catching my level. Just can't shake this sickness. It's MUCH better but just lingering and being a pain.

| I'm lucky with my sisters, they both like me Sure, they like each other, but they don't get along much. It's always a worry when they're left alone because you wonder if they'll make it out alive. I don't know what it is with those two, but for years they just haven't got along. Wow, your walmart sounds insane Tasha. I hope you're able to get the gate though. | |

| What the hell? That's ridiculous! If they stuffed up, why do you have to be the one to keep in touch with b&n? I hope you don't have to chase it up too much further Wilda and that you get your books son.
I won a copy of The Pledge a week and a half ago and I worry about it turning up. It's being sent via The Book Depository, which isn't really the part I worry about, but the fact that I only know when it was ordered, not when it was sent...so I can't work out the day it might arrive. If it's not here on Friday I'll have to email the blogger and tell her it hasn't arrive yet and hope it'll all get sorted out soon, and I hope it won't be a big issue while I'm at my sister's place. Sure she has the internet and if I was having an issue she'd be fine with me using it, but since I won't be home I hope the post-office isn't holding onto the book and waiting to give me a "final notice" letter when it'll be my first notice letter. Ugh, I hate when they do that, tell me I've got like 2 days to pick up the parcel or they'll send it back when I haven't been told it's there in the first place. I'd gladly go pick it up the day it arrives if they'd just tell me!

| Ugh, thats so ridiculous Kim. I hate when places do that. I've never had a problem with the postal nor Ups but this mishap has definitely put me on edge with any delivery service. I saw Shatter Me in the store a little while ago and I got pissed off all over again cause I really want my books. Sure I didn't pay much for them $22.24 for both books with free 3 days shipping with my B&N membership which I pay for yearly. At this point though I just want my package with both books unharmed in it *sigh*

| I really hope it gets sorted out for you soon. I'd want my books to arrive unharmed too. I'm never sure how my books will turn up. Usually they're unharmed, but it's odd the way they get delivered. Sometimes it's an actual knock-on-the-door-here's-your-package delivery, but mostly my Book Depository packages come in the regular mail. Because we live close-ish to the post office (15 minute walk, which is fairly close) door-deliveries usually come early in the morning, so I probably won't be getting any of them today since it's 10:20 already...but the postman still has to come so there's a chance it'll turn up today *fingers crossed* (I now have the Postman Pat theme song in my head...a British cartoon that used to play over here, in case you have no idea what Postman Pat is ) | |

| Also waiting on books from the book depo. Sweep vol 3 n 4. Usually it takes a week after dispatch. If it doesn't come tomorrow I'll start worrying.
Just watched X-Men first class. Seemed weird having Kennedy in it. Especially cause I'm watching the series at the moment.

| Kim, i couldn't help but laugh when reading this bit you wrote
"What the hell? That's ridiculous! If they stuffed up, why do you have to be the one to keep in touch with b&n? I hope you don't have to chase it up too much further Wilda and that you get your books son."
... cause of the typo " son". I know you meant soon. But, I'm around slang alot so at first i thought you were using it on purpose lol.
Wilda, I hope things get sorted out with your books!
I'm fussy with deliveries. Especially UPS. Cause they tend to just leave the packages on the front porch and not even ring the doorbell. And also sometimes i'm home all day, door bell never rings, and i go to check the front and see the missed delivery slip there. It's utter bull. We've been having a problem with our UPS people. The online tracking would say delivered. But we didn't get any packages. Then it would show up in a day or two. WE think cause the UPS around us have new regulations. They drivers arent allowed to go back to the base with anything on the truck. So we think they are saying they delivered it, and saving it for the next day. I wish we could choose our preference. The post man is really good, it just takes longer when its being delivered by the post office. Fedex is great. I like them alot but only certain stores use that service.

| I haven't heard anything about my books I'm going to give them until monday cause of the holiday and Black Friday and all. So i'll call B&N on monday to see fi they have heard anything and if they haven't, I'll call UPS back and raise hell cause if they havent found my package by then then they need to replace my order. Speaking of books, I need to order Vol 2 of the Sweep series. Still have to read The Coven before we start book 3. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates and if you don't, I hope you have a great day tomorrow anyway | |
