| Thank you loves <3
Libby- happy belated birthday! Hope when you finally have time to celebrate, you'll have a great time!
Wilda, i'm so happy ur hubby is staying with you on ya'll anniversary! YAY
And A Walk to Remember! I love that movie! Its one of my favorite movies. I kind of always hated the ending though, because i read the book first and the in the book the ending is different. So when i watched the movie i was like "what. is . going. on." ...lol.
So i had a sick day today. But it was kind of nice. Lay in bed and watch TV. It would of been perfect minus the sick part. I'm actually making myself sick. Not on purpose. But all the stress and worry, whenever i start feeling anxious or stressed or worried, it manifests in something physically sick. I'm trying to cope better and find a way to deal. I dont do it on purpose but its like after so much for awhile, its what my body decided to start doing. eyeroll.
The hubby has been very sick, which isnt making things easier. He didnt eat yesterday, except a couple of forks from his dinner and beverages. Today he didnt eat anything at all, just beverages. He said he's in too much pain that's why he doesn't have an appetite.
And my mother fell at work today. She is okay. But she got a big knot on her forehead. She said she is more embarrassed than anything else.

| Tasha: I've never read the book for A Walk to Remember. I was always tempted to read it or other Nicholas Sparks books (especially The Notebook), but since I watched the movies first I know I'll have the characters faces and voices in my head, and that's almost as bad as reading the book first and being confused by the movies. It's a tough choice to make I hope you're feeling better today, that your hubby is eating again (because he needs to keep his stength up) and that your mum is ok. *hugs* | |

| Tasha - hope you and your hubby are doing better today.
Seen the notebook and dear john but thats the extent of my nicolas sparks experience. Want to see a walk to remember heard good things about it.
Finally had a fantastic birthday celebration. It had 4 phases. Lunch at a restaurant, cake at a cafe, hanging out at the Rugby world cup fan zone, checking out this new development that's opened at the waterfront.
Kim - are you watching the RWC games or the NRL finals?

| Libby: Glad you had good time celebrating your brithday. I'm watching NRL, and supporting the Warriors in the final. Can't stand Manly, so I really hope they lose I haven't got into Rugby Union, I know league is similar at times, but I'll stick with one version of footy for now | |

| Libby-Glad you had a great birthday celebration Tasha- Hope you get better soon and that your hubby starts eating again. Like Kim said, he needs the strength. Hope your mom is okay! I fell the other day while walking the pup at the park. he decided to pull me through some tall thick grass and I tripped over a big rock. Luckily no one saw me fall but that didn't stop me from being embarrassed lol. The only Nickolas Sparks book I've read is The Notebook. It was good, but being that I saw the movie first, I like the movie better. Today the hubby and I have been married for 6 years. It feels like its been a lot longer than that though. | |

| That sounds like a great day to me Kim! It was sunny again today but a bit cooler. I LOVE this kind of weather. I turned the ac off and opened all the windows. Fall is soooo refreshing imo. I just wish this weather would last longer than a couple of days. Today I turned the music up and cleaned while my hubby took the kids bike riding. Then I sat down and watched the Cowboys/Lions football game. My team (Cowboys-been a fan since I was 9) was doing SO good until the 3rd quarter. They lost at the last minute 34-30 | |

| I feel like I should be doing homework but... I don't have any. I guess I could read from my psych book. I have another test on Monday. Seriously, what's with tests every two weeks? This is ridiculous. On the bright side, I got some new earphones today. One of my earbuds decided it didn't want to have music playing through it, but I've put off getting new ones for a few weeks. Finally got around to getting some tonight. Anyway, I hope everyone is well. Sorry your teams lost Wilda and Kim. | |

| Far out that's a lot of testing...what's wrong with learning for like 10 weeks and then doing a massive test at the end? That's what we did most of the time (in high school and university)
I watched about 6 episodes of iCarly in a row today....they were having a marathon, but I missed a few of them. I forgot how much I loved iCarly.

| First a gator was looking at my kids like they were dinner then my mom found a freak giant black snake on my back porch a few minutes ago! WTF is going on here?! About the gator: We were up at the clubhouse in my subdivision playing tennis when my daughter spotted a gator out in the lake. ok, no big deal. Not the first we've seen. Then the kids wanted to go to the playground which is right beside the tennis court so we let them go cause we were right there. Then my hubby happens to notice the gator had changed directions and was now swimming towards the shore right at the playground. The playground isn't enclosed. So I flipped out. We grabbed the tennis stuff and ran to the playground. My hubby then walks right up to the shore. He likes to think of it as brave, but I think of it as EXTREMELY DUMB. Anyways the kids were swinging and the gator went under water. So my hubby told me to let themplay a little longer and he went to return the tennis stuff at the office. About 10 minutes later while i'm pushing my son, the gator popped back up and he was maybe 5 feet from the shore. I froze. Told my kids to be still and be quiet and eventually he swam on. I guess he was attracted to all the noise the kids were making. All I know is that it scared the hell out of me. Then about 15 mins ago I heard my mom yell followed by the sliding glass door slamming. I was wtf. Then my mom yelled there's a snake on the porch! My first thought where's my dog?! (My son was in the living room with me). But she said I got him in a really shaky voice. She went out there to smoke cause I don't allow smoking in my house and the dog goes out there with her a lot and she said she saw somethig out the corner of her eye slither by the freezer and then my puppy darted after it but she caught him and then saw the tail and how big the snake was and came running inside. I called my hubby but he's at work and won't be able to come home til tonight. I freakin hate snakes. And Gators (I have nightmares about them). And spiders. But spiders I can handle. Snakes I can not. It's only Tuesday and so far I have faced a gator and a snake. I hate to see what the rest of the week brings O.O

| Hey ladies!
Libby- good luck with the 2,000 words!
Ash- Lol i did the same, when my headphones stopped working. Then finally the hubby bought a new pair so i started using his old ones. lol
Kim- I'm laughing that you said "Far Out"....I haven't heard that phase in SO long. It put a smile on my face to read it :-)
About the testing- in my college classes we had way too many tests and assignments. I had one grueling class, it was 3 days a week. We had homework everyday. A quiz once a week. A test every other week. Plus, midterm and final. It was ridiculous. I'm still mad at that class too. I got a C+.... yeah i was the only one who submitted EVERY homework assignment. Showed up to mostly every class. This was the time my dad had his heart attack so i missed a few classes but he said he wouldn't hold it against me but he did and lowered my grade for that. The class started off with almost 30 people and ended with literally 7 including myself. He was that bad of a teacher.
Wilda- OMG. I hope your wildlife adventures are finally over. I can stay calm and collected in alot of situations, but through a creepy crawly or a creature into the mix and i loose my head. lol. And LOL i just commented on ur status on FB and then came here, and I'm laughing at your hubby cause that's exactly what mine would do. LOL. Men...smh.
EDIT: I forgot to mention. The hubby had his MRI appointment and oncologist appointment today. We both decided before we went in that we were going to terminate his treatment. We were comfortable with that decision because his cancer is in remission and stable in that state and he just gets too sick with treatment and then plus he developed an allergy to it. His oncologist was very insistent that terminating treatment will be extremely bad and enable his cancer to come back sooner rather than later and there is already a short time frame of his cancer being in remission. But she did agree he is too sick to go forward with anything right now and needs time for his body to recover. So we have two months off from all treatment, except his daily seizure medication, In two months he goes for another MRI ( she was very pleased with the one he had today and his blood work was really good too). Then we will discuss the next step of treatment. She explained to us the alternative to the treatment he is on now is a combination of 3 medications... one of them an IV infusion. But the side affects from these medications are extreme and even run a risk of allergic reactions as well. So it' confusing and difficult but we have time to do our research and cope and make decisions.

| Wilda: Wow, that's one crazy day. It's scary thinking you were that close to an alligator...crazy thinking you're semi-comfotable with the fact that you've seen then before too. I've never seen an alligator before, I've seen a couple of crocodiles though, but we were on a crocodile-hunting boat trip at the time, so we sort of wanted to see them. Spooky about the snake too. I hate the idea of snakes *shudders* I hope it doesn't bother your family.
Tasha: lol, I say 'far out' all the time, but I was having a discussion about it with Ash a few weeks ago because we sort of had different menaings for it. I mean, I know in the 70s 'Far Out' meant cool and I guess I still use it that way sometimes, but mostly it's my default for crazy situations when "OMG" doesn't quite cover it and "F**k" is too extreme. I'm glad you hubby is going to be to rest a bit, and that his MRI was good. I hope he's doing alright.
Ugh, I'm annoyed at my body, I've done something to hurt my back and chest in the last couple of days (probably slept awkwardly, but can't be sure) and it hasn't got better yet. I was just about to say that I can't find a good way to lie down without hurting, but I just decided to lie on my tummy on the bed and suddenly nothing's hurting, so I might stay like this for a little while. yay, relief.
Hope everyone is well. | |

| I hope you feel better soon. I'm constantly getting new aches and pains from sleeping wrong. As for the gators, I see them a lot cause I live in Florida and this is known gator territory. They are EVERYWHERE. Its rare you'll find a lake here that isn't home to at least one gator. Tasha-I'm glad the MRI was good but it sucks that your hubby isn't getting what he wants. At least he's getting a much needed/deserved break. Hopefully you guys will find a suitable alternative for treatment. I just received a freakin Juror summons for November 8th. The day after my birthday (limits my celebration a bit) Last time I got out of it cause my daughter was under 6 and I wasn't working. I have the same excuse with my son but apparently here thats an optional excuse and they provide daycare during the time. But I've decided to just go and not worry about trying to get out of it this time. My mom can keep my son so I really have no excuse. Plus I am curious how it all works. But seriously, whats the odds that a lot of people will go their entire life without getting a summons yet I've gotten 2 in less than 6 years? | |

| Thanks Loves :-)
Wilda- once you respond to a summons, they are persistent . They got my name when i registered to vote. I ignored a million of the questionnaires and then i actually opened one and it was a delinquent notice and it freaked me out. SO i filled it out and mailed and literally a week later i got a summons for jury duty. Since i finished school, i couldnt use school as the excuse and it was before my dad was sick again. So i just went. What i found out is , if they mark you as absent they just send you another summons. If you go to get excused you buy yourself six months before they send you another summons. But in NY atleast if you serve you are good for 7 years. .... its really really long but i sat in the front so i heard all the excuses people tried to make to get out of jury duty. It was so funny. I read alot too. Once your in a group the group is taken into court and the jurors an alternates are picked from the group and questioned by the judge. But the whole group has to stay cause sometimes they dismiss some people and pick different people from the group. For a person like me it wasnt too bad. It was entertaining. I didnt get picked to serve so it was only two days for me. I was worried about being picked, i would not mind a day court case but there is some cases that go on for weeks and weeks and i cant do that. But even if you get selected for to be a juror , when the judge questions you , just say you are wife and mother and you most like wouldn't be selected for any actual case unless its a day court case thing. They are real sensitive to who they pick because once they start in court, they cant change jurors and stuff so they consider a million things before actually selecting someone.

| Wilda: The same thing happen to my Dad (sort of) He got called up but couldn't serve because it was around the time of the final exams and he's a teacher and they couldn't pull him out of work if it would mean screwing up kids futures. Then the following year he got called up at the exact same time as the first one. He got out of it again, but it was sort of ridiculous.

| Ugh. I feel like crap today. I only went to my morning classes and instead of going to psych I slept. I felt much better but still sluggish and tired.
Wilda, jury summons are annoying but it's probably better to just go if you don't have a legitimate excuse not to. I know that here in TX they take it pretty seriously and the penalties are not fun. Also, they can't summon you again for a long time whether you're picked or not. They get your names from both the DMV and also after you vote. I got summoned last year and went. It really sucked because the night before my dachshund was having back pain so we had to take him to an emergency vet and didn't leave until after midnight. Had to be at the courthouse at 8 am. Ugh. But yeah, basically you show up and well, they made us watch a video. I was called for the first panel and had to wait around for like 6 hours until we could go in and discuss ethics with a judge present and that sort of gives you an idea what the case is about. I thought it was pretty interesting but ultimately I didn't get picked for the jury. I don't remember even talking during the whole thing. lol Though I was pretty tired since I didn't get very much sleep the night before and I was there from 8 am to like 6 pm. For us it was mostly whoever was willing to participate in the discussions (giving their opinions on situations and displaying whether they're open-minded), and many of those participating people were the ones picked as jurors.

| I don't mind going. I just hate the fact that it'll probably take all day and because I'm a Mom I most likely won't get chosen so it'll basically be for nothing. Thats the part that bugs me the most. I'll just go and read while I wait and just get it over with.
Hope you feel better soon Ash!

| Hope your feeling better by now Ash
Hey everyone! I hope everyone is doing okay.
I've been super tired all week and borderline sick. Then i spent 3 days in a row trying to shop for my brother. It's his birthday tomorrow. Today while at the mall, I had to wait over an hour for a friend to show up. SO i sat outside and read. It was peaceful and felt good. It's the first time i left the hubby alone for long, for a non dad's doctor thing or errands locally. I was a lil nervous about it , but he's been doing good, especially since he is on a break from treatment. While I was out, drama happened at me house. Remember that relative I told ya'll about( pretty sure i vented about it here to you all), who showed up drunk at my house and was starting trouble a few weeks ago? Well, he came back today. And my brother was outside and apparently my brother turned tough out of no where and handled the situation. I was happy I wasn't home to be around drama for once.
I'm super excited, next weekend there is a big street fair on the avenue. I love fairs. Funnel cake. Fried goodness. All the different foods and stands. Stock up on some beaded jewelry and accessories. I hope the weather is nice next weekend. :-)
