Well guess what...Richelle has announced that she has sold rights for a VA movie! Yep my fears are coming true I'm excited btu extremely scared at the same time. Blah check out Richelle's facebook or website for the details. How does everyone feel about this?

she should hold a csating contest on her website where we all offer our suggestions and turn it into a poll. I don't know though because if theres going to be a movie hope the are meticulous about the screen write and the actors and actresses. I will always LOVE the books the best no matter what, but if it can be done right i could LIKE the movies as well. Anything would be better then twilight crap. I sometimes wish they'd remake Anne Rice's movies with all the modern technology.

Gerard is wayyyyy too old to play Dimitri. not to mention he really doesn't look anything like Dimitri imo. I'm pretty nervous about VA being turned into a movie. I lvoe the twilight movies. It's what got me into the books which got to me read VA but I don't want VA to be turned into another tween crazed series. I can't stand the screaming and crying and all that bs that comes along with Twilight. I will always love VA and a movie is great news for Richelle but I just don't think anyone can pull it off to my liking.

Actually, Jacqueline Macinnes Wood is how I picture Rose. Not sure if she could play her though because she's a soap oera star. But without makeup, she's really pretty.

I rather lik that idea. Gaspard now looks so different from how he used to. He'd be hott as Dimitri.

well for dimitri i see ben barnes . he sorta kinda fits me dimtri but not alot. rose i have no clue .

Hardly any decent Rose suggestions on Facebook. I'm thinking its going to be really hard to find someone who pull her of.

I can't think of anyone to play Rose, not the looks nor the acting. It won't be easy to find someone who suits the role. Maybe someone new.
As for the Dimitri, I really hope they get Ben Barnes. He suits the description, he's a good actor and he has experience with the Russian accent as well as the fighting scenes.

She isn't exactly an actress yet, but I heard some where that she wanted to be casted for a role in Wonder Woman, so why not as a bad ass dhampir in VA?

I think Taylor Kitsch could make a good Dimitri. Gaspard Ulliel is exactly how I pictured Christian so he I hope he gets cast in that role.

He's not exactly how I imagined Christian (what are the chances of finding a perfect person for each role, anyway?) but I could see him playing the role.

I thought we already agreed that Ben Barnes was a definite NO as Dimka...Check the earlier pages people! I don't think lights has enough of that middle eastern look that Rose has got. I do like Gaspard as he looks now ass Dimka... But I agree that I think Dimka would best be played by a newbie cast from auditions. Who ever plays him has to at least play him like the God he is. If not, then I'm not gonna bother with the movies. I seriously hope that the movies don't turn this series into a fan craze like the twilight movies did. VA still has a fairly small fan base, at least when compared to things like twilight, harry potter, etc, and I like it that way. I like having it as something only me and a few of my friends know about. It would ruin a LOT of our inside jokes about it if everyone knew the story line.
