As much as I love these books . I don't want them in a movie

here here! I feel like if they made them into movies the same or a similar thing would happen as did with twilight, where all these crazy people who don't read the books go out and become obsessed with a suckish movie that doesn't even begin to compare to the book and then ends up unrightfully winning tons of awards at the MTV movie awards that it soooo didn't deserve it for ruining a perfectly amazing book...when reallllllly other more amazing movies (slumdog millionaire) should have won. But I guess that is more an issue I have with the teeny-bopper voters in America, no wonder they make people wait until they are 18 to vote on important things. Jeesh.

I'm glad there are other people out there who feel the same way. As much as having a movie would been a praise for Vampire Academy's success and such; I really don't want it to be like Twilight. I'd rather keep my images of VA within the written world only.

But like Hanner said, it'd be nice to see who people will cast. I'd give ideas/opinions myself but I have a hard time matching characters to Actors because I don't like settling my image of certain people, I like thinking that they're all my own

Yes. I love Twilight , but now I can't stand it! I hate what it has become! I dont VA to be like that! . Besides! we all have these images of the characters in our minds and EVERYBODY has their very own image of them and if they cast somebody who has nothing to do with the character , that image that we all once had in our minds will be destroyed .

I don't want VA to end up like twilight something more along the lines of Harry potter which turns out great movies in my opinion. It ultimately depends on the experienced directors and the well known good studio's who produce said movies. Twilight had horrible publisher, semi bad directing, they can't stay consistent with a director so the movies are going to be all over the place with different visions. The studio can't afford to make a decent movie. etc. But what ever I'm still going to go see new moon, about three weeks after it's out because I don't want to contribute to the opening box office mayhem which gives the movie more credit than it deserves.

It's so hard to cast people for these parts because no one person lives up to my minds image and certain characters like Dimitri and Adrian are hard for me to find a known celebrity that deserves to be hands down one of those characters. I did see a you tube video that cast ben barnes as dimitri, so far that's the closet person I can see playing him and there for would have to agree. Plus he's proven to be a good actor.

Rm said she couldn't pick a dream cast and would resort to no names to try and find the perfect look a likes. Though I am all for giving, up and coming actors a shot because I think Hollywood stars monopolize the market, sometimes that can be a very risky thing to do. I loved the Eragon book I thought the actors in the movie sucked and were all one dimensional and ruined the movie for me. If she is going for no names I think she should find people from her novel fan base so at least she knows the people will do their best to play their character. I don't know about anyone else but I've read these books so many times I would have almost every characters main lines down. I am sure there are many more fans out there that feel the same and that's the heart that an actor or actress needs to put into their role to make the movie spectacular.

If I were Richelle M. I would secretly be scouting amongst my fans while I was out doing signings and all that stuff.

For those of you who like a reasons for rereading the books try practically acting out the lines instead of just reading and imagining them it's a whole other experience. I used to be in theater all through out my life and it's a habit for me, a very addicting habbit, it thrusts you into a story so much more.

Okay so Amanda seyfried would be the perfect mia. I'll admit dakota fanning crossed my mind but she's already in twilight. And i was watching a movie with Amanda Seyfried and I just thought holy crap MIA!!!

She dont look as young as Mia....nobody can agree with who plays the characters and who doesnt.....I really wish that it wont be made into a movie

oh of course no one will agree, although ben barnes is pretty unanimous amongst fans. The fact that no one can agree is why ultimately RM will have to choose who she envisioned only she really knows. If hollywood can't make this into a proper movie than I don't want it to be. It would taint the love I have for these books and respect I have for RM. Sm has been written off as a greedy joke because of her poor decisions. Part of that is why I 'd like to see VA prove to people that it is possible to make a great movie. So that all those stupid people who praise the horribly done twilight movies can see what an actual award winner really looks like. I'm just ranting now sorry. The mtv awards really pissed me off.

I did because they were sneak previewing a bunch of movies that I want to see this summer.
I did want twilight to win some, just not all of them I lost respect for kristen stewert, she is a horrible actress.Her demeaner in twilight is the same in everyother movie she made, with the exception of catch that kid. So this leads me to believe she can't act, especially when she is the same flinchy girl in real life. She can't create or distinguish differentiate any persona's. Blah! She has done some crappy movies in what you would call a career.

which of her movies did you like? I've only seen a few but they sucked. The only two maybe three I liked were;
1 catch that kid
2 the messengers
3 ?? panic room??

Cake eaters sucked, Fierce people I just shut off 1/3 of the way into it. uhm I can't even remember the names of the other 2 I saw, but I didn't like them either, she plays the same character in all of those ones. Or rather she plays herself.

THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. PEOPLE SAY THAT TO ME ALL THE TIME AND I HAVE A BROWN BELT IN SAN SOO AND A 3RD LEVEL PURPLE IN THE BRAZILIAN ART OF JIU-JITSU. I realize looks can be decieving, but the way they described Rose in the books was curvier than the slim Moroi, and Tonystark616 is kinda of right...She does look a little too scrawny. Or just not filled out enough if you know what I mean....

But face-appearance wise...She could do, she looks a little young but idk, she could work.

Well freaking die his hair red. Anybody playing any of these characters is going to have to make personal appearance changes to try and look the part. These people don't just exist in real life, because if they did I'd be hunting down the Adrian lookalike. (Explicit thoughts, must censor)

I agree with basically everyone else here, I don't really want VA to be made into a movie...not unless it can be done with top notch quality and acting. But even still, I have an image, I don't want it tainted.

As for choosing actors? I can't really, because I don't know any of the 'younger' actors. I'm 34, I don't follow the teen stuff. I have seen Narnia, and Ben Barnes as Dimitri? I don't think so...so THIS fan doesn't agree that he should be Dimitri. Hell no!
