18 hrs of travel in 2 days. That's hell. I made a trip like that to NC a few yrs ago when my daughter was 3. Even with a day's rest inbetween trips like that are rough. I hope you get better soon Rhia! Make sure you get plenty of rest!

Hey all, I have been talking to Ash for the past couple of days. So here is what new with her.

Ash ~ I miss you all like crazy and I'm becoming really busy now since I'm gonna be volunteering as a nursing aid during winter, spring, and summer break until I graduate in '13. Busy, Busy, Busy!

Andre and I aren't together anymore, he had tumor on his heart and passed away on my birthday. I'm handling pretty well, I haven't cried in a couple of weeks. It's treating me better than most.

And aren't you super excited about Last Sacrifice! I read all of the chapter this morning, fav quote is, "You know," I said, "talking to you is like talking to myself: it's pretty damn annoying." Fav of the 1st chappy. Quotes omg! The 4th quote made me scream! I was like wtf's gonna happen?

I'm trying to decide whether it buy it as a ebook or wait until that night to go get it. We're down to 1 car and the hubby refuses to let me drive him to work Tuesday just to get a effin book-his words not mine. I'd happily take him to work and go hang out at the book store til they opened lol So I can either buy it as an ebook Tuesday morning so I can read it immediately or I can wait until 4pmish to get the Hardcover. It's a tough one, I prefer hardcover but idk if I can handle waiting that long. plus the hubby will be upset if I spend all night reading it which means I wouldn't be able to read it til Wednesday. What would you girls do?

Wilda: well i don't think yous should take my advice cause what i would do is say "no i'm driving you to work then going to the bookstore.NO MATTER WHAT" and dive him to work, go to the bookstore, wait for 4:00 PM and get the hardcover (real books are always better) and then read all night long

If I drive him to work, I wouldn't have to wait til 4. When SB came out, he stopped by the book store on the way home and bought it for me but I'm super impatient. IDK if I can wait that long. I'm going to want to read it as soon as I get up and get my daughter off to school lol

I was wondering if i should start a Christmas thread, but the diversity on this site i didn't know if I should. But your talking about it here so YAY.
I'm super excited for Christmas. Money is tight this year so we have been going out our way to get gifts for cheap prices. We got a pretty decent load for a reasonable about of money. Though my dad is going a little crazy. He keeps thinking of things to get. I don't mind. I love wrapping the gifts. I love giving the gifts. Actually, i'm the only one who hasn't gotten anything. I jsut dont like getting gifts. Or picking my own gifts. I just need a blankie and a book and i'm content and over the past few months my dad has gotten me books. I haven't even read half of them yet. Not to mention in the summer sale at Barnes and nobles i order like 20 books, novels and memoirs and what not , and I didn't even read those yet. I just don't have much time to read anymore with the care-taking of my dad. But that's find. it makes the time i do read even more special and treasured.

For Christmas eve we're starting up an old tradition we used to do throughout my whole childhood. But for the last 4 or 5 years we haven't been doing it. GOing to my Aunts house for Christmas eve, for dinner and drinks. And then Christmas day they come over to our house for dinner and stuff. I'm excited because my dad is excited. Since he's been sick he's just been looking forward to spending time with family. I'm kind of scared for when the holidays are over. He'll have to figure something else to look forward too.

well my friends think i'm weird cause i'd rather read than go swimming so i understand how special read can be cause one time i didn't get to read form 2 months!!!!!!!!!! it was AWFUL and i know that it's hard when parents are sick cause they worry about every one else and everyone else is worrying about them so your dad's probably trying to help everybody relax by trying to get better so he can enjoy Christmas with everybody else so don't do anything that might hurt his feelings or at least try not to.

well, now it's been a few months since I've been active BUT I have been on the site to check out whats happening.

I don't know if you remember me, I wasn't active for very long but you guys are fantastic, I just have to tell you.

Christmas is very cold right now here in Sweden. we have had about -20C the past few weeks and its SOOOO much snow, usually that crazy temperature gets to us in january/febuary, thats not the worst, they are saying it's about to get even colder.

Today I went to the bookstore to get the book. I asked them last week when they were recieving it and they told med today. But when I got there, NO BOOK. I think i'm going to cry, now they told me MONDAY. MONDAY. IT'S A WEEK.

Chloe...lol i'm not married yet. We dont have wedding plans or anything. BUt he did ask me to marry him in the summer but it was moreso we wanted to get hitched before he enlisted in the air force so i would receive his military benefits. But he was rejected cause of his tattoos so he never enlisted and we never moved forward with the wedding plans. He started working a few months ago , stock and shipping department. So he's just saving and trying to pay off debt and stuff. When i find a job and everything with my family settles down, then we are going to resume wedding ideas. BUt thats a long time away. though he did nonchalantly say he is going to start saving for a engagement ring for me. I just call him hubby cause it's easier than saying boyfriend to be fiance. Lol.

RHIA - Aw yay sweetie, im so glad you are all better! And are you sure? I hope so! And oh I started reading those books but never got round to finishing them, I guess I lost interest after i found VA It'll only be a little while! And maybe you could re-read all the rest in the series to recap everything and be extra ready for Awakened?

TASHA - AH, thank goodness for that! Sorry for that little over reaction, I feel a little bit silly now Im glad I didn't miss getting to congratulate and get excited for you Aw, thats lovely of him! But that job doesnt sound too pleasant, but then not many do huh? I can't believe they didn't accept him just because of his tattoos! Thats appauling to me! What was wrong with them? I pitched a perfect game as a freshman and everyone went to this huge party but me. Instead, I rode my bike 10 miles to stop my friend from committing suicide. I was hit by a car on my way there. I saved my friends life, but lost both arms. I'll never pitch again, but seeing my friend smile is worth it.

Update on me. Hmmm....where to start. First, I'm with school for the semester. 6 weeks without stressing over school. Finally Second, I am just about to start reading LS. I was so wrapped up in school and work and finishing a book, I couldn't get LS in there until now. Hopefully I'll have it done soon but work is picking up now, which is a good thing. Third and I think you all might like this, I got into role playing on facebook and I am Lissa in a VA group. The group is just getting started but you all are free to friend request me. Becca ~ Give him a chance but if things don't get better you might want to leave him. He may have not hurt you physically yet but it could get to that point.

Amy~ I can't leave him. I won't. It would hurt both me and him too much. He might go back to being suicidal and I would slide back into depression. It would not only tear my heart out but I would be like an empty shell, here in body but not in heart or mind. I can't go back to feeling that way. As bad as the bad times get, the good times overshadow them and are way better. Yes things are rocky but they've gotten so much better. To be honest, the only time I feel safe is around him. Around him, I don't feel like I have to constantly be on my guard. I don't feel like I have to hide myself. I feel... I feel like I can finally let loose and be me, without being judged, without holding back the intensity of my feelings or actions. I don't have to worry about him leaving me or hurting me. As much as we hurt each other, that's how it is. No matter what relationship you're in, you're still gonna get hurt some how. And I would rather get hurt by him then anyone else because I know his intentions, I know his feelings. I know him inside and out. And that's why I know he won't hit me. That's why I won't leave him, unless I think it's best for him. Do you understand where I'm coming from? I can't explain how I feel any other way.
