| Today was the biggest day of Australian Horse Racing: The Melbourne Cup (labelled 'the race that stops the nation') because everyone stops at 3pm to watch/listen to the race. My family always has a private little betting sweep. We put all the horse names in a hat and pick out 5 each and then mum gives the winner $5. It's not a big thing but it's always been special for us. Well, the race just happened and none of my horses won. I did however have the only horse that pulled out of the race and I had the horse who came last. Fabulous. Oh well, I shouldn't be surprised. My horses never win. | |

Nope, my picks were terrible and I definitely didn't think Americain was going to win. Nah, it's not a big thing here, at least not anymore.

| Tasha I gotta say I am jealous that you are in NY and I'm not lol I've noticed that Richelle goes to NY every tour. The closest she is coming to me is in Georgia and being that it's on a weeknight, theres no way I can go I was really hoping she was coming to FL. But maybe I'll get lucky and she'll come for one of her other tours. Oh and I understand how you feel about being domesticated lol. I used to be a night person but now I'm lucky if I stay awake til 10pm. I'm not a morning person at all neither. It sucks not being able to stay up late and do what you wanna do. Makes me feel older than I really am. I swear when you go 2 days without the internet it feels more liek 2 months. My weekend was ok. Nothing special. Halloween was fun. We took the kids to the mall for a little while then came home and I took them trick or treating while the hubby passed out candy. I couldn't get my 2 yr old to say trick or treat though. He wouldn't even say thank you. He'd wait until we already left to say bye lol. | |

| For some reason, we don't have school tomorrow. Some teacher conference. Seriously, I feel like I've had no school this month... So I'm gonna stay in and study history, which by the way, is my worst subject.. :S | |

| Tomorrow, I only have about two total hours of school to attend! Yippie I'm an officer in my school's German Club, and it's our year to go to Wurstfest again. So tomorrow... at 9AM, we leave for the Wurstfest and then come back to school during our last period. It's going to be so much fun! I've been so excited about this Wurstfest since my last GC trip... Freshman year! * Wurstfest, by the way, is a fest of the German-Texas culture. The town hosts WF for a week in October/November and it's sort of like a little version of Oktoberfest, which is the giant festival in Germany. | |

| I'm now single again, but a good friend of mine set me straight and I realised that what me and the boy had was just a fantasy and I didn't actually love him. | |

| sorry to hear that Ela. But it'll be okay. You won't be in love with every guy you date. Sometimes it takes a while to fall in love with someone while other times it doesn't take long at all.
My husband has taken Thursday and Friday off work. He had 2 vacation days and decided to use them this week cause my birthday is Sunday. He promised to let me sleep in thursday and friday while he gets up and gets our daughter ready for school and on the bus. I'll believe it when it happens lol
Hope everyone is having a good week.

| Oh Ela, I'm sorry you're single again *hugs* You'll find someone you really like eventually.
Wilda, I hope you've got something else planned for your birthday other than a sleep in. I know sleep ins are fun, but having a special day is also nice.
I went book shopping today. Finally bought Kisses from Hell so I can read 'sunshine'!

| I read Sunshine the other day. It wasn't at all what I thought it would be but I liked it. It was a sweet little story. It'd be nice if Richelle would write one about Rose's parents next. I don't really have anything planned for my birthday yet. I'm waiting to find out if my best friend is coming over or not. If she can find a babysitter, we'll probably go out and do something. If not, then I have absolutely no idea what I'll do. My hubby took the kids to the store last night and came home with a beautiful flower bouquet and birthday cards. I didn't expect anything at all for my birthday so that was a nice surprise | |

| Wilda, aw that's so sweet of your hubby and kids. It's always nice to get a little something for your birthday.
Christy, Wow days off for elections...I wish that happened here. We always vote on saturdays because most people don't work then. No need to make it a public holiday.

| We vote on sundays here, but the centres are in schools, and they have to prepare them. And also many people live in places far away from the centres they vote, so they have to travel. Anyway.... I like it that way... So, went shopping today, bought some books. I went to a dance store with my friend, and found the coolest latin shoes I've ever seen. I can't wait to start latin classes in november! | |

| Hey ya'll.
Wilda I hope you had a really great bday! So sweet of the hubby to take a few days off and surprise you with flowers. Awe! I hope you actually got to sleep in and then go out with your friend- or just had a blast in whatever you decided to do.
Christy, ooo dance classes. Sounds awesome. Hope its a blast!
I don't recall if schools are off for elections or not around me. i dont think they are - at least my college didn't part take in that. But i didn't vote. I swear i had no idea an election was even approaching. I think i live under a rock sometimes. sigh.

| I am 25, officially in my mid-twentys and halfway to 50. I feel so freakin old lol Where did my early twentys go??
I had a really rough day yesterday and I doubt today is much better. Things have come up and now I am super stressed. Plus my friend cancelled on me. So I didn't get to go out and have a good time. So instead we rented a few movies and had a family night. The hubby and I stayed up til 3am watching movies. It was nice. But today I have too much to do to really enjoy my birthday. Hopefully life will give us a break and we'll get some good news. If not then some birthday this turned out to be.
Hope you all are having a much better weekend.

| yep today (November 7th). Some people still act like teenagers. I have my moments but most of the time I feel a lot older than I really am. It just feels like time has flown by and I never really got to enjoy my early 20's. Which is why I reccommend waiting until you have had time to enjoy your own life before having kids. | |
