| Doesn't it suck doing uni work all the time? Glad you got to watch a bit of tv for a little while though. I finished one of my essays last night, and I'm starting on another today. Going to a party tonight, so my sister's going to curl my hair for me later. Unfortunately it means missing the football tonight, but I'm going to wear my team colours to the party so at least I'll feel supportive. | |

| I woke up at 6am today...on a Saturday! What the hell is wrong with me?!? Guess thats what happens when you get used to waking up at a certain time every morning *sigh* I've got a bunch of errands to run and grocery shopping today. Not really looking forward to that with the kids. The hubby is working today so it's just us. Think I may take them for ice cream while we're out. Maybe they will stay on their best behavior if I promise ice cream...yeah riiiiiight lol
Hope everyone has a great day/weekend!

| Hey ya'll! Sorry about my absence. I've had a crazy couple of days. Since i got back from the in laws I just feel like i've been trying to play catch up. thursday I went to school ( i'm graduating no classes) to visit my friends. I left school with my cousin ( driving) around 730pm and I didn't get home til 130am. We got suck in the freak tornado damage. Everything was locked down or shut down. I saw army people out and about. Traffic was at a stand still. Trying to go home using local ways was a big mistake, a tree had fell on every other block. The wreckage was bad. I tried to take pictures but between the dark and the glares of all the headlights from the cars none of the pictures came out. Then yesterday was such a bad day. It was just one of those days were little irksome things kept happening. The worst of it was going to time warner cable store to exchange a cable box ( for my brother BTW who was getting an upgrade which cost 15 bucks a month- my mom canceled my channels like showtime to save that 15 bucks a month but that's another whole issue that upset me). My dad and I and my hubby are waiting for a parking spot for a good 15 mins. Some guy is walking out to his car and a girl driving a van JUST pulls into the parking lot and the guy was like OH you can have my spot. I was like the hell she can! The guy literally blocked us to let the girl drive into the spot. I was so mad because my dad , visually, you can tell he is elderly and sickly. And then the girl had the nerve to start talking trash. It took strength I didn't even knew I had to not trip, or hit, this girl when she walked past me in the store. I've noticed, i wouldn't have been half as mad if it just happened to me, but with my daddy? I damn near lost my mind.
By time the end of the day I was just pissed off. I ended up going out for a walk. And watching metal videos until midnight. Then i tried to sleep and I slept til 930am. I woke up to the sound of my mom yelling and screaming at my dad. I'm hoping today to be a better day. BUt i just may put headphones on and get work done. I've been avoiding some work things for a long time and I think i need to get it done- like yesterday lol.
Anyway, I hope your all well! Sorry i ranted.

| Wilda: Hope the kids were behaving themselves. Tasha: Ugh, I hate those kinds of days. Everything seems to go wrong. I also hate when it's super obvious someone's waiting for a park and then someone else scoots in at the last moment and steals it. It's rude. I've had a pretty good weekend so far. the 21st birthday party was pretty fun. My sister only knew the birthday girl and one of my other friends, and then the friend pulled out. So I was sort of sad for her because she didn't know many people, but the only girls I knew were really friendly to her and it was heaps good. Only downside were the speeches. they were lovely and all, but went on for almost an hour, and we were all standing around...and since I only knew the birthday girl through uni and all the speeches were made by family and high-school friends the stories been told were sometimes disjointed or contained secret inside jokes that the uni girls just didn't get. I mean, I guess that happens during all speeches, but it still takes its toll after an hour. Another fabulous thing: My football team won! They're into the Preliminary finals round. One more win and they're into the Grand final. Won't find out if they get there until Friday though, so it'll be a very intense week waiting. I can't watch the match at the actual stadium again (because it's in Queensland so I'm not travelling an entire day to watch the footy, I'm not that big a fan ) but I'll get to put my jersey on and watch it in front of the TV with my dad. GO THE MIGHTY ROOSTERS! Anyway, better get back to doing uni work. Have a good day all. | |

Should get better soon one of my best friends is turning 21. Parties for friends who have the same group friends are so much better.

| yeah, definitely. I've got to start planning my own 21st party soon, but because of my twin we have to coordinate parties...well, we don't have to, but we will because we've never had a seperate birthday before (except last birthday when she ditched me for her boyfriend and I sat in my room alone all birthday and then was the only person without a partner at dinner that night...yeah, that's a birthday I want to not repeat if possible...not the non-partner part, I don't really care about that, but the being alone part) Anyway, point of the story, there'll be people I invite and people my sister invites that won't really know both of us very well...but hopefully it'll just be a small thing and not a heap of fuss. | |

| My birthday parties are always mellow. My 21st was no different. The only exception i bought my own booze legally for the first time lol. Im usually the youngest of my family and friends- so the liquor store has seen my face for years and always sold to me before I was 21. But I went into a different liquor store the day of my 21st and happily waited to be i.d. and i wasn't. i was so freaking mad. Lol. I just had a couple people over and we hung out on my patio and had a few drinks and ordered some food and took our ipods out and hooked it up to speakers. I dont like big messes of a party.
I hope your parties are fun and stress-less. And kim, i'm not happy to know ur last birthday u were alone. I have a real pout on my face. Cause i recall you posting on "what is your age " thread and you said "i'm another year older" and I was like omg is that your subtle way to telling us it's your birthday! lol. We could of have a cyber party for you on shadow bite.

| I've still got a few months to plan the party, so it should be plenty of time. I'm not really wanting to do anything too big, 21 isn't that important over here...especially since it doesn't signify anything, we can already buy alcohol etc. It's just that it's always been a big and exciting age in the past so it's sort of continued. | |

| What's the drinking age in Aust? Is it 21 everywhere in the US? Its still 18 in NZ but politicians are looking to increase it to 20. It'll be a surprise to all those college tourists that come for the booze from overseas. Mine is coming up soon. I think I'll just have something low key.

| The legal age is 18. Years ago they considered raising the age, but figured that'd just cause more people to break the law buying illegal alcohol etc. It was during a period were binge drinking was becoming a problem for the young generations....then they considered lowering the age to 16 so as to stop teens from drinking illegally too, but there was a fair amount of controversy surrounding that idea, so it's stayed at 18. | |

| Personally? I'm all for upping the drinking age...at least here in NY. I just don't think the teenagers I know and see in the streets are smart/mature enough to handle it.
I'm super tired. i spent ALL day about 12 hrs cleaning out my hubby's father's apartment. He left the apartment to my hubby's brother. My hubby moved out 2 years ago ( to live in my parents house with us) and it hasn't been cleaned since. I've seen some seriously nasty stuff in that place. I think bleach is now one with my system. I've never scrubbed so much in my life. sigh. I'm ready for bed.

| Looking forward to a chilled out fortnight. The gap time after all mid semester assignments\tests are done and the rush before exams start. Might be able to read something for fun I think out of the 10 - VA has the most potential. Then Hunger Games. PS: VA is so above par compared to moral instruments | |

| As far as I knwo the legal drinkig age is 21 in every state in the US. I think it should stay that way too. I didn't do much for my 21st. I thought I was preg at the time so I didn't feel comfertable drinking. Which sucks. I'll be 25 in November and I'm planning on going out and celebrating this time. Although I gotta admit I am terrified of turing 25 Idk why cause i feel like I should be in my 30's but turning 25 is a big deal to me... My weekend was good. Sunday we went to the beach just me, the hubby, and the kids. Then we went to the mall and shopped a little and went out to eat. It was a much needed family day out Hope everyone has a great week. | |

| I actually watched bits and pieces of Glee, the new episode. It was my first time watching Glee. I wanted to watch the show ages ago when it first came out but school prevented it. Its a pet peeve of mine to get into a show without following it from the beginning. But it was good to me ( not knowing who's who and the drama and major plots). I would of watched it fully but I was watching the season premiere of " the biggest loser". I dont usually watch that show but the channel was on when the show started and the stories of those people really pulled on my heartstrings. So i watched it for the stories and watched Glee on commercial breaks. | |

| I watched the second episode of Glee of the first season but only managed 15 mins of it. But i watched the full episode of it last week I guess it was the first season's finale and loved it. I have season 2 episode 1 recorded. I'll watch it sometime this week.
Man it's been a busy week so far. Yesterday I caleld the school and told them that my daughter wouldn't be able to stay after and that she needed to ride the bus home. Well 3:40pm came and she didn't get off the bus. I couldn't get ahold of anyone! By the time the hubby got home it was 4:30pm. We got to her school whcih is a good 45 mins away at 5 til 5pm. I was soooooooooo angry with the school. Apparently Isabelle got on the bus and one of the teachers pulled her off. Turns out her teacher didn;t get the message about her ot staying until after the buses left! I was so pissed. I ahd to have my hubby go in there otherwise I probably would ahve been arrested. I just don't understand why the hell the lady in the office didn't get the message to the teacher before school let out. wtf is wrong with her? UGH. Then last night I had to go to Tampa (2 hrs away) to pick up a truck for work with my hubby. I had to drive the car back. While we were there he ended up having to work a little bit so we didn't get home until after midnight and we had the kids with us so Isabelle stayed home today cause she didn't get enough sleep. She woke me up screaming and crying cause she missed the bus. I've never seen a kid cry over missing school. But its better to have her want to go to school than not want to. Today I had to go pick up my hubby from work then take him to go get another work truck. Then I had to take Brandon (nefew) to go pay his phone bill. And we had a little talk about him finding a job. I just now got dinner in the oven and i'm exhausted. I hope the rest of this week will be more relaxing. My mom is supposed ot come down this weekend and I'm going to take Brandon and go look for a job. The hubby was going to take him to the army and have him sign up this weekend btu after my talk with him, he's agreed to give him a few more months. Brandon told me that he's already decided that fi he can't find a in a few months that he'll sign for the army. But he really doesn't want to but so far no one wants to hire him b/c he doesn't have enough experience which is a load of bs imo. I know how he feels. I've only had 1 job and I got luck getting that one cause they were desperate.
blah sorry for the novel lol

| Omg i would of been PISSED too. I hope things ease up for you.
And about Brandon and the army. Don't let him do it as a last resort. My hubby was ALWAYS about to join the army because he hasn't been able to find work. I wouldn't stand for it. If thats a thought out passion and career choice- okay then we can talk about and make a plan to do it. But, it was always about money and I'm glad I held my ground on that issue. He finally decided he likes the military life- just not the army branch. He got turned down for the air force because of tattoos which broke his little heart ( and mine). So now after more research he's looking into the coast guard. I hope Brandon doesn't join just because lack of finding work. I know it's tough but if money issues then there is all kind of weird jobs. My hubby did labor work for a while to bring in some money. I completely understand how hard it is to find a job because i don't have experience. I did alot of volunteer work and internships but they were so obscure and radical I don't really have notable experience with those. Flyers-ing and protesting isn't exactly going to get me a job. Not to mention some of my internships- the people disappeared who were my "boss". I mean i was a student until a few weeks ago but still jobs want that experience. Awhile ago i was job hunting and got called back for cashier jobs but i really really didn't want to take it. That's one thing i don't want to do. I rather do stock/ labor work then work as a cashier. Nothing wrong with it. Just i hate working with money on that kind of level and i don't have that kind of patience and it doesn't go with my personality. But, i'm beginning to get desperate and not even cashier jobs are calling me back. lol. It's tough. But we'll get through.

| Glee was good. As a first ep is was sort of lacking in excitement, especially since they were trying to get more singers...it's not really fun until the competition/guest stars start arriving. They've got Britney Spears on next week, so that should be good.
Wilda, that's terrible reception skills. If there's a message concerning your child's safety and pick-up etc. It should be passed on immediately! There's a reason you call up to give them a message, especially if it's a 45 minute drive to your daughter's school.
Tasha, I'm dreading going to look for a job next year, because of the whole "experience" thing....not cool.

| It's extremely hard to find a job without experience. And it's ridiculous cause he's not going after jobs that require much. I've only had one job and I got lucky with that one. I don't want him to join the army as a last resort but it's his decision and he says he doesn't mind doing it. The thing is before yesterday he had barely been trying and only filling out applications my hubby got for him. My hubby went into a pizza place and talked to the manager and he was ready to hire my husband right on the spot! But Brandon hasn't recieved a call from them. My hubby talked to him last night so hopefully he finally understands that we only want him to succeed and be something rather than him hang out with his friends who don't ahve jobs btw and do absolutely nothing except stay out til 4am and sleep all day. He wants to go to school but in order for him to get the finacial assistance he needs at least a part time job. So hopefully he'll find something soon and be able to go to school next yr. I want to see him do something. His brother and sister both went back to St. Louis and aren't doing crap. We don't want him to end up back there. but there's only so much we can do and we've told him as long as he tries we'll help.
I'm sorry you and your hubby are having trouble finding jobs as well. The economy freakin sucks right now. I hope you both find something you wanna do soon.GL with it all.
I wanna work but daycare is tooooo expensive and I really don't want to put my son in it plus I'd have to do after school care for my daughter and thats at least $100 a week so it'd be like $200 a week total for them both. My check would cover that and gas. It wouldn't be worth it and the hubby refuses to let me work nights. But with him getting ready to start night classes in the spring I wouldn't be able to work nights anyway.
