When did you discover Vampire Academy?

really? Well, i'm glad she did. I guess all authors have the problem though- how to end a wonderful series and leave the fans happy and satisfied. Plus, also not dragging out the series and loose its ompf. I'm a new fan so didnt follow her journey. But from FAQ interview questions I've read RM mead said she always knew the beginning and the end but had trouble connecting the dots.

I never heard anything about her thinking about stopping, but I have heard a lot about the connecting-the-dots thing. But I guess that sort of thing would happen with a lot of authors, if something your writing goes in a slightly different direction it might take a bit of time to get it back on the track you want it to be one, or to change the ending so that the new direction fits.

i hear alot of authors go through vases and stuff till they figure what they want to write..

I'm pretty sure Riordan fared even better at connecting the dots in the middle of P.J.O than Philip Pullman had, when it came to the His Dark Materials trilogy, but at least either way, both of them brought much-needed depth to Y.A Literature.

Let us Pray that Vampire Academy can do the same, and more!

i know! unlike twilight don't get me wrong i love twilight. but they messed it up becuase of the movie but im a team jacob fan! so i would still defened twilight. and also give credit to JK,Rowling becuase harry potter was another series that brought the YA very popular.

^Well said, but the most credit, must come to The Dark Is Rising series, by Susan Cooper, for proving Y.A Literature could be so beautifully done, that no one could forget about it, with good reason.

The Harry Potter novels by J.K.R, and The Percy Jackson And The Olympians novels, by Rick Riordan, plus the Artemis Fowl novels, by Eoin Colfer, deserve an honorable second, each, in any order.

hmm I don't know exactly when but the only books Richelle had out at the time where Succubus Blues and Vampire Academy

i think i started reading the Vampire Academy novels when i didnt have anything to read when i first started my vampire junkie craze my mom was like "You know you love vampires so much why dont you read these?" then i was like "No way its probably stupid!" i know i cant believe those words came from my mouth then in june this year i was like hmm ill give it a try then i had only Vampire Academy and Shadow Kiss and i realized i didnt have Frostbite thinking that was the third and we drove all the way to another town to find it but it was worth it. Then i just fell in love with all of them including Dimitri... then when Blood Promise came out i couldnt wait now im awaiting Spirit Bound!!!!!!!!!!

totally agreed i just found them on the shelf and just gave them a try at first i didnn't like them(don't hate me) then i read frostbite and fell in love with the series!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhh!

i loved them because they held my interest and they had a heroine like me and a story line that made sense
