When did you discover Vampire Academy?

Yeah, but if i recalled right, Mead planned out Vampire Academy years before Meyer planned out twilight with the blasted marketing team. :mad:

Then again, the positions in planning is reversed, when Rowling planned out the Potter-World novels, in the 90's, while Riordan told his son a modern-day Olympian Fable, that would have made the ancient Greco-Roman Elders in awe.

Apparently, even Susan Cooper was homesick, when she wrote The Dark Is Rising novels, which was a modern[for its time!] Pagan Tale, for the most part.

I think if Twilight didn't exist I wouldn't have come across Vamp Academy.
I got VA of a display called "If you liked Twilight you'll enjoy these..." or something to that effect.

Alas, i can see your point, much to my dismay, as i was under the impression that Frost-Bite was going to be as bad as, if not worse than, New Moon was, as far as sequels and justification for excess weight are concerned.I was glad to be wrong on that department, as the novel was more tolerable than New Moon, and not just in Plot Armor justification by a combination of kombat training and Vampiric Blood, either.

Is it as worthwhile as, if not more so than, The Sea Of Monsters, by Rick Riordan?Since their middle felt weaker than T.S.O.M, and they didn't set up a proper Lead Main Villian to lead the Strigoi, in that novel, i must admit that sadly, that's not the case, so no, to that question!But i do give it kudos for beating the shit out of New Moon, though.

why ?

Because it feels too much like the Vampire Sub-Genre is going to the capital of the vilest hell known to us, and Vampire Academy just helped to slow it down, instead of being enough to prevent it, by itself and Cirque Du Freak.
