Yes, I think she should look angelic, bubbly, and high-spirited. But yet, I also think that whoever was cast to play her should be able to play a dark side, too.

Exactly the kind of thing i was thinking...Lissa may be an Angel who's trapped in a full-blooded vampiress's body[who should have even wore bunny suits, while she's at it, too!] yet if i was taught anything right, it's this...not all Angels are good, any more than all the good ones would keep all their common senses, for that matter, and Lissa constantly solidifies that fact before us.

They need to find an actress whom, in addition to resembling an Angel[preferably not too cherub-like!]would also remind us that even Angels are far from perfect, at times, for someone like Lissa.

I dunno who this girl is but I think she would make a good Rose I don't even know if she could act but she has the look I imagine Rose to have XD

I agree with Cross it would be awesome to have an Arabian play a lead role. I hate how hollywood is so bland. Our world is full of culture yet hollywood is white washed. It's hilarious how they use the same ethnic actors over and over again in every movie rather than cast new talent of different elasticities and origins with different looks. There are so many forms of beauty out there that has been untapped.

Granted, the overall casting for 300 and the Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter movies are at least decent, but apart from that, quite frankly it is a must to get as close to ethinicities as possible...it's just a given and a must!!!

[Although i do find Brendan Fraiser as Mo in Inkheart to be brilliant, somehow...maybe it's something to do with doing the voices for the Inkworld novels?]

Richelle Mead should look for families of remotely middle-eastern Roots to be Rose, so at least that way, ethnicity can be kept, while they get new talent at the same time, since now is the time to De-White-Wash Hollywood!

[Besides, it's plot-relevant to find a hot Lady of Arabian Descent to play Rose, since her father's middle-eastern, altogether, and it's not like getting most of the cast to share the same eye colors, either, since it's their call to do what they will, in that department!]

But then again looks can only go so far. Don't get me wrong. I agree it would be nice to have people of various ethnicity to infiltrate white washed Hollywood. However, that only goes so far. You still need talent.. A person who can actually personify the characters and bring them to life and stay true to the books. U know what i mean?

I know...i'm pretty sure Mead must have also placed some thought into the matter, and in case it happens, must be searching for Arabian-Rooted Ladies who can act, to play Rose!

I hope i am right!This isn't like Gemma Doyle, in which someone like Miss Wright can make a plausable Gemma, though cases like these are related, somehow!

Remember though when looking for a Rose-ish person that yeah she is Turkish but she is also Scottish like in Frostbite...or maybe it was the first book that she was her moms facial features

Even if we did find the right ladies to play Rose...we'd be lucky if they even managed to fulfill 50% of the badly needed Ethnic Requirements!

I'm not even sure if it's possible to find someone to fulfill both those halves of the whole requirement...but if it's not...they best look for an Arabian-Rooted lady, right there, since We have to hear about Rose's father, who's outrightly Middle-Eastern!

Besides, Rose Hathaway reminds me too much of Shirin Bakhtiar of the Gundam 00 series for them to ignore the fact that Rose is of middle-eastern Roots[because so is Shirin, except Rose doesn't wear Glasses!]

First, Jill, i can't recall worth a dang Christian's overall Ethnicity, because the only thing i recall, is that he's part-Caucasian, but that's it!I know i'm more than just part-Caucasian, but this is ridiculess!

Second, as much as Christain reminds me of a bluff-festive version of myself, from the boldness in brutal honesty, to the extent of his mental screw-up-ness, to even mating with someone in a Church[I can assure you that if i ever got it on with someone, i wouldn't do it at a Church!] and playing Christian would require someone who can bluff their way out of a bucket...as for me, i'm lucky to even bluff my way out of a paper bag, because i can't lie to save my life, and even then, i can still get called out on, in my bluffing!
