Or when Eclipse showed even more character regressions than H.B.P, for that matter? [At least in H.B.P, there's just Ginny going paranoid, but we can blame that on Voldemort, for the most part, or at least his diary, right? But in everyone else's cases, there's just no such excuse, at all, isn't there? ]

| Can you be a little more specific on the regressions your referring to. I see them as crossing over into young adults. Hermoine for instance was fighting emotional battles. Ginny well yeah I agree, because she experienced Voldemorts strenght and power first hand and has ample reason. | |

| ^I do think her position would have been much stronger, though, if she was given the chance to pause for a few minutes, take some deep breaths, and try not to show her paranoia around everyone else, too much, as it scared me, senselessly, and might have given people the wrong impression that she's a mary-sue, when we also have her Black Family Blood to blame for that. I do think she's justified, in her paranoia, though, i just wished that the novel elaborated on it, more, just to remind us all of it, as it would have helped breathe life into the novel. As for Ron, however, he wasn't thinking clearly, as he should have been arguing with Hermione instead of Ginny, if you ask me. Harry, however, is finer in there, than he was in O.O.T.P, not that i hated how he was in O.O.T.P, but at least his thoughts are much clearer, generally speaking, that's something, right? | |

| And besides, if we even bring in the world of Percy Jackson And The Olympians, again, no matter how short those novels were, even Percy and his fellow Demigods each have an actual personality, while the Twilight Novels, on the other hand...well, it seems that only Carlisle, Emmett, and Jacob have a personality that was kept intact. | |

Not to mention that most of the other characters ended up being morons, and most of the morons were only morons by accident, for that matter.

| I agree also. They should stop comparing Twilight with Vampire Academy. They are 2 different things that have nothing in common! Only that they are Vampires but that's it. I'm a Twilight/Vampire Academy Fan Freak. Whatever. At first I was addicted to Twilight, or so I thought, but then I got over it. | |

More often than not, Twilight does feel like mindless entertainment, and not in a good Dragonball Z-Esque-Can-anyone-afford-to-think-about-whats-going-on?kind of way, either.

| Twilight sometimes reminds me of a really bad really cheesy sifi movie. Despite how lame they are when the story line doesn't make sense and the acting and characters are horrible stereotypes it can still be addicting to watch them for their lameness alone. A way to pass the time. Doesn't require anyone with a brain. Actually I think that's mandatory to watch those movies or read those books for that matter. You have to suspend all rationality and through it out the window, just turn your brain off and and enjoy the ride. | |

But last time i checked, the world of the Olympians never required you to throw your brain and rationality out of the window, didn't it, Jill?

| I like how Rose is able to be surrounded by men without being a slut about it (HON). It's far more entertaining to me. | |

@IcyPinkAngel: Um, I don't like Twilight either, but I wouldn't particularly bash it like you just did. After all, I did like the series the first time I read it, but it's the movie that really ruined it for me. And Twilight is the main reason why I found Vampire Academy --- since I was looking for more vampire books to read after that. And RPattz is not hot, in my opinion, he is very unattractive. =/ Anyway, to be honest, it was kinda hard to take you seriously (as Kim or someone else pointed out earlier) because of the "netspeak" or "textspeak" in your post. Nevertheless, I thought this was an interesting post, hopefully I'm not too late for the conversation.

idk, maybe the casting directors have bad taste in men and women? Actually, KStew wasn't so bad. I thought she was gorgeous. So was Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed.
