Moonlight (not Twilight)

This is a TV Show, that got cancelled on May 2008. The complete series is on DVD, however, with 16 episodes and a proper ending. If you like Twilight, then you might like this series -- it's worth checking out...

However, don't expect it to be anything like True Blood, because this TV Show was on a network channel, not cable. It has no sex, no swearing, and barely any violence, so I think it's safe to say its tween friendly. (like Twilight)

It's basically about a vampire, who falls in love with a human. There are other plot lines besides the love story, but I think that's what the series is mostly focused on.

If you really like Twilight, I definitely think you'll like this series. If you like your vampires dark and broody (like True Blood), then you definitely won't like it.

I thought this series was decent, nothing special really. I like my vampires welll..meaner, but overall this TV Show was just okay.
If you're going to watch it, you should definitely start with the second episode because the first episode is just too cheesy for words. You won't like it if you just watch the pilot episode, because the show doesn't have time to redeem itself. But it gets better....until the last 3 episodes. The last 3 episodes are just plain horrible.

I'll probably watch this series again one day, but I haven't watched this since it last aired.
Anyway, hope you guys enjoy it. I did (while it lasted). Tell me what you honestly think of it if you decide to watch it.

I was sooooooooo frikkin MAD when Moonlight got cancelled!!! ARgh it still makes me mad!!! Moonlight was my favorite show when it was airing and it pretty much broke my heart when it was cancelled. I can never forgive CBS for that.

They only showed half the season over here, which was kind of upsetting. But I plan to get it on DVD soonish so I can finally find out what happens.

Dimka, I agree with you...I mean, I didn't like the show at first, but, it really started to grow on me, and I really wasn't satisfied with the ending, so I was really mad when I heard that CBS cancelled it.

This show had so much potential, but it barely had any time to redeem itself.

@ Kim: Yeah, Moonlight wasn't really successful in some places, so I was really surprised when it turned out to be successful in France.

You should get the DVD.. Most of the episodes are good, especially episode 12, but I thought the last 3 episodes were horrible.

I was received well over here, but then something happened (I think sport related) and they stopped showing it for a little while and then didn't put it back on.
I'll try and get it very soon, I've just been waiting for the price to come down. I think it's at $32 now, which is fairly reasonable for a TV season

$32??? I've seen other 1 season DVDs for less...but I guess its not much.
Hopefully it'll go down eventually.

So does anyone know if reruns of Moonlight is still on SyFy? Or did they already air all 16 episodes?
I know for sure that Moonlight is still airing in France, but I'm not sure if they're still airing reruns on the SyFy channel.

I think it's interesting how everything turns out. However, I don't want to spoil it for you...

haha, I'm glad it works out, because sometimes with TV shows they get cut off before a resolution can be made and you're left wondering what was going to happen (like Dark Angel...so not cool)

^ Actually, some questions are left unanswered, since the show got cancelled. However, if I remember correctly, most of the questions you might have are pretty much answered.
