What do you think about the new twilight book?

Yes that's right. A new twilight book. SM announced she will be releasing a short novel ( 200 pages) in June of a story following parallel Eclipse events and time. From the perspective of new born vampire Bree.

My opinion of this was :



At first, i thought it was a money thing. They obviously thought the same thing because this story will be available for viewing on a website for free. And actual book purchases , a dollar for every book will go to charity, the red cross I believe, for relief help in places like Haiti and Chile.

Nevertheless, I will read.

Lol. Yeah I'm going to read more for my OCD tendencies then anything. It will nag me that i didn't read the WHOLE series. But, I'm definitely not purchasing it. It'll be the free version for me.

I've got mixed opinions. I'm sort of glad that SM's using this world she's created to make a new story...but at the same time, we know what happens to Bree, and through Jasper and the other Vampries we know what it's like for newborns, so what are we really going to learn/get from it?

I kind of fell like people aren't really as psyched about it as I thought they would be.

I, for one, am not going to read it. I've been down the Twilight road and have formed my opinions about it, which are staying put at the moment.
I honestly can't do with reading anymore of her work, at least anything associated with Twilight. The shallowness of it just ruined the whole thing for me.

I read it and I think it's not bad. Meyer finally gathered some courage, this one is darker and she freely talks from the perspective of, let's face it, a murderer. And there's the sad ending, which is something we've never seen Meyer write before. There's a love story, of course, but it fit in well.

I actually liked it. I wasn't really excited for it and didn't think i woudl like it but I do. I love Bree and the inside glimpse to the newborns. My opinions have definitely changed about it all.

I haven't read it yet and I'm not sure if I ever will. From what I've heard about the book I'm not too interested in reading it. Of all the newborns to write a new book about I don't understand why Stephenie chose a character that barely got more than three sentences in the entire series. I think it would have been far more wise to put that effort towards a book about Jasper or finishing Midnight Sun instead.

I agree. I don't see why she doesn't want to finish Midnight Sun already. She's so annoying.

I have a theory that she's waiting until the last movie to publish Midnight Sun. Stephenie pretty much proved with the Bree Tanner book that she'll release anything as long as it means more publicity and money for the franchise.

I agree and I don't like that.
And you might be right about Midnight Sun. It's the only explanation I see.

I used to be a HUGE twlight fan. But not anymore, everyone's so obsessed with it, it's so commercialized. My sister is a huge fan though, so she bought the book. I read it. I wasn't so amazed. It's tiring. I mean, she writes about the same stuff ALL THE TIME. It's boring.

I know.. And the writing is far from good, which makes it even worse, because it doesn't deserve the attention it gets.

I agree. It's just a book for teenagers. Besides, everyones obsessed with RobPat as Edward Cullen. I've even seen bandaids with edward Cullen...

Just finished it and i am still tearing up, wow that(ending) was intense!
I loved it! I loved of corse that Edward and Bella have sex, I really loved the banter between Jacob and Rosalie, I was hoping jacob might imprint with Leah(can wolfs imprint on each other?) I hope she finds some happiness. When Alice shows up-I lost it and am crying now at the thought. Im so glad they are all ok. What do we all do now?
