Awe, Hope you feel better soon, Kim. Not nice of your sister's boyfriend! I'm way less peaceful and patient these days, I would have no qualms tripping him or "accidentally" dropping a book on his foot. Lol, I've become so evil the past few months.

I'm pretty good at ignoring the boyfriend, so it all works out well in the end.

Libby, I hope you're doing alright with all the snow in NZ. It looks freaky and awesome at the same time on tv, but I know it's a bit of an oddity for most of NZ. Hope you're not frozen or put out too much.

Oh snow, i miss you. I hope everyone is okay and it isnt bad snow. I'm soooo anxious for fall ( autumn) weather already.

Edit. Just ordered Bloodlines via amazon. I also ordered the 3rd 13th to life book which came out today. I'm so excited.

I'm so tired of talking about snow. It snowed for ten mins yesterday in Auckland and people are still talking about it. Guess thats expected when its a once in 30-50 year event. My bus was late this morning - so I was standing in the freezing cold for an extra 15mins.

Oh, sorry for making you talk about it again then Libby. They made it sound like such a big deal over here on the news.

LOL! Omg Kim, I browsed over it when i saw it on facebook. THey didn't describe it so well, i was like " i dont need a recap of VA" but since you posted the link i clicked on it and it was toooo funny. I liked it, i still have a smile on my face. My favorite one was Lissa and Christian are now friends and Rose said really?? Lol.

Richelle was talking to someone about it on twitter (I can't remember who the someone was...I think Michelle Rowen?) Anyway, she said she loved the Lissa and CHristian are now friends part too, but she really wanted to know who "liked" it...she's guessing Christian, because it certainly wouldn't be Rose.

I had such a rough night. I had to take the hubby into the emergency room. He's been terribly sick from the chemo and then yesterday he broke out in a rash. We thought it was from a soap he used, it was different we never used that brand before. I went to the pharmacy this morning to get some cream for it and the pharmacist said its very likely its the chemo causing him to react to things, cause he's extra sensitive to everything. During the day some of it cleared up but then other parts of his body started breaking out. THen out of no where it got way serious and worse there was barely a clear spot on his body. THen he was swelling up and started shivering and i called 911. THen he had a panic attack and it was the scariest couple of minutes of my life. He was barely breathing and i had to talk him out of the panic attack and that unknown time we dont know how long before the ambulance got here. The hubby calmed down some with me talking him out of the attack but then he started freaking out again but thankfully thats when the paramedics walked in.

At the hospital, they remembered my hubby, from when i brought him back in Jan when he first had the seizure attack and we discovered his brain tumor. THey were amazed to see him. I was touched they remembered him. But i couldn't help but make a face at one of them... i just got his obscene doctor bill in the mail a couple weeks ago. lol. They medicated the crap outta of my hubby. And said he isn't in danger of anything. He can go home. They gave us a prescription and he has to take that for a couple days and some over the counter medicine for itchiness. But they said this kind of reaction cant be from soap or whatever. It has to be from his chemo medication. SO now everything is unknown, i dont know whats going to happen. But i'm just happy the hubby is alrght and we are home.

How's this round of Chemo going in terms of treating the cancer? I'm sorry he's had bad side effects.

Remember I mentioned seeing 'Dimitri' around town a few months ago. Saw him on Wednesday

Tasha: *hugs* I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I can't imagine how scared you must have been. I know it doesn't help much, but once again you show amazing strength. Cool under pressure. I hope your hubby is ok now and that nothing else goes wrong for him.

Libby: ooo, lucky! So...he's still around! I hope you see him again.

Tasha-I'm so sorry you had such a rough night and all. But like Kim said once again you show your strength. I would have freaked out. I panic in situations like that. I'm glad he is ok and back home. HUGS!

Libby- cancer wise , it's doing really well. The last MRI he had was August 5th and his doctor was very very happy with it. She said it's getting much better.

Well. First day of school could have gone much worse... not too thrilled about this theater class I'm in... thinking I might not be in it for much longer. If it weren't for a requirement I'd drop it today. lol

Well I'm pissed off at my local Big W, Kmart and Target. NONE of them have Bloodlines. I was told to try again tomorrow afternoon because apparently new books don't come in until the afternoon and the people who are in charge of the book sections either stop work at 2pm or don't start until late in the afternoon. There are no bookstores near me anymore and ordering it means waiting days for stupid shipping. Ugh. So I'm Bloodlines-less today and potentially Bloodlines-less tomorrow too.

Actually, it didn't go too bad. I think I was expecting the first day to suck, but I was surprised. With the exception of that retarded theater class, I'm pretty pleased with all my classes. Tomorrow I'm just going to chill out though. I'll probably go to the bookstore and get my textbooks. Too bad I won't be able to find Bloodlines there, but luckily my mom will be coming by to drop a few more things off for me and she said she'd pick it up as well.

Sorry you couldn't find Bloodlines. I hope you can find it tomorrow. Maybe you should call ahead and see if they'll have it in stock and have them reserve a copy for you? For Bloodlines, I would. Also that way you would know for sure whether to bother with a trip out there in the first place.

Btw, any news on Forbidden?

ok, not so bad then...but still, it sucks when you don't have a class that you like. It means you spend A LOT of time daydreaming and scribbling crap all over your books. Textbooks...yay? lol, but a real Yay for your mum bringing Bloodlines

The shopping centre's only like 5 minutes from my house, so a random trip won't bother me...but my mum and I always go shopping really early (like 8:30-9am) which means there's less of a chance of things being put out. I was sort of expecting nothing to be on the shelves, but I hoped that someone would be like "I don't know if we have it, but I'll go check in the back for you" instead I just got "hm...my shift ends before we get deliveries...um, try tomorrow?" I'll just keep looking...if for some strange reason the stores don't get it in by the weekend, I'm going into the city on Sunday, so I'll head in early and go to Dymocks. I'd head off to Dymocks today, but since it's an hour's bus ride and it's raining I think I'll just keep reading my current book and look for Bloodlines again tomorrow.

No But then again, it'll only be a week tomorrow since they reordered it the second time. So I wasn't expecting it until *maybe* tomorrow, but probably thursday or friday. I won't start to panic until monday OR if I get 'Blood Bound' by Rachel Vincent first, because I had that one preordered and got an email today saying they got their copies in so mine was being sent out today. If Blood Bound turns up before Forbidden I'll start making a fuss again.

Well I hope it works out. lol Maybe tomorrow you'll get both Bloodlines AND Forbidden. That would be awesome. Though Soul Thief won't be out here until next week and I'd wanted to get it on release day... I'm thinking I might order it online sometime this week along with Succubus Revealed. That way they'll at least be waiting for me once I go home. Otherwise I'm going to have to use my school mailbox... though I almost got locked out of my building tonight looking for it. That was a scary moment.

Yeah, buying textbooks is lame especially since they cost so damn much. And then I'll need one for every class. Why the hell do you need a textbook for theater appreciation? I'm not sure yet whether I'll stay in it. It just seems like such a crap course. I'll probably shoot myself if it turns out that the "final exam" is to perform a play or some crap. So far that's only optional for students who'd like to.

I reckon you should try to not lock yourself out of your building. I hear that's good advice I hope to at least get one of them tomorrow or on thursday (and most of me hopes it's Forbidden because I've now been waiting a month for it to arrive and I'm sick of waiting...while Bloodlines will pop up in stores sometime this week.)

That's why I never took a drama/theatre class. I can't stand the thought of having to act in front of people. I hate *talking* in front of people, so acting would suck more. I hope you don't have to act.

Haha yeah... that might have ended badly had the lobby people not been there. But it's not like it was really late or anything. It was like 7 pm. I have to get a student id card and then have them activate it so that I can unlock the doors with it. I would've done it today but I was sorta busy from 9:30-5:00... since tomorrow's my day off, I'll do it then.

Oh, I wouldn't be taking it if there were any other way. I mean, it's bad enough that I have to write up like personal reports on plays (I have to go watch a couple apparently, *outside* of class) but then to be graded on performing one? Erm... no.

Anyway, going to bed. I hope Forbidden shows up tomorrow!!

Had a terrible day. My test went horribly. Wondering what I was think taking this paper.
Probably cause I had the same lecturer last semester and she wasn't so incompetent then.
Got free lunch at my midday meeting which is always nice.
Following this I checked my email apparently the release day for Bloodlines in now 26 August according to the company I ordered it from. If I see it in store tomorrow they will pay. I'll write seriously nasty stuff on their FB page.

Ash: ugh, yuck. 9:30-5 day? I know people who have full time jobs pretty much do that every day, but it's still a long day

Libby: I'm so sorry you had a bad day. I totally understand how you feel about Bloodlines. I have no idea when my local stores are going to get it in anymore, but it sucks when you're told all English speaking countries are getting the book on the 23rd and then it turns out deliveries to people and stores are going to take longer than that.
Yeah, Forbidden's my book depo issue. I had to contact them again last week because it had been 2 weeks since they said it was "fixed" and books usually only take 8 days to get to me. No-one said if it had bee sent the first time, but I was told it was reordered last wednesday. I was sort of hoping I'd get 2 copies now, but I have a feeling it didn't go through the first time. Just have to wait and see what happens again. I've kept a massive record of all the drama, so if I don't get the book again I'm going to keep sending them emails and tweets until someone send me my damn book!
