What's everyone up to?

yeah they are colege classes i'm trying to get an MFA in creative writing. I actually hate reading books on a screen it annoys me to do degree

whats a MFA?

I wanted to major in English. But i was so scared it would kill my passion and love.

I got an Associates Degree in Sign Language and after two years of school i just about couldn't stand sign language anymore. I hope to go back to school to get my Bachelors and then masters. But i don't know in what field. I don't want to contuine in sign language- i dont want to be an interpreter i just always loved the languge and i have friends that are deaf and sign.

I have a years worth of credits at a four years university for Women Studies. You see i started at a 4 year school with the intentions of staying there to get a bachelors degree in women studies. But i failed a entrance test and so had to relocate out and take the test at a different school. I went to a community college for a semester and ended up staying the two years to get my associates ( in sign language) . Now i want to go back for my bachelors but not in sign language...and with my sign language degree, it just doesn't apply to anything really and if i go to a four year school, I'll just have to start all over. So i'm confused about what to do with school. But i hope to go back soon.

My fall back is English. But, i'm just scared to venture down that path. I love, loveee English but school just about ruined all my other interests and passions and i don't want that to happen, especially with my writing.

an MFA is a Masters In Fine Arts ... FIU here in florida has one of the top 10 best creative writing programs

I can't believe that my summer holz is over and that its almost a month since
Last Sacrifice came out. Uni is open from today but I start classes on Tuesday.

So I find out if I still have a job sometime next week O.o

I keep forgetting its different seasons for those of us in different parts of the world. I was like huh summer? Since outside my window there is still a pretty large amount of snow still on the ground lol.

This SUCKS. Yesterday I got on and had a really long reply and I hit send before checking to make sure i was still connected. Turns out i wasn't and I didn't have time to copy what I typed. Now i can't remember half of what I had said *sigh*

Hey Wilda, it's been a while since I've heard anything from you. I got LS the day after Christmas and I finished reading it later on the next morning (the 27th). It was AH-MAZING! I loved it! I was shocked to find out that Tasha killed the queen, framed Rose, just so she could get Dimka. *sigh* Stupid jealous, insane Moroi woman. *growls*

Hello Ladies! How is everyone?

I've managed to borrow my sister's internet for a little while. Thought I'd pop in and say hello.
My holiday is going fabulously. Got a lot of reading done. It's been a little cold this summer so less swimming, but I can feel today heating up so hopefully a few more opportunities to come. (it's 10:30 am atm)

Tasha, I just went back and reread through everything. I'm ss about that doctor. Are they running more test to find out for sure if its cancer or not? I really hope its not. I'll be Praying for your dad. HUGS.

MFA? That's awesome Sam. I've really been thinking about taking some creative writing classes. I'd love to go to FIU but its a bit of a drive for me. Plus it's impossible for me to go back to school right now. I don't want to put my son in daycare and my hubby is going back to school. He starts classes in May. So it's all put on hold of rme right now. How do you liek your writing and drama class?

Wilda - You don't have to take classes to get into writing. You could just sit down one day with pen and paper and come up with the nxt twilight.

Went out to mail a book out and ended up making a detour and splurging on clothes and stationary. I love the smell of fresh stationary.

hello everyone just here trying to spend some time with the hubby.... i been working at the clinic on a monday tru friday that i havent get some time for no one...

Wilda! I hope this year u have better internet. I missed seeing ur posts around! And thanks about my dad. We have an appointment next week for a consultation with a surgeon- either way cancerous or not, it has to be removed. The surgeon is gunna order all the tests and stuff to find out if its cancerous, if it spread and that sort of stuff. My dad said he feels fine. SO hopefully after surgery that's the last of these illnesses. And I wish u the best with school. I hope u don't feel bad about waiting til both ur kids are in school to go back. I honestly think thats the best reason for taking a hiatus from school.

Kim! Glad ur vacation is going good. Swimming sound ah-mazingggggggg right about now. It's snowing again in my parts of the woods. :-(

Being that the reason I'm not in school right now is my kids and hubby, I don't feel bad. As aggravating and boring as it can be, I love being a stay at home mom. I'm lucky to be able to do it. But I can't wait to go back to school or get a job and not be stuck at home 24/7.

I'm glad the tumor is coming out regardless if it's cancerous or not Tasha. Hopefully then your dad can get better and stay well.

I have actualyl started writing. I've been working on it for the past 2 weeks now and I'm really excited about it. It's kind of taken over my life though lol.

What's everyone's plans for the weekend? It'll just be me and the kiddies this weekend. Work is picking up again so my hubby will be working late again. It sucks but it's extra money so I can't really complain.

One of my best friend's sister's husband just came home yesterday from Afganistan. He was over there for 9 months. Seeing the pictures and seeing that priceless look on her face and their kids faces when he came home made me cry lol. His youngest son was only 6 months when he was deployed and he doesnt' even know his daddy. It makes me sad for them and every other family that has to go through that. I came close to having to go through it. But I got pregnant with our daughter and that changed his mind cause he wanted to be there.

ok enough rambling lol
