Ya'll I'll probably be a little quiet for the next two days. I have my lab final today and lecture final tomorrow. I'm going crazy with studying- so much to study. After thursday I plan on sleeping for two days straight- lol. Then i plan on digging out some books ( probably Harry Potter to re-read for the movie). But, if i'm on the site it's because I'm procrastinating studying. So feel free to yell at me if you see me logged on for a prolonged period of time..lol.

My uni courses are ganging up on me. Two of them this week were about the same topic, but in completely different subject areas. I had to lead an online discussion relating to Orientalism in my English class and then keep the discussion going throughout the week (it's still going, I've got to keep doing that one until Sunday night). Anyway, I was about to start my weekly reading for one of my History courses. I flipped through the reading kit and noticed a whole bunch of photos within the reading that had an Oriental look to them....then I read the title. Yep, it's a reading about Orientalism in the US.
I can not wait until this week is over, I'm so freaking sick of Orientalism.

I am getting nervious. School startes for me at the end of the month. I am trying not to stress about it but I need good grades so I can get into my major. Okay Amy. Breath, just breath. I'm okay or I will be.

Wilda: It's not just you, the thread did drop...maybe it has an automatic system or something that reduces the number of pages once the thread gets too full? You're weekend sounds like mine! Except I have to do all mine on Saturday because I'm going to the football again on sunday...I told myself I wasn't going to go often, but I can't stop going now...it make my dad really happy so I can put up with it. Plus I'm starting to learn the players' names...I still don't know all the rules (pentalties/onside-offside etc., but I'm getting there).

OMG! People are trying to kill me....with pretzel M&M's this last week people just keep giving them to me...and strawberry milk xD tis in heaven!

I wish people would just give me pretzel m&m's. I still haven't tried any but thats my fault. I saw them yesterday in walmart and chose something else. I'll have to pick some up tomorrow when I go back to the store.

My weekend will consist of reading, reading, shopping, and more reading. Maybe throw some swimming in there and maybe some sleep as well. Yeah that'd be great. I actually slept fairly well last night. Fell asleep around 1am woke up once when the hubby's alarm went off at 4 woke up at 5:45 and then my son got me up at 6:45am. I'm still super sleepy and I woke up with a damn headache for the second time in 2 days. but I do feel better than I have been. If only I can stop waking up with a headache *sigh*.

Amy, try not to stress over school so much, you'll be fine. And if you do start to stress, just take a few deep breaths to help calm you down. It's helping me out so maybe it can help you out too

I guess this thread reached it's bandwidth and so just erased all those pages and started over. Let's keep track of how far it goes this time. Lol.

Kim- are you talking about football as in quarterbacks and stuff or football as in soccer? I get so confused with that. I wish we had like a local high school or university team to follow and go to games to watch. But we don't. So we just follow the pro's on tv. And, my bf/fiance is a HUGE football fan so I've been slowly getting into it the past 3 years. The first year it was like eh being polite and considerate. The second was forced since we started to live together. The third year I was actually remembering players and stuff so i was following players( not teams lol). This year, i'm slightly more excited because the rules and stuff are becoming clearing.

Today, I woke up to a 100 dollars. My dad gave me a 100 dollars for being done with school and up for graduation. He was all sad saying he wanted to give me ALOT more but you know since he's been sick and not working he doesn't have the money. I felt bad even taking the 100 but he wouldn't take no for an answer and I didn't have my coffee yet so my brain couldn't process everything lol . But, here's my questions. Do i spend it on things I need orrrrrr spend it on books to read? I say books lol. I'm not that mature/responsible yet and i really want some new books to read.

I missed some stuff...lol

Chloe - congrats on the job! I need to start working on finding one too...lol. I admire you being able to work in a cafe. I would go absolutely crazy around coffee- I'm a coffee addict ..lol. And you like the way I talk? Lol How do i talk? Is it stereotypical new york style? BTW how's Gracie?

Wilda might kill me, but I found those M&M's! haha I got them after my first attempt out of the house! I went to Walmart and to Kohl's, god remind me to use my pregnant lady super powers to get mad at the store clerk for making me cry. All I wanted was shoes! Clearly being seven months pregnant and moody as hell doesn't mean anything to anyone in my path.

Your Dad gave you the money for you to spend on you so I say spend your money on whatever you want and if thats books, then go for it. I sure would. I would lvoe to have an extra $100 to spend on books. Sadly though that wouldnt even cover half of the books on my TBR list lol. Have fun with the money and enjoy it. You've earned it

Tasha: Um neither...? It's Rugby (Rugby League to be exact, not rugby union which is almost the same except apparently there are differences), so I guess closer to the whole quarterback thing. It's not soccer, because we call soccer "soccer" here, lol. It's an Eastern Australian thing (and part NZ, because they have one team and there's a heap of NZ players in the other teams too)...Different areas in a few states have their teams and they all play each other on the weekends. My family are big Roosters supporters (that's our team: Sydney Roosters) . Normally I wouldn't care about football, I don't understand half the rules, know hardly any players (even in the team I actually follow...I can identify like 7 players, after that I'm screwed) ... anyway, I've started caring and now my mum's worried I'm going to the dark side (aka. the football loving/watching side) ... I had to convince her last night that I was still me by promising to read a vampire book before bed...she was relieved.


And I reckon you should spend the $100 on something you want. It's supposed to be your "Happy graduation" present, so it should go towards something you'll enjoy

Lol, it's still all very confusing for me. There's this thing in both Rugby Union and Rugby League called a "scrum" but they have different meanings and effects in both versions...It's supposed to be like a foot war to get possession of the ball, but I don't get why they do it in League because it has no meaning at all. It's confusing, but in league there's no war for it, it just get's giving to a certain team based on something or other (you can tell I'm super informed here) and then they play on. If it has no purpose, WHY DO THEY DO IT!? Ridiculous.

And I realise it's likely no-one followed that little rant at all, but that's ok..because it really is that strange.

...And my football team lost 12-19 It was an extremely close game! And I guess they were playing against the top team (though we're coming 3rd so it's not like we're crap....) Oh well, next week we'll be better....Although I can't watch the game because I'll be at a friend's 21st party. Damn him for having his birthday on a football night jks.
