VA Graphic Novel coming 2011

If any of you guys have been keeping tabs on RM's blog, she said she had some news she would be announcing at Comic Con today. About an hour ago she RT a message on her Twitter saying that a VA graphic novel will be coming out next summer.

Edit: According to Amazon, the graphic novel will be out August 18, 2011.

I'm not a fan of graphic novels, but I just might have to get the VA one just for the picture of shirtless Dimitri.

I'll probably pick it up. I think it just to increase the movie's target audience.

I don't know if I'll get it or not....there's something slightly disappointing about a Graphic Novel. I mean, it's awesome that VA is being made into different things, but at the same time it won't be like reading Richelle's story, there won't be the same Rose-internal-dialogue ans such. It'll be lacking all the good bit. I find graphic novels are like a way to cheat the story...get the main points without reading the whole thing.

I agree with you. But I might get it anyway for the art. I really actually like the way they portrayed Rose on the cover (LOVE that hair!!). Dimitri and Lissa could be better I guess. Lissa looks quite plain, and Dimitri's supposed to be in a leather cowboy-esque duster, not some frilly looking coat.

The only reason why I *don't* like that there's going to be a VA graphic novel is because Twilights' been there, done that. I feel like VA is copying off of that success now. Although I *do* think the VA graphic novel looks WAY better than the Twi one.

i just heard about that even tho not a big fan of graphic novels will be picking this one up.

I actually looked at the Twilight graphic novel...
While I think the book is poorly written...
I would take it over the graphic novel...
I think the VA one is going to suck...
There's not as much internal stuff because they can't draw that.

But in all setriousness, when do we see armed interventions against the Strigoi?

I'm not personally a fan of graphic novels btu I will definitely get the VA one

The graphic novel has an official release date! August 23, 2011 same day as Bloodlines

Im not usually a fan of graphic novels But reading this I kinda adore it. I dont need all the internal stuff. I already know it. It's just more VA to go around. I think we all here can appreciate that.
