Don't you find it weird in the Series that.....

Don't you find it weird that nobody else noticed the relationship with Rose and Dimitri (in exception to Adrian of course, but the people closest to them).

What do you think?

What? You mean like, no one noticed Rose' and Dimitri's feelings for each other?
I don't think thats weird...I mean, not everyone can read what other people feel about another person...or perhaps they just didn't care?

Yeah, I don't think it was too weird. Dimitri was training Rose constantly, it would have just looked like a close friendship. I mean, people wouldn't just assume there was something going on just because they were hanging around each other. It's the same as your own friendships, not everyone who you hang out with constantly would ever be considered in a relationship with you. And Rose flirted with people still and had classes and such.
But RM did say (or maybe it was in Shadow Kiss) that after Rose made a big deal about what happened to Dimitri people started connecting the dots. People, just passed over it all.

I don't find it all that weird. It's called being discreet. I do find it just a bit weird that Lissa didn't notice. But then again not (sorry Tony, this is going to hurt) all because she was so self-absorbed with her Spirit practices and Christian.

I know... poor Rose. Lissa is like the worst best friend anyone could have.

It's like the only thing Lissa did for Rose was bring her back/Shadow Kiss. Granted, that's pretty big. But come on. Rose always had to be there for Lissa. You never hear of Lissa saying, "So hey, how are you? Everything OK? Tell me who's cute!" It's always Rose to be the strong one. So yeah, Lissa kinda is a bad friend.

Who knows? Maybe Lissa will turn around and be a better friend to Rose.

I have been wondering how people are taking Rose's drop out, its going to be interesting if we get to know what conclusion they come up with.

Just wait for the book. I'll say no more.

I don't find it odd at all. Rose can lie well, and since Lissa can't tell that she's lying about freezing up during the first field practice attack, how's she going to know that Rose has feelings for a guy? She touches on the subject once, but Rose adeptly distracts her.

Also, I have a feeling that I'm eventually going to end up in a huge argument with some people on here because I don't think Lissa is a bad friend. She's preoccupied, yes; that's not a crime. She DOES make time for Rose, and anyone who's read about Ambrose and the spa can't deny that Lissa asks about who's cute and wants to know about Rose's life. That's partly why Rose feels so crappy about keeping her relationship with Dimitri from Lissa.

I think Lissa is a pretty good friend considering her princess status.
I think she was a bit selfish at the end of SK though.
Lissa should've picked up on. Not that Rose was in a relationship but she had strong feelings from Dimitri.

Natalie was spying on Rose and Lissa. Obviously she was going to pick up on it faster than Lissa, who wasn't examining Rose under a microscope, you know? So Victor found out through Natalie, because Nat's a perceptive little Moroi. Or she was.

Also, Alberta clued in to the same thing as Lissa, probably. Rose was heartbroken over Dimitri and people started putting the pieces together.... I'm fairly certain that if Alberta had known about their relationship before Dimitri died, there would have been hell to pay.

And yeah, she was selfish at the end of SK, but I liked her for it. I'm odd. Lissa's always been a great friend, and I liked seeing her friendship with Rose get strained instead of continuing to stay perfect.

If I was a student there, I would not notice that they have a more intense relationship. None of the other dhampirs have wierd practices like she does, and she's there alot, so why wouldn't they be friends. I also like seeing Lissa a bit selfish. No one is the perfect friend, how would you feel that the person you've always confided to, was your rock is a sense had to leave? I think Lissa forgives her, I mean she would do the same for Christian. Dimitri and Rose are pretty good at hiding the fact, and when they are together it is often quite private. I like how the characters are imperfect like that.
