Banning books is the stupidest thing ever. I do however enjoy all of the funny comments Richelle and her friends are posting on their Twitters about the banned book from the future.

I know i acutally found that as rather funny.

It is quite funny and just really random as well that the book is banned!

Well I do think we have something like that in the netherlands but it's not as big as in America. I always wonder why people do that. And reading that a book could even be banned before it comes out made me laugh, how can you do that when you don't even know what's going to be in it?

Seriously, why do they ban books? Isn't it some sort of cencorship? What do we have, dictatorship??

No, just a bunch of idiots that dislike people thinking for themselves and who want to brainwash everyone.

I think that parents should take an active interest in their kids' reading choices. Stupid parents going on witch hunts because of (inappropriate) books only happen because they find out about a book they don't want their kids to read (and mostly likely have never read themselves). How about setting that aside and picking up a book they *do* want them to read instead?

I mean... ok, if it was a book written with bad purposes, let it be. But it's just literature! And they don't even know what this is....! Complete lack of common sense.....

I think they're really just doing Richelle a favor. Banning the book is just going to get more people interested in the series. People are always interested in controversoy.

That is so freaking stupid. I really just don't understand the point of banning books. I can respect someone for not wanting/letting their own kid(s) read certain books but they do NOT have the right to make it where other people's kids aren't allowed to read them. As a parent myself-even though my kids aren't even old enough to read yet, I think it is MY right to choose what books my children should and should not read. Those who ban books are taking that right from parents away. These books are NO worse than the movies these kids are already watching. I mean it's not like the YA authors are describing the nudity or the sex. That I could understand but then it wouldn't be labeled YA it would be labeled Adult. People just need to keep their noses out of other people's business and find something better to do with their lives than banning books.

You have a very good point there.

And I agree parents should take an interest and monitor what their kids are reading. If they deem it inappropriate then that is their right to tell their kid they can't read that book and they should help their child pick out a book they find appropriate. But causing that book to be banned where other kids can't get it and removing that decision from their parent(s) isn't right at all.

Just one more reason Richelle Mead is my favorite author. She is just that, an author. She writes books for enjoyment. Banning a book in general is absolutley closed minded and shows an inferior intellect among a world of creative, introspective people. Thanks for all the free press!

There is absolutley no reason for the censorship and that fact that it would be getting younger kids to read in teh first place is a novel concept. Im in my 5th year of college and my friend at work has 3 kids and this is our favorite series (i lent her my books).

Parents should moniter what their children are reading, true, but if Edward and Bella can have crazy sex in Twilight, there is absolutley no reason for the ban of this book. Just saying.... I would credit her for a stimulating series instead of trying to be a tyrant to make yourself feel godlike by interfering in matters that are clearly over your head you pompous, arrogant piece of pestulant waste. Go ban yourself.

Btw, the reason i have such elevated diction is because I read, im sure he cannot say the same as he passes judgement before taking in all of the facts. Kudos to Richelle for a histerical reaction that makes me smile! I am so excited that i might be able to meet her...... Provided my exam ends in time and i get back in time for my other exams. 5 minutes from my old house!!! Ahhh!!!!
