| They have decided against releasing DH in 3D. They said that it didn't come out as good as they want and don't ahve the time to make it better so they'd rather not have 3D than bad 3D. I've never seen a movie in 3D before but I was really looking forward to seeing DH in 3D. But I agree with their decision. Only 42 days and 14 hrs to go til the midnight release on the East Coast of the US Also in case you didn't know they are releasing the Harry Potter Film Wizardry book on Oct. 19th. | |

| Found out its the 18th for me. Trying to decide on whether I should catch a midnight session. What about part 2? the part with dragon would be cool in 3D. | |

| I haven't heard much about part 2 but I do hear that they are planning on releasing the last couple of movies in 3d on dvd or bluray. I'm not sure how that'll turn out though.
As for midnight releases, unless you are willing to deal with so many people, I would avoid it. The midnight release for both movies is going to be madness. Although anytime during opening weekend will be crazy...

| Yah, i'm going to wait a week or two before seeing the movie. I almost never go to the movies anymore, i just can't stand crowds and the tallest person ever ALWAYS sits right in front of me. Tickets are so much money now a days, i just dont like wasting the money( it's like 13.50 for regular tickets and almost 20 bucks for 3d or imax tickets). Actually the last time i went to the movies was for the previous HP movie. LOL. I either download, watch it on cable or on demand or my brother buys blu rays all the time. But im definitely going to go see it, but when the hype calms down a bit. | |

| tickets here are $10. Idk about the imax and 3d tickets though. I haven't decided if I'm going to go opening weekend or wait. I'm so impatient idk if I can wait past the 20th to see it but I really hate crowds. Specially rowdy teenage crowds (on effense to anyone). | |

| Only 10 days 15 ish hours until the midnight release. I think I have decided to wait a week before seeing it. It's going to be hard but I think it'll be worth it to wait and let the madness die down some.
Has anyone been keeping up with all the new clips and stuff released? Everything look sooooo good. I definitely think DH is going to be the best HP movie.

| I know! Every time a commercial comes on tv, it's a like a second or two of something new. I lost track. But the other night the geek in me was overpowered the calm side of me and anticipation took over and i started squealing with excitement. My hubby was like -___-... he likes the movies but he just can't handle when i go hype and crazy...especially since I've been raging about LS and a few other books and their releases.
But, I'm definitely waiting to see it. the wait wont be so bad for me cause I'm always super busy doing things and caring for my dad- and the movies is a hassle to go too. But it'll be even harder when the bootlegs ( even more so the good quality bootlegs) are leaked on the internet. I refuse to watch it bootlegs of things I'm a fan of and support- i want to show my contribution. But my hubby would get the bootleg in a heartbeat. Lol.

Anyway, I so can't wait for this movie. My sis and I are so going opening day. You aren't alone in this regard. Its either at Thursday or Friday that my family and i are going in, as well. Let these movies give the series a viking's funeral, at least!(Still recalls vikings from H.T.T.Y.D!)

| I'm waiting a week and going the 27th. Hopefully the theaters won't be as crowded as they will be this weekend. The wait is going to drive me crazy but it should be worth it. | |

| Seen it. Most awesome movie yet. Went for the first morning sessions - all the kids were in school so it was pretty empty.

| Just got back. Overall, I thought it was pretty good. I've never been a huge fan of the movies, but so far I like this one. However, some things bothered me: - Spoiler:
- They didn't let Dudley say goodbye. This majorly disappointed me as it was one of my favorite parts in the book.
- Pettigrew's silver hand didn't strangle him when the trio were at the Malfoy's mansion.
- They never explained that "Voldemort" was taboo and anyone who said it would be located by Death Eaters.
- Harry didn't grab Moody's eye from Umbridge's office door. He just leaves it. Lame.
- There was NO emotion from Harry regarding Hedwig's death.
- Kreacher's story about how RAB came into possession of the locket was cut short.
- Dobby shows up at Grimmauld Place. WTF?
- They didn't show Kreacher and Harry becoming friends. Since Kreacher later leads the house elves in the battle of Hogwarts, it seems almost important for them to have included it imo.
- Harry and Hermione didn't even TRY to disguise themselves when they went to Godric's Hollow. Also didn't see the invisibility cloak the entire movie.
- It seemed like they wasted time with a bunch of stuff that wasn't in the book when they could've put in things that actually were (Lily's letter, Tonks's pregnancy, the Dursleys, Dumbledore, etc.)
I realize they couldn't include everything in the book, and I do think the adaptation was pretty good, despite being a bit rushed. In fact, it's the best of the series. I'm looking forward to Part 2. My sister liked it, and she has never read the books. The movie might have been a little difficult for her to follow if I hadn't been there to explain it though.

I was expecting to hear Lee's radio broadcast instead of a dance sequence. Wasn't Dean snatched too. Lily's letter I think has significance and should've been included. As for the Hedwig bit - I think focusing on George and Fred was good Fred's death (or George's ) will me more emotional in part 2. Same thing with Dobby showing up earlier. Did expect Lupin to visit as well. They do things from Voldemorts perspective. They could've included Ginny and Neville at Hogwarts. I can't even remember seeing Madeye's eye.
I think its still the best in the series.

-Why did they forget about Remus Lupin's urgencies to give aid to Harry, along with his Leonidas-esque moments? -Also, while we got lucky that Bill Weasley was casted, i lost all hope for Charlie, and in addition, why did they forget to bring in Dean Thomas outside the school?
Otherwise, if the last movie is even better, then this movie series may be on its way to a positive viking's funeral, after all, agreed?
