idk about Alice. That just seems very unlikely imo but you never know. I just can't really imagine reading from her pov. And for the love of VA I can't remember who the heck Jill is. Definitely think I need to re-read the books before SB comes out. Jill is the freshman that has a crush on Adrian. If I remember correctly, she's a moroi that's for moroi learning to fight alongside dhampirs against strigoi. I agree with you about Alice. She really only a had a really small part in like Shadow Kiss I believe. There's far more interesting characters that would work better as a main character for a spin-off series. I think Sydney or Mia would be the best choice.

| Does anyone know if the 6 characters will be in separate books or just another series that includes these characters. From different points of views.

| The Spin-off series will be about the secondary characters. From what Richelle has said, it sounds like the spin-off will center around one of the secondary characters while also bumping up the roles of the other characters whose appearances in the original series were also scarce. She doesn't write any of her books from multiple point of views, so I don't expect her that with the spin-off series. | |

| I'm not so sure about Abe. He's had a pretty big role in the last two books and will undoubtedly play a big role in The Last Sacrifice too. All of Abe's storylines are wrapped into whatever is going on with Rose, so I don't think he can be a main character if Rose is not a main character too. | |

| Well all the main characters from the original series will still be in the spin-off, they'll just be reduced to secondary characters. I think Abe will fall into that category since his story lies more with Rose than Sydney. You do have a point though that there will need to be some Abe if Sydney is the main character. | |

| Richelle says that Rose will cameo occasionally. Glad we still kind of get to read about her. | |

| Hey, RM just answered someone's question on Twitter about whether the VA spin-off will be in Sydney's pov. Here's what she said: - Quote :
- It's written in 3rd person...so no one will be the narrator, exactly.

hmmm. that should be interesting. I know right? All of her books so far have been in 1st pov. It'll be interesting to see how she tackles 3rd. Will she follow multiple characters (heroes and villains style) or will she follow one predominant character (like how JK Rowling did HP)... lol I'm very curious about this.

Well, Jk Rowling switched PoVs occasionally too...not to the point where you wouldn't call it "Harry's story" but there were a few switches. I'm really excited about the 3rd person story. I love 1st person because you can identify with characters really easily. But some of my favourite novels are in 3rd person and I love how you get that ghosting feeling, like you're looking over the character's shoulder the whole time. Very cool.

I'm actually kinda glad it'll be in 3rd person pov because now I won't feel like Rose is being replaced. Mostly I was worried that Sydney was going to be the narrator because I don't really like her all that much. I figured I could get used to her if she ended up narrating the spin-off, but I think this is much better. It's always cooler when you can see what's happening with multiple characters at the same time.

| Yes, in books in third person you can see a lot more of the other characters and what they're thinking..
well I hope they will be great as V.A. , because I read the first book of the spin-off of another series (Study Series) and wasn't good!!!

| I don't really like Sydney either. I think she's kinda a stuck up b****. I'm glad we won't have to be stuck in her Vampire-Hating mind. I think it'll mostly be set at the school. I think it'd be cool if Eddie took a job as a school guardian. | |

| No, sydney's cool. Ok, she hates vampires, but it'd have been cool if we could see HER point of view... | |

I think that's a little bit mean, don't you? I mean she was brought up that way so it's actually totally understandably that she doesn't like them. Dhampirs and Morois are also brought up to hate Strigoi and nobody flames them for that. Especially after we've read everything with Dimka being a Strigoi and he wasn't all that mean all the time ... so I think it's nice of Sydney to at least try to accept vampires ... which she does in the end!
