Aw you guys! You made me all watery eyed. Thank you so much for your kindness I appreciate it very much. My daddy is still in bad shape. But, he's a TINY bit, just a fraction better than yesterday. He's still in intensive care but we're hopeful for him. One day at a time.

Exactly. Look at the good and not the bad.

I'm glad he's a little better Tasha. Shows very good signs...I'll keep my fingers crossed until he's recovered completely.

What am I up to right now? Rubbing my sore ankle cause falling down the stairs hurts!!!

And oh man... Keep us posted on your dad Peace. I hope he gets better soon.

Yeah... just one stair though. Mostly I hit the tile on the bottom. So I guess it's more like I tripped down the stairs huh? Not terribly fun either way.

Ouch...falling down the stairs does kill..I fell down it with a plastic microwave in my hand once (when i was like 5 and the microwave was from my playhouse )

Has anyone heard from Tasha? I was wondering how her dad is and how she's holding up.

Sorry, I've been peeking in the site everyday just super drained to keep up with all the topics.

My daddy is still the same. Still in intensive care. Not worse. But not showing any signs of improvement. Still needing the oxygen to breathe. He's more lucid and concious but still slurs his words. He can't walk or even move much. The most he can do is the nurses help him sit up in a chair and then he can move his hands to like hold a cup or page through a newspaper. But he shakes so much and he can't do things like open a bottle because he has no strength. He's realllll grumpy though, which i think is a good sign. I was in school all day yesterday from 9am to 7pm so i didn't get to the hospital to see him until 730ish. He was sleeping so i just sat with him for a few hours. A nurse came by to take his temp and not wanting to wake him she tries to use his armpit. My dad felt it and woke up scared almost punching the nurse. lol. The nurse was like sorry! sorry! I was on the floor dying laughing. lol.

lol well that sounds like a good sign. I'm sorry he's not getting any better. It sounds like you are staying strong though which is good. Going to school probably helps huh? I'll keep your dad and you and your family in my Prayers. And I don't expect you to come in and talk much I just wanted to check up on you make sure your holdin up ok. We're all here for you.

Tasha that's wondeful that he is getting much better. I hope our little family prayer circle is helping. I almost like died when you said that your dad would punch the nurse, grumpy, deffinitely a good sign.

Wilda its like he was just the WHOLE commercial!!! I was like "If he doesn't want her can I have him?" haha

Today my dad is stubborn and mr grouch big time.
He said " I'm going!" My mom was like where you think your goin? He said " HOME!". Lol. He's still in intensive care and will be for awhile. He can't stand or walk or even move much. Today he was so stubborn and grouchy so when leaving i told him stop being stubborn and he says " im not stubborn... its my way or the highway!" So my brother said " well dad, your highway is under construction right now so behave" lol.

My parents are going away for a week...except even though it was supposed to start today, it might be pushed back to tomorrow. The island they're going to doesn't let planes land if it's really windy (because they only take little planes) and the last few days have apparently been really windy and today is worse. So they're at the airport at the moment, but might be heading home later today.

I'm going to spend the morning finishing a history essay (600 words to go...would have been 900 except since I was up at 5am to take parents to the airport I did a bit of essay writing before breakfast). And then out tonight for a friend's birthday. Should be a fun-ish day.

Tasha ~ It sounds like your dad is realing fighting, which is good. I can't believe he almost punched the nurse. I'm glad he is able to sleep. My father couldn't sleep in the hospital and he was there for only three days. So that's good for your dad.
