What's everyone up to?

Congrats Kim. I don't even have a hard copy of VA. I have the ebook. I have the paperback for Frostbite n Shadow Kiss and Hardcover for Blood Promise. I've been meaning to pick up a copy of VA but whenever I have money i prefer to buy something new or a book from another series. But, my bday is June and I"m going to ask my bro to do what he did for Christmas for. Order a BUNCH of books online so i can conveniently get VA then.

Everyone at first was like "it aint guna work y'know" But we've been dating for 4 months on Saturday which is his longest relationship comapred to like 4 days I think the same, they need to broaden their minds - there's nothing different about girls that aren't cheerleaders apart from the fact that they don't give themselves up to you straight away (pardon my comment to any cheerleaders not like that) so I dislike them too, although I obviously had feelings for Shane and alot of people do get hurt by them. I don't want to change him, change him because I love him the way he is, but I'm glad he's not a player anymore

And I have all paperback copies, I don't really like hardback's so I tend to order paperbacks online if they're not in the store. With HON - Tempted I had to borrow the book off my friend because I couldn't buy a hardback with the others all being paperback

I have a habit of winning books I already own...correction, vampire books I already own. It's odd, but super cool at the same time

I'm not a big fan of ebooks. I have Shadow Kiss on ebook along with books 3 and 4 of the Succubus series but I haven't read them yet simply cause I'm not a fan of reading books on the computer. I prefer to have them in my hand and rest comfortably while ready them.

Chloe I'm the opposite. I prefer hardbacks to paperbacks. But if there's a big price difference between ahrdbacks and paperbacks I get paperbacks. I have a lot more paperbacks than hardbacks. I really hate it when they start a series out in paperbacks and then after the first couple books start the new ones in hardback like VA has done. It kind of makes it hard to keep a series in either hardback or paperback

I lent a book to my friend once, and then when she was done she lent it to someone else without me knowing..and when I got it back I was fuming because ..hold your breaths..there was creasing down the sides and the cover was bent! Others on here might not care about creasing but I really do! I was like "what the hell..how can you get it that creased" So I ended up whacking my friend round the head with the book (don't worry it didn't hurt her that much ), sold it at a old-book store in a town down the road and bought a new one
I know that may sound stupid and spoilt to some of you, but I have like a massive old-dec bookshelf and all the books face out obviously and I go crazy looking at them if they aren't perfect..so Yes, I'm a bookfreak!

LOL Chloe. I don't blame you, I would have been pissed. I'm very protective over my books. I rarely let anyone borrow them.

I'm a bit aggravated right now. I went to Walmart and Target to get Spells and neither had it. It was super hot and the damn ac broke in my car so I brought the kids home. Guess I'll have to drive the distance and traffic to Books A Million to get it. I'll go in the morning after I get Isabelle to school before it gets too hot. So now I'm bored and going crazy waiting to get the book. If it wasn't for my daughter's bedtime being at 8pm (It's 7pm here) then I'd go now but I wouldn't make it back in an hour not with traffic like it is.

Oh get this Isabelle begged me to watch New Moon so I put it on and she doesn't even wait 2 mins before she goes to her room to watch tv. Now she only comes out at the parts that Jacob is in My son Tyler is the only one actually watching it and he's only 20 months old lol

I'm protective of my books too. I hate creases...but you just can't get that many hardback books over here. They're pretty much all paperback unless it's a SUPER famous author and its their latest book.

Argh book abuse makes me crazy!! I'm so protective of my books, I give my sister a lecture on the proper way to treat a book every time I lend her one of mine. I also really hate it when you order a book online and they package it really crappy and it arrives all bent and dented. I mean seriously.

One time my dog put his nose all over the book I lent to my mom. That annoyed me too. Since she left it out in a place where he could get to it.

I generally prefer hardcover books because it's harder to really damage them. Paperbacks tend to get little dents in the covers.

That's why I give the "proper way to treat books" lecture too AND rarely lend my books to anyone other than family or REALLY close friends. It's the only way to protect them. If I don't trust the person I just give book recommendations...it always makes me feel bad, but I know I'll feel worse if I get back a book that's damaged.

The only people I let borrow my books are my mom and 2 of my cousins. It took all I could to let them borrow my VA books too and thats cause they are the ones who introduced em to VA in the first place. I swear I felt lost without them being on my bookshelf lol. My bookshelf is in my room away from everyone. I hate it when people come over and just rumbled through them. Messing them up and putting them out of order. So I had it moved to my room and no one is allowed in my room except the hubby and he knows better than to touch the bookshelf lol

Im the only reader in my family and friends. So i dont have that book damage problem. I prefer hardcovers cause i love to keep them in tact but i almost always buy paperback since its cheaper. Except if it s a series and the first release is in hardcover.I actually am protective over my books, but i love when they become worn from reading. Not damaged like dog ear pages or ripped or anything... but when you read a book so many times the pages turn color, the book opens effortlessly. A coffee drop on my favorite page. I don't know why, i think when books become that way it gives it character. But, its a big difference from damaged. Im very careful and protective over my books.

I love those "how to treat a book" lectures..I stopped lending my books out a while ago now, but I lend them to my one friend who's like obsessed with books being kept nice aswell. I saw my friend reading a really nice and new book in school free period the other day and was like "Can you open the book any wider? For goodness sake, Close it up more, that's a brand new book and your going to make creases! Honestly...look give it here, I'll show you how you do it.." -heheeee

Ewww, Shanes dog did that once to a book of his..well he got close and I was like "NOOOOOO!" I picked up the dog, put his book on the shelf and then put his dog back down again It was one of Shanes only book, I couldn't just sit and watch damage be done...

It's so nice outside. I want to get coffee and go on an adventure.

Trying to relax after a good day of subbing, worked with 7th and 8th graders. Now I'm working on a character bio for Karolina Belikov. Shadowkissed.net asked fams to write the bios. Check it out.

I'm waiting for class to start...another 25 minutes to go...it's sort of cold outside the room, but some security guy just walked into the lecture room and they sometimes kick you out of it if you're in the room before you're "allowed" to be...so I think I'll stay outside still

Well today I visited the V&A (Victoria and Albert) Museum...which I LOVEDDDD!
And then the Natural History Museum..which kinda bored me..so I went outside and led on the steps with Shane, and some friends...it was baking!!!! Why not work on a tan while I can 'ey?

Today I had an other boring day in school with an three hour lesson in electricity safty >__<. and then I had a big essay in History, and I forgot my bus and train (which I need to be abel to get to school) card so I had some trouble with getting to school, well well, all days can't be perfect.

I think I'm going to sleep soon and hope for a better day tomorrow. I'm going hiking with some friends over the weekend. =)

I'm on a total love high today!
Today is me and my boyfriends official 6 month anniversery and we ditched school. He took me to lunch and we drove around talking for about three hours and then went to an abandon parking lot to share a little non secret lovey dovey time. I have the weight of this promise ring weighing my finger down so I guess its a sign about Jeff wanting to tell or ask me something tonight. So now I'm letting my hair dry from everything my mom has put in it and breaking in my heels, ugh terrifying, and letting my nails not break off. My dress is silky and rather itchy but I love it! I'm going to be dead by the end of tonight, only because Jeff is taking me dancing and hopefully I'll get a question asked tonight!

I've going to Musuem visiting today. Technically it's for a uni assessment, but I only have to visit one for it and I can't decide which museum I want to write about so I'm going to 2 and then I'll make up my mind some other time. Have a good day.

Well today I have to sub for a half day then I think I might read and maybe work on my book and take my dog for a walk.
