I'm a newbie in this forum who happens to be an aspiring author as well!

I'm E.C., a teenager from the Philippines. I'm pretty much a new VA fan, I finished Frostbite just this week. I still haven't read the third and fourth book, but I plan to once I have enough allowance to buy the two books. However, I love the VA books a lot. Richelle Mead's a very good writer, she deserves more attention than that other writer who can't even write (according to Stephen King's infamous words).

Anyway, other books I love (vampire or not) are Anne Rice's "Vampire Chronicles", JK Rowling's "Harry Potter", and Neil Gaiman's "Stardust". Still there are other books, but I plan to read Bram Stroker's "Dracula".

Another thing is that I'm writing a book about vampires too. About teen vampires too, but trying my best for originality and macabre-like standards. Still doing the first book though...

Frank Miller, not yet. But Darren Shan, yes! I have a copy of Cirque du Freak. I'm thinking of reading it again, I didn't touch it since fourth grade. I'm a high school senior now, so that's really a long long time :O.

Yeah, I heard about Anita Blake series... they were initially good but went downhill afterward.

Let me guess...the Cast for the series ended up getting contemptable, so while the Vampire Academy Cast is more tolerable than either the twilight or Anita Blake Casts, we can't be sure the ends will justify the means for Vampire Academy, yet, can we?

im writing--a moment in time. discription-- becky is 15 and pregnant. shes going threw a hard time a the moment. her brother resently dead and her father suddenly reapperce from thin air. follow becky as she figures out her life and where she is with it.--that might not sound like something you would read but give it a try, you never know, you may like it. (this isnt my vampire one, this could happen to any girl.)
my other book is a vampire one but i dont know what to call it.-- kayla is a 18 year old girl and has been turned into what she thinks is a good vampire but what she doesnt relise is that there is a nother kind out there, the good kind.her boyfriend, dimitri, is the one responcible for this. he worls for a higher lord, a lord that has a proficy and that proficy has kayla and her best friends names all over it so dimitri was set out to find and capture kayla.-- sorry in my head that doesnt sound to good but the actual story sounds good, well to me it does.
